I'm 37 and up until now I've been wearing mine for the past 7 years but totally I had a realisation that they are sioooo popular and not awfully unique so I've taken it off for the foreseeable. Not getting rid of it just putting it away.

So just wondered do ppl here on mn wear one and if so how old are u. Just for fun no judging involved Smile

I wear my two bracelets when I go out. I used to wear them 24/7 but I can't remember why!

Oldraver · 17/04/2021 11:18

I know someone that has different coloured ones depending on what she's wearing and it does look nice. But I just cant get past them being so popular

If you like it them wear them

PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 17/04/2021 11:24

I wear a black leather one with three charms the kids gave me. Can't say I see many of the leather strap ones (but then, I can't say I've seen much of anything for 15 months!).

Do u wear a Pandora bracelet?
PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 17/04/2021 11:24

I'm 46

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 17/04/2021 11:32

I wear two Pandora bracelets and a chunky tiffany bracelet all together. I sometimes have a fleeting thought of woah there's about £2k on my wrist I could get mugged. But I like the look and it's not like I bought them all at once.

xxmyheartxx · 17/04/2021 11:33

I used to wear both of mine until I started my new job last August, I've not put them on since, I'm 36.

idontlikealdi · 17/04/2021 11:35

No. I have an irrational dislike of them. But like all the Tiffany stuff around 20 years ago.

Fruityfriday · 17/04/2021 11:38

I love mine.

TurdCrapley · 17/04/2021 11:39

I have one that I would wear but it gets caught on the hairs so I don't. I need to get a leather one so I can wear my charms again.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 17/04/2021 11:42

No but I wear a Tiffany necklace and a Tiffany engagement ring which seems to be more frowned upon round here.... Wink

Twinkie01 · 17/04/2021 11:54

DH bought me one when they were all the rage. I sent him back to the shop to return it. I think jewellery should be more of a personal thing and not a fashion thing.

FranklinTennessee · 17/04/2021 11:58

You’ve taken it off because they’re popular and not unique. If you like it, wear it.

CrazyHorse · 17/04/2021 12:28

Almost every person
I work with wears one, but I have a Troll bead bracelet instead. There's something about Pandora I don't really like, but I can't put my finger on. Maybe it's just that it's so popular I'm thinking of getting a leather strap and not putting all of the beads/charms on.

Creepygnochi · 17/04/2021 12:31

I don't, but have acquired a few since 2009ish.

Dd21 wears hers a lot, mainly because it's her and my mum's thing. Mum buys her a charm for every event/holiday/birthday.

Mum also wears her own quite often and she's 76, so it's certainly not just a youngin' thing.

arinah · 17/04/2021 12:34

I have the leather one too @PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears :) it was the first gift DH got me when we got together and the only times I've taken it off for a long period is when DCs are at the phase of pulling on the jewellery.

starfishmummy · 17/04/2021 13:04

I prefer Troll too.
Cestlavies · 17/04/2021 18:02

I don’t like the look of them personally. The charms are also very overpriced.

Liskee · 17/04/2021 18:06

I wear mine all the time. Charms are meaningful and people who gave it to me are much loved. It's a very sentimental piece of jewellery. Don't really give a toss about how popular they are, I wear it because of what it means to me...

Tinkling · 17/04/2021 18:07

I have one but i don’t wear it because it’s very clunky and gets in the way. It wouldn’t have been my choice to get one but it was a gift.

user1493413286 · 17/04/2021 18:09

I’m 31 and wear one; the charms have been chosen by different people and have a meaning behind them. It’s a little sad that you’ve decided not to wear it because they’re so popular; so what?

lemonsyellow · 17/04/2021 18:12

No, I don’t have one. I don’t know anyone who has one, or wears one.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 17/04/2021 18:14

I'm late 30s and have 2. I use to wear mine but as they got full it worried me how much I was wearing on my wrist for everyday school runs / supermarket trips etc so I don't wear them all the time anymore.

3CCC · 17/04/2021 18:15

Wear mine when I go somewhere nice / special occasions. But not everywhere

Considering nothing like that has happened for a while

CheerfulBunny · 17/04/2021 18:23

I got a Pandora bangle six months ago for my birthday. I am 47. All my friends have the floppy chain type which I never liked much tbh so I always resisted the trend. But when I noticed they do a bangle and you can style that differently I thought I'd try it and I love it. I don't like the heavy, messy look of loads of charms and I'm not keen on the dangly stuff, it would get on my nerves, all my charms are either clips or quite simple. I don't usually wear more than three and often just one. It's light enough, reasonable quality and I find it comfortable so all good really.

Livinglavidalockdown · 17/04/2021 18:31

I always wear two - one bangle, one chain.
No charms though, the heart clasp is decoration enough.
They were a gift from my children, and having worn them for years they have real sentimental value.
I know they are considered a bit naff, but I like them, which is all that matters really.
