Loving them more each time I see them! I can't see that they look cheap - at least they are leather.

I think if you have beautiful feet & legs & are a bit stylish then buy them - they'll be SO comfortable.

But 52, shirt, overweight, not stylish & HATE sandals, I'll give them a miss 😂

GeidiPrimes · 12/04/2021 10:42

Those sandals are the only pair of sketchers I've ever liked 😂

Other Stories and Russell + Bromley have similar pairs, both really nice. I just ordered some (fugly) orange fisherman sandals from White Stuff.

Stumpedasatree · 12/04/2021 10:48

Oh @GeidiPrimes, the White Stuff ones are quite nice too, not as chugly

lovevlyt · 12/04/2021 12:05

I think they're lovely - and are not for under 3@ at all I don't understand some posters comments with that - they're flat comfy shoes age should not come into it IMO

GarnOut · 12/04/2021 13:11

lovelyt. I agree. I’m in my 60s and would wear them if they suited me.

GeidiPrimes · 12/04/2021 13:16

I do like the ugly sandals, but I think they look better in a colour, or white. Then again, I only have one pair of black shoes.

Letsrunabath · 12/04/2021 13:18

Great if you are under 25.

lovevlyt · 12/04/2021 13:24

@GarnOut it's weird isn't it how people put such harsh age restrictions on what effectively are just a pair of sandals?

I'd understand if it was a Billie Eillish t short or something but we really are sometimes our own worst enemy putting ourselves into so many boxes!!

whitehat · 12/04/2021 13:30

Great if you like to channel Ruprecht in your daily style.

Lovemusic33 · 12/04/2021 13:34
@Lovemusic33 did you find the Teva ones sizing frustrating? I'm usually a 6 and my toes but just on the border but when I sized up they felt loose. Felt like they should have made a 6.5
Yes, I have bought the same ones, I’m a 5 but my toes are very close to the end so I probably should have sized up. To be fair when I buy most shoes I go for half sizes but teva don’t seem to do half sizes 😭, they are comfy though, I often end up buying several pairs a sandals a year before finding comfortable ones.

They do them in white too.

I think I must be the only one who thinks the DM sandals look naff AF :/ That's coming from someone who has worn chunky boots, shoes and trainers since the age of 14!

I think these look much nicer than the DM ones, there is something about the straps just going across the foot, like the are held on with duct tape, that looks naff. I much prefer ones with crossed straps. There is a gorgeous pair on the Toast website at the moment but at £165 were a bit out my price range.

CirqueDeMorgue · 12/04/2021 13:53

Love them, definitely not 'granny shoes!' 😂

LivingDeadGirlUK · 12/04/2021 13:56

Saying that, I was watching one of those 'omg what did we wear in the 2000s' videos on Youtube yesterday and it made me think that todays chunky sandal will become yesterdays gladiator sandal :)

BobbidyBob · 12/04/2021 14:11

Oh god. No, they’re fugly in a fugly way Envy

Kenshi · 12/04/2021 14:25

They remind me a bit of Dr Martens I wouldn't have thought they were by sketchers. They're probably comfy considering the brand. I think they're OK, but might be hard to make them work with a variety of outfits. They're quite a bold colour and shape.

Nope. I agree with you. I don't do high street style though.

lovevlyt · 12/04/2021 16:00

I agree the DM ones don't look great on

MapleMay11 · 12/04/2021 16:02

Prada are doing chunky ones like this. But more stylish! I would try and find ones that copy Prada. There will be copies somewhere.

Give me Prada any day. The best ones were all last season though IMO.

Snackz · 12/04/2021 16:10

@Lovemusic33

I bought the DM sandals and they were awful, made my feet hurt so I chucked them on eBay, sketchers are more comfortable. I used to love DM’s but the quality isn’t there anymore and the price is much higher.
@Lovemusic33 Avid Dr Martens fan here and have been for many years. The quality nowadays is SHOCKINGAngry and it annoys me that the price has gone up because people who wouldn't be seen dead in DMs a few years ago are now wearing them because that's the trend Hmm I only ever buy in the sale now Smile
