Had hair done - it's too light - here's a pic of my hair how I asked it to be

Hairdresser has offered to tone it down the darker highlights are from a few years ago the lighter is how I had it done yesterday- I asked for it to look like the older picture.
I called up today and asked for them to do it again...

I think the lighter one looks lovely - that is how I want my hair to look when I get it done next week!

SylviaPlath1984 · 16/04/2021 16:04

Lighter is better by a country mile!

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 16/04/2021 16:05

It's lovely!

HousewifeNumber10 · 16/04/2021 16:05

spied I have pale brown hair (very little warm and it lightens quite easily) she used 3x highlights half head - bleach (Aveda version - but still bleach) High lift tint and a dark blonde tint.

The lighter one looks nicer and more modern.

BoodlesPoodle · 16/04/2021 16:06

Lighter is lovely on you

DShrute · 16/04/2021 16:07

Give it a week. You'll have a bit of darker root showing to give it definition, then you'll like it. I think it's lovely.

Nightbear · 16/04/2021 16:07

It’s really nice lighter.

Gonegrey31 · 16/04/2021 16:08

I think it looks fabulous, honestly. Don't change it!

Oneeyeopen · 16/04/2021 16:10

Lighter for summer, warmer tones for winter so perfect imo.

riotlady · 16/04/2021 16:19

I like it much more lighter! It looks lovely

Ohpulltheotherone · 16/04/2021 16:21

It’s really pretty OP, looks very natural and not at all overly processed or bleached.
I really like it!
You could ask for a toner to warm it up but why not give it a week or so, see how you feel. Colour definitely changes after the new few washes

hamandcgeese · 16/04/2021 16:30

It's lovely, just pop some of your usual conditioner on and leave for a few hours then rinse.

Londonbred · 16/04/2021 16:30

It looks great. And I'm quite fussy about colour. I think you need to give it a few days to get used to it!

theemmadilemma · 16/04/2021 16:37

Much prefer the current colour.

FreekStar · 16/04/2021 16:39

@Aquamarine1029 Eh? How can you tell it washes her out when you can't see her face. Stupid comment!

Needingsupportplease · 16/04/2021 16:40

Its alot nicer now IMO..

SusannahSophia · 16/04/2021 16:51

The current colour will hide any greys better. I prefer a warmer tone, myself as I have a warm complexion but the highlights do look nice.

AnnaSW1 · 16/04/2021 16:55

Lighter looks much better to me.. and younger

littlefireseverywhere · 16/04/2021 17:07

I think it looks good lighter

user1592512579 · 16/04/2021 17:08

I like the lighter version too. Nice and fresh for spring. I'd keep it.

JackieWeaver · 16/04/2021 17:11

Its lovely Smile

Pearl97 · 16/04/2021 17:12

I love it as it is!

Londontown12 · 16/04/2021 17:13

Your original picture is actually lovely it’s a warm golden brown !
Your new colour looks nice but the picture U took in I prefer it’s softer and healthier looking I’m not a fan of super light ash hair colours they can make the wrong skin tone look drained ! If u want to go back all she will need to do is tone it down a few shades with the correct tone eg beige or gold x

clopper · 16/04/2021 17:13

Prefer the lighter
