I think you need to be dead to wear them
Sorry 😢

Londontown12 · 15/04/2021 17:47

SelkieIntegrated · 15/04/2021 17:51

You arent old enough yet.

Soontobe60 · 15/04/2021 17:51

They’re fab! But very expensive!!!
These are nicer and half the price. www.drmartens.com/uk/en_gb/p/24830001
I’m your age...

JustSleepAlready · 15/04/2021 17:51

No one is old enough to wear these.

LadyEloise · 15/04/2021 17:52

Ghastly imho.

BusyEvenForBee · 15/04/2021 17:57

They are hideous. No way for me at any age, socks or no socks.

Wallabyone · 15/04/2021 17:59

I don't mind the second pair you've posted.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 15/04/2021 18:00

Fisherman platforms my arse - let's call them what they are: jelly shoes

No, jelly shoes refers to the fact that they are made of PVC (often with glitter in), often in the style of a fisherman's sandal.

OP if you like them, wear them. They are better than the Russell & Bromley ones IMO.

CoconutMaracas · 15/04/2021 18:01

Think espadrilles look nicer then gladiator type shoes

Standrewsschool · 15/04/2021 18:03

sandal trend

In this article on sandal trends for 2921, ‘Fisherman Flats’ are the first style listed. I think we will gradually see them everywhere this year.

I like them, particularly as I don’t like open toed sandals. Think I may add some to my birthday list.

Standrewsschool · 15/04/2021 18:03

But not with socks! That’s going a step too far!

Standrewsschool · 15/04/2021 18:04

2021, not 2921!

afaloren · 15/04/2021 18:05

Mate.

BrilliantBetty · 15/04/2021 18:05

My 65yo mother just bought some! But she is pretty stylish / current re fashion.
They look good on her.

Do you think they'd suit you? (They wouldn't suit me) if so.. go for it

Cissyandflora · 15/04/2021 18:06

I quite like them and they look comfortable. I might consider getting some myself. The dr Martin’s version that someone just posted are unbelievably awful though.

Cissyandflora · 15/04/2021 18:09

I’ve had another look. Actually I just couldn’t wear these even if they are on trend. I’ll stick to my trainers.

I have googled and you are right. I stand corrected.
BIWI · 15/04/2021 18:11

What on earth has your age got to with anything?

Do you like them?
Do they fit?
Can you afford them?

... are the only questions you should be asking yourself

Tehmina23 · 15/04/2021 18:27

I had a brown pair for school when I was a 10 yr old geek in 1986 before my then best friend introduced me to patent shoes & mini skirts & hanging out with older boys...

Anyway. Age is irrelevant. They are fugly.

SwimBaby · 15/04/2021 18:35

I like the Second pair.

Blondiney · 15/04/2021 18:37

@toffeebutterpopcorn

I actually don't think you are old enough...
😂
Alsohuman · 15/04/2021 18:38

The R&B ones in black are better. I’m sure you could find nicer fishermen’s sandals if you looked.

Shrivelled · 15/04/2021 18:49

What the hell is going on with post pandemic fashion. We need colour and fun not a sandal that looks like it belongs in a care home.

Fontofallknowledge2 · 15/04/2021 18:55
