Royal Style - more outfits as lockdown eases, not more black we hope

Hello, wonderful royal style fans - here's the next thread as the last one will get full soon. Please continue with the great pics, fantastic knowledge and wonderful observations!

She looks quite like Kate!!

She looks young! Proof if we needed it (which we didn’t) of how ageing those styles were.

@HeyGirlHeyBoy I've always thought Kate looked like Diana. If she ditched her signature long dark locks for a short blonde 'do then I think it would be far more noticeable!

I was just going to post the exact same thing! I still struggle to think of her as anything other than middle-aged, as beautiful as she was. It's the hair!

There's photos of the first event. It's a blue jacket and pleated skirt. Jacket is straight from the 80s. A miss from me.

I cannot unsee that jockstrap!

Long haired Diana looks like Madeleine

10 points to whoever predicted that shade of blue.

I had a jacket like that back in the early 90s that I wore for job interviews along with a very fetching pink scarf tied in the style of BA cabin crew.

I thought for a moment that the bottom half of the skirt was sheer and that it was quite a racy choice for Kate!

It is very “Flight Attendant”, I agree!

I'm not keen on the shoes or bag, but I'm not a fan of brown.

I think the bag and the shoes are both okay, but I'm not keen on the rest of the outfit.

It reminds me of Diana, too. Here are some similar examples.

I think Kate looks smart and quite unassumingly normal in that blue outfit and although it's a beautiful colour, it is more like a job interview outfit and yes, looks very '90's.
There is so much negative press attention on the RF currently, she may well be trying to convey that message of eyes not on her but the visit/cause.
I love that photo of Diana with pretend long hair. Wow! I never thought she was beautiful/pretty in the traditional sense, but she had star quality and charisma in spades. She always looked incredibly polished and so stylish. Beautiful eyes. She suits those long waves.

Love the colour of Kate's outfit but hate the jacket.

Diana would have really suited long hair. In the photo SirSidney posted the long hair makes her beautiful blue eyes really stand out.
Diana does look a bit Princess Madeleine but my first thought was Kate with a bit of Maxima thrown in.

They always say in relationships you are attracted to the familiar hence resemblances between your spouse/partner & your parents.

Diana has worn almost the same outfit.

I found this image of what Princess Diana could have looked like with long hair. To me she seems almost unrecognisable without her signature short "do".

I'd guess that by replicating one of Diana's outfits, Kate is hoping to remind the public of Diana and her charisma. The RF are under pressure at the moment, so it's all hands on deck.

Kate is doing her bit in her royal blue Zara jacket and Hope skirt, in an attempt to refocus the public on a much loved RF member. Kate is a Grand Master at diplomatic dressing!

I think that intense cobalt shade is super on Kate, and I like the combination of tailored jacket and pleated skirt, though I'll be a lone voice here!

There's been a royal wedding! Kind of. The groom's father is the Duke of Alba but I'm not sure if that's a real title or just a courtesy one these days.

I actually think that is a hideous outfit! Like the shoes. And the mask!

Stunning wedding pic @KillingMeDeftly thanks! The uniform is a work of art and her dress is very pretty. The bridesmaids outfits are lovely too.
They have class that Alba bunch. The last wedding was gorgeous to look at too.

Looking at the wedding photo I was sure it must be an old picture, as I definitely remembered the groom being married in that amazing uniform, but turns out it was his older brother. The family resemblance is very strong!

Great to see some lovely wedding photos!

Here we have Beatrice Borromeo at the Monaco Grand Prix. Even though I can't see the whole outfit I really love the crisp white ensemble. She's so very stylish, imo. Those espadrilles are straight out of Kate's summer playbook!

As an aside, just looking at that link, there is the most beautiful picture of HMQ, Anne and Zara on matching coloured horses, with a blossom tree backdrop. It's fabulous-they look so happy and comfortable in their surroundings and with each other. I'd have any of those horses, each really good looking!

@Serenster I initially thought the same too as I remembered his brother's wedding. I love the uniform - he looks very dashing and like he's about to ride off to the Battle of Waterloo!
