I said before my usual style is maxi dress/skirt clumpy boots or flatform sandals so if i got one i think it would be clumpy flatform sandals
I am not young. Over 50

I like the colour of the second in the style of the first. Which doesn’t really help you at all. When is the wedding? The second is more summer I would say

waltzingparrot · 05/03/2021 13:30

2nd one is perfect for a wedding

Lyricallie · 05/03/2021 13:31

Depends when the wedding is. But I definitely like the green one more.

TwoBreakingIntoOne · 05/03/2021 13:32

September, covid permitting, so the weather could go either way but its all indoors so no moving from one venue to another

Second one is lovely! Would definitely go for that one!

UnwantedOpinionBelow · 05/03/2021 13:44

The green one is lovely

chipsandpeas · 05/03/2021 13:46

the 2nd is lovely i bought it a few years back for a wedding and had to send it back cos im short and a bit chubby it didnt sit right on me

Thinkle · 05/03/2021 14:03

Going against the flow here...
I like the first one, IMO it is more stylish and would look like a deliberate style statement with flatform sandals. It’s also the type of cut that forgives a large meal and some bubbles and will therefore be more comfortable and fun.
I’ll be honest though, I don’t like the green one because it looks too “weddingy”

Unicant · 05/03/2021 14:08

I think the second one is more weddingy... weddings are happy occasions for bright colours! And formal but not too glam or sexy.
So the green one is perfect. Its quite formal but still happy and bright.
I think the other one is a bit too evening gown like.. very pretty but not appropriate for a wedding

idontlikealdi · 05/03/2021 14:13

Second definitely

rbe78 · 05/03/2021 14:18

Second one - love the first, but not for a wedding. Only thing with the green one is it might be hard to find a cover-up to go with it (cardi, jacket etc), which you will probably need for a September wedding.

Bimblybomeyelash · 05/03/2021 14:18

2nd is much nicer for a wedding.

AlrightTreacle · 05/03/2021 14:19

Definitely not the first one; it's a nice dress, but the style is a bit bridesmaidish and the colour is wrong for a wedding.

The second one is lovely though.

Oly4 · 05/03/2021 14:20

The second green one, it’s lovely

HavfrueDenizKisi · 05/03/2021 14:22

Second one absolutely.

Poppins2016 · 05/03/2021 14:24

@AlrightTreacle

Definitely not the first one; it's a nice dress, but the style is a bit bridesmaidish and the colour is wrong for a wedding.

The second one is lovely though.

I agree with this, unless the dress code is black tie/eveningwear.

I'd go for the second dress!

TwoBreakingIntoOne · 05/03/2021 15:21

I'm not sure about the frill bit on the green. I do love green but I don't love frills

Dress two

Thinkle · 05/03/2021 15:30

I know I am the lone voice saying option one, but if it fits your natural style and you know you will be more comfortable in it then I think it’s absolutely appropriate to wear it. It’s not a white dress and it’s it’s not jeans and a t-shirt so it is not “wrong” for a wedding. It’s also not attention seeking in its alternative-ness . It’s a balanced decision between wearing the “wedding look” and being comfortable and yourself. Between the two I would opt for option one every time.

OhTheTastyNuts · 05/03/2021 16:07

Much prefer option 1. Especially for late summer/early autumn. The green dress is a bit meh.

lydia2021 · 05/03/2021 16:31

Green one is you are guest. White ish all in one if you are bride

theotherfossilsister · 05/03/2021 16:56

The first one is stunning.

Tartyflette · 05/03/2021 17:02

I think it also depends on your colouring, OP.
Emerald Green is not easy to wear if you're pale (unless you're a redhead) .
It looks good with darker/tanned/olive skins IMO.

Janetatone · 05/03/2021 17:09

I love the green dress. I'm going to order it right now 😁

TwoBreakingIntoOne · 05/03/2021 17:11

Say I did get the first one what colour would you put with it?
It doesn't look white, the spotty bits are shimmer stuff
