Chunky black sandals

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/04/2021 17:55

Sorry, but I think they are pretty horrid. But if you like them, who cares?!

PickAChew · 11/04/2021 17:58

I like them. I used to wear stuff like that when I was younger and my feet less gnarly.

Superstardjs · 11/04/2021 18:00

Hard no from me.

dudsville · 11/04/2021 18:02

I hate to say it but I think your feet would need to be beautiful, and even then those sandals would only be cool in an ironic way. That being said, they look very comfortable and supportive.

Sexnotgender · 11/04/2021 18:05

No.

Lougirl · 11/04/2021 18:05

I do love a chunky black sandal but I think that Doc sandals are much nicer, have you looked at the website? Can't do link for some reason.

morekidsthanhands · 11/04/2021 18:06

I really like them bet they are super comfy as well. My favourite shoes are my dr marten voss sandals and I suppose they are similar ish.

Notgoingonholiday · 11/04/2021 18:07

I think if you can't decide now, then you'll constantly think about it if you bought them. I thought I would immediately think no, definitely fugly, from your OP, but I can see why you're considering them...that said I wouldn't risk buying them myself for the reason I've stated.

fluffythedragonslayer · 11/04/2021 18:10

I love them! I live in chunky shoes and stompy boots and I would love something like this for summer!!

FreekStar · 11/04/2021 18:12

I think if you are very young- teens or twenties then yes they are trendy- if you are over 30 then no- they will just look ugly!

Changechangychange · 11/04/2021 18:12

Granny shoes. You might get away with them if you were a skinny 16 yr old, and wore them with something very feminine. If you are over 35, not a cat in hell’s chance.

Pheebs2021 · 11/04/2021 18:12

I don't want to like them but I think I do! Conflicting!

Changechangychange · 11/04/2021 18:12

@FreekStar Snap!

thefirstmrsrochester · 11/04/2021 18:14

I think they are fugly and not it a good way but it’s not me buying and wearing them so if you like them then all good. I bet they are the last word in comfort though.

BikeRunSki · 11/04/2021 18:14

No, they are horrible, and I love a fugly, chunky shoe. The DM sandals they are trying to copy are much nicer.DM sandals

pickingdaisies · 11/04/2021 18:16

I like them but I'm too old for them. Like, even older than 30 Grin

SwedishEdith · 11/04/2021 18:21

Ooo, no, I quite like them. On me, they'd look like nun's shoes though. My eldest had the DM version and sold them as they were so uncomfortable. But these...

InFiveMins · 11/04/2021 18:35

I love them but would only buy them if slim and under 30.

MadMadMadamMim · 11/04/2021 18:39

Is there a good way of being fugly?

I mean - those are just fugly! I'm not even that convinced they are comfy, but that's because I think I'd get strap marks with my hot, fat feet. And they would rub.

Lovemusic33 · 11/04/2021 19:13

I love them 😍
I was just looking at some similar that were £96 so I think these are pretty good. I like Chucky sandals, I dress a bit hippy, mainly in harem trousers or dungarees so these are the sort of thing I would wear.

MistyMinge2 · 11/04/2021 19:48

I think they're absolutely fugly, but each to their own.

anyoldtime · 11/04/2021 19:50

No. I think you’d have to have the prettiest, tanned, dainty feet in the world to pull these off and even then you’d need to be excessively cool to even try it. It’s a no from me.

DoingItMyself · 11/04/2021 19:51

I love them, I'd wear them.
Be afraid. I'm over sixty...

Derrymum123 · 11/04/2021 20:01

Lovely. Rather like Doc Marten sandals.

PresentingPercy · 11/04/2021 20:10

Prada are doing chunky ones like this. But more stylish! I would try and find ones that copy Prada. There will be copies somewhere.
