How long has everyone got to go before their hairdressers appointment?

Mine is on the 1st May as my hairdresser was very fair and phoned everyone in the order they had their previous appointments booked in. My hair is atrocious but I keep telling myself 3 more weeks!

I would quite like a change of style as so much of it feel out due to lockdown stress last year so I'm telling myself 3 weeks of extra hair growth gives them a bit more to play with. When are your appointments and what are you having done?

Mines the 20th and I CANNOT wait.. I look like Hagrid,

My hair grows so fast (not length wise, just in thickness) so last time (about 8/9 months) he couldn't even get the thinning scissors through it

nearlynermal · 11/04/2021 15:27

26 April. I'm mulling something more dramatic than usual...

BigusBumus · 11/04/2021 15:27

Mine is at 9am tomorrow morning.

I was first on her extremely busy list in a very busy popular town centre salon and she called me specially. I felt hugely honoured and shocked and amazed!!

I'm taking her some flowers and some lovely biscuits as a thank you.

DramaAlpaca · 11/04/2021 15:28

God only knows. I'm so envious of you all with your appointments. I'm in Ireland and there's no sign of hairdressers being allowed to open here anytime soon.

EternalOptimist7 · 11/04/2021 15:30

This Friday - can’t wait! My fringe is driving me nuts! Having an eyebrow/chin/ tache wax beforehand

Littlefluffyclouds13 · 11/04/2021 15:31

I haven't had mine cut for nearly 2 years Confused My hairdresser has moved abroad and he was the only one who ever cut my hair the way I wanted it!
Have a nail appointment tomorrow though, cannot wait!!!

Howyoualldoworkme · 11/04/2021 15:34

20th April. I have a straight bob so it's just grown longer so I'll have a couple of inches cut off and the lines sharpened. I've managed my own fringe more or less but it'll be great to get it done properly.
And on the 23rd I'm booked in for a microderm facial and threading so I'll look less like a Yeti.
I've not been so cheery about anything for ages.
Although that probably makes me very shallow Grin

My hairdresser opened yesterday Shock so I sneaked in yesterday and got my cut and colour and feel a million £.

polexiaaphrodesia · 11/04/2021 15:44

I'm mainly looking forward to 3 hours of time without the DC (5 and 2) demanding snacks, entertainment, refereeing squabbles etc. In fact I may tell DH that because of Covid its going to take twice as long as usual and then bugger off into town for a browse round the shops afterwards..

Very jealous of anyone talking in hours rather than weeks!

Yesterday. I'm in Wales so they've been open for a few weeks, but I only got an appointment yesterday as they went through in the order of cancellations.

I have a pixie cut again for the first time in a year and it feels amazing.

Woodlandbelle · 11/04/2021 15:47

We have no date here and not in the UK. Luckily I have no colour in my hair and I can cut my fridge/ends fairy evenly.
But I would love to go to treat myself.

Antiqueanniesmagiclanternshow · 11/04/2021 15:55

Wednesday! Cannot WAIT!

marmiteloversunite · 11/04/2021 16:05

23 hours! Yay!!! So looking forward to it!

ShaunaTheSheep · 11/04/2021 16:06

72 hours!
Grown out choppy bob. Colour is fine as I grew out my grey silver 2 years ago.
Will entrust my hairdresser to deliver a sharp cut, as there's plenty to work with Smile

Amelia666 · 11/04/2021 16:09

April 24th colour, May 4th cut - cannot wait!!!!

Had to split my usual session over two dates to get the colour sorted ASAP

JaceLancs · 11/04/2021 16:12

I never go to the hairdressers. The only things I get done are my eyebrows and nails done once a fortnight (obviously not during the 3 lockdowns).
I get my eyebrows waxed which makes them look so much better. In the lockdowns I've been plucking stray hairs and pretending I know what I'm actually doing with them (I don't at all). End up ruining the perfect shape my amazing lady finally helped me achieve.
And I get my acrylic nails done. I know most people on here especially hate them, and they hate long ones even more. But I love them. For me they have to be long, about an inch from the free edge, or the end of my finger. When I get a new set applied I don't get the tips cut at all, and every infill I never get the length shortened, so they get longer as they grow. And always nice colours with designs and glitter. During the lockdowns I just leave them on. They obviously grow out but they last without breaking and have minimal lifting. (They lasted 15-16 weeks in the 1st one. 6 weeks in the 2nd one. And this time they will be 16 weeks old this coming Wednesday). For me the longer the better so I love them. I'm not me without them.
My appointment is booked for Thursday 15th (my lady does Thursday and Friday in the salon so I usually go on Thursday morning). She contacted me to arrange it. I can't wait. Need to soak my old ones off ASAP though, I'm doing it myself as I have the stuff and by the time I cut them there will be hardly any acrylic to come off anyway because of how outgrown they are.

29th April and my last visit was in November.

Thank God for woolly bobble hats......

Kenworthington · 11/04/2021 16:14

Just over a month. My hairdresser is going to go batshit at me. I’ve bleached The whole lot white

Cushionsnotpillows · 11/04/2021 16:14

I had mine done last week (Scotland, opened on the 5th) and it felt amazing!!!

ilovecarbs90 · 11/04/2021 16:15

I have one next week, thank god.

PinkBuffalo · 11/04/2021 16:16

20th April! I cannot wait I have very short hair and it is driving me mad growing like this

Christinayangtwistedsister · 11/04/2021 16:19

I've had mine done today and I feel so much better for it. I got a good three inches off and it's looks healthier

millerpie · 11/04/2021 16:21

26th of April, brows and lashes on the 22nd....just need to remember how to dress for being out in public rather than comfy baggy home clothes.
