Royal Style - more outfits as lockdown eases, not more black we hope

Hello, wonderful royal style fans - here's the next thread as the last one will get full soon. Please continue with the great pics, fantastic knowledge and wonderful observations!

Love the tartan of the coat, still on the fence about the brass buttons on everything. They look like they are really enjoying the trip and really engaging with everything. Or maybe that's what we'd all look like if we got a chance to get away without the kids.

I love Kate's Holland Cooper blue & green plaid trench coat she wore in Edinburgh today. Spot on, complete with all the classic trench coat features including fab embossed buttons, and beautifully cut and tailored.

She arrived in Phil's old Land Rover for the finishing touch!

Oh yes, and I think that blue and green peacock colour combination looks super on her! 🦚 🦚 🦚 🦚

That tartan coat is a big hit for me. Love the colours, the detailing and the shape. I think it suits her perfectly and the green shoes are fab.

They do look as if they are having such a good time.

It's such a shame there's hardly any mention in the news of what seems to be a very successful visit. I'm in Scotland and if it wasn't for seeing the pictures that are posted here, I wouldn't even know they were here.

Wouldn't wear the coat in a fit but Kate looks stunning in that pic. Totally her colours and she just looks fab.

That coat is stunning! I love a patterned trench coat (I also loved the checked trench Meghan wore on her tour of New Zealand). I’d probably not buy something with so many gold buttons for myself to wear, but completely see that they add to the coat when worn by Kate.

Although the coat isn't my style it is a beautiful colour/colours/tartan & looks smashing on Kate.

As she's got nice legs I hope Kate has the matching shorts

I think I’d like the coat more if it wasn’t being worn in Scotland? It’s just become a bit of a cliche for me - Kate goes to Scotland, Kate wears tartan. I do love the cut of it, and it fits beautifully. It’s just so expected now, I’d love her to ring the changes a bit. I’d also love to see her wear it somewhere that isn’t Scotland!

Oh god I think that coat is awful. Way too long for those shoes. Awful breasting.

Camilla is lovely and summery in Clapham today, in a blue floral print silk dress by Fiona Clare, one of her favourite designers.

Photos on Twitter of today's engagement for Cambridge's. Kate in a bottle green suit with polka dot blouse and white trainers (not sure if they're veja's from yesterday). It's a hit from me. She also looks in her element, gardening with children.

The D of C has gone to meet a little girl who wanted to meet a princess in a pink dress. She wore a fab, wafty candyfloss pink dress.

I thought the coat was beautiful and the earrings - swoon! She really looks great.
The tartan thing is a big misstep for a Scottish audience though. A bit like an Englishman insisting on walking round Paris in a stripy top and beret with onions round his neck. Better than Prince Charles in a kilt though. Causes most Scots toothache.

Come to think of it, has William ever donned a kilt in Scotland?

Yes. Hell the little girl has leukaemia and was shielding and is in a photo in the book. They spoke on the phone and she said she wanted to meet a princess in a pink dress.
