Used up John Frieda blue conditioner purchased in error. (Meant to buy the shampoo.) Not my thing. Too siliconey for me. Fortunately DH liked it and is ham-fisted so it didn’t last long. Don’t think it deposits colour at all. The shampoo is fine alone.
I have finished some GWP mini Nars Afterglow lip balm/sheer lip tints thingies in Orgasm/Dolce Vita & Torrid. We all know my feelings on Nars giving their products tacky names.... These are actually fabulous if you are dry of lip, but want a stain left behind. I have the full-size Laguna one which is my favourite. They have another which is similar to the old Clinique Black Honey, which I think I would purchase next if I hadn’t put myself on a strict no buy...
Which I have already broken.
Hada Labo-owned sunscreen and their newer Premium Hyaluronic (2020 - updated to 7 weights instead of five) formulation due to arrive today, but they ARE replacing empties... Finished Hada Labo Premium Alpha formulation (dark blue). This was my third bottle. Love it. Has made a huge difference to pigmentation and redness. It’s winter (sort of) here and I am a sunscreen junkie, so will try going without. Will repurchase in summer though. Sunscreen is Rohto Mentholatum pump 140ml pump pack 50++++ moisturizing formula. I haven’t tried this version but it has great reviews.

VanGoghsDog · 04/06/2021 09:03

I have, at last, finished NIOD saccharin spray thing. Liked this but I have loads of mist toners, also the bottle is really big so it's made a nice space to get rid of it.

And, bonus, a lady in my village sells things on eBay is always looking for small boxes and she will be able to reuse the box.

Experiment627 · 04/06/2021 10:36

Some empties to report:

  • Superdrug Vitamin C radiant oil cleanser: I liked this although not as much as the No7 one that has been discontinued 😭😭😭
  • Sanex dermo protector stick deodorant: this has worked well as a back-up but don't think it can handle my summer sweat situation

Quite a few empties this week.
Venn Age reversing concentrate - I love this, already got another one.
Clinique repairwear uplifting - this is a HG product for me, I use it every morning and night on my neck.
Herbivore prism facial - great mask but don't use for more than 10 mins.
Nuxe SPF50 for face - way too thick and greasy for use on the face, I used it on my neck and chest.

PomRuns · 05/06/2021 11:29

@laselvar was the mask irritating?

laselvar · 05/06/2021 11:38

Pomrus - it wasn't irritating, I just found it left my skin very pink if I left in on too long. I think it said to leave it on Friday 10 mins max. I tend to put a face mask mask on when I pop in the bath, and don't pay too much attention to how long it is on for.
I did like mask, left my skin lovely and smooth.

PomRuns · 05/06/2021 15:48

Ah thank you - I’ve the same product - will give it a try in the week.

CommanderBurnham · 06/06/2021 21:58

A few empties again:

4 samolensachets of pharmaceris creams. A no nonsense pharmacy brand with loads of products. Boring but nice.

Molton brown travel body lotion

Finished the last of ZO cleanse wipes and Olay daily facials.

Been away this weekend so I'm ploughing through the travel minis.

I'm finding my skin is reacting to the heat and sunshine too so I'll be using lots of soothing products.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/06/2021 09:46

BodyShop ginger shampoo+conditioner
HG in our house (DD and I use both , DH and DS use just the shampoo)

I have new ones on the shelf now .

Experiment627 · 07/06/2021 11:50

Here is what I have to report:

  • Simple protecting light moisturiser: I think this was recommended on this thread - was fine but did leak into my mouth... but it is rare I find a day cream that does not. It is lightweight, sinks in fast and did not seem to bother make-up.
  • The Body Shop skin defence SPF 50: this is HG for me BUT this tube of it is SO old and I just don't feel using it anymore so I am chucking even though it is not empty Shock Shock Shock

VanGoghsDog · 07/06/2021 11:56

I have more coming in than going out still!

I got the M&S beauty bag (love it all!), bought a mascara (though threw away three which had all turned to "one lump or two", I barely wear make up but went to pop some mascara on last week and looked ridiculous, I need a one use mascara in a weeny tube since I honestly only use it once or twice a year then it gets so old I have to chuck it, there are probably more hanging around that need chucking), a face mask, some eye masks, tanning drops and a new nail varnish.

I have one thing which might finish this week.

Caggie09 · 07/06/2021 19:03

Only 3 empties, rest is declutters. I usually dont like to just get rid of products, but im finding it much easier now.

Declutters:
-DE Retinol cream. Had this for 2 years and its been opened. Pretty sure this will be off by now.
-It Cosmetics CC cream. Ahh, really wanted to love it. Its just nit the right shade for me, despite it being light. May look at trying a lighter shade.
-Garnier heat protection milk. Ive went through 2/3 bottles of this. Cant bring myself to use it again

Empties.

  • Garnier moisture bomb sheet mask. For a cheap sheet mask, they are pretty decent. Not a patch on 111Skin, but good. Would RP.
  • Sunday Riley CEO Glow oil. Nothing wrong with the product. Just not what im looking for from an oil. Would prefer something a little more hydrating. Its an oil, your going to get a "glow" anyway. If you were using it AM, it would probably benefit you more! Wouldnt RP, But id use it again.
  • Milk Kush Mascara. Wow, i loved this. A chunky wand, but didnt give me awful clumpy lashes. A fluffy lash look, but not unnatural. Im considering repurchasing in the future👀

My M&S beauty box arrived today. I love new pretty things!

I have never used so much beauty stuff but don’t seem to be getting through the stash at all. It doesn’t help that I keep bringing in new items.

clary · 07/06/2021 21:18

two more empties - Nux Huile Prodigeuse - I like the smell but it made my hair very greasy so I used it up in my face,.
Elemis Rose cleanser - love this but I found the fragrance diminished as I worked my way through it - anyone else find this? Might RP a smaller pot.

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 08/06/2021 08:28

There was Nux huile in the M&S beauty box - I’m not sure how to use it. Any tips?

Justilou1 · 08/06/2021 10:50

@SlatternIsMyMiddleName - Nuxe is divine on damp legs straight after a shower: Also highlights nicely (fake, of course) bronzed skin, esp. shoulders, arms, legs, cheekbones in the summer. Yes, you can rub it on your paws and use the rest on your ends in your hair, but probably only if you have very thick, course hair. Mine is fine, like cat hair - instant greaseball. Personally, I find it’s too greasy to moisturize my whole body. I wouldn’t use it on my face. Great for cuticles and feet. It’s actually a highly perfumed blend of quite cheap carrier oils, so I don’t think it’s all that and a bag of chips, tbh… The lip balm is fabulous, though. (Not nearly as fabulous as Laneige and MUCH more expensive. Also harder to work with. Actually, it works differently, being an occlusive, not hydrating anyway - It’s a no-brainer, really.)

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 08/06/2021 21:44

Thanks for the info @Justilou1

Ponks · 08/06/2021 23:23

A few cleansers finished:

  • Farmacy Clean Bee gel cleanser, trial size which lasted ages as you only need a tiny amount. Used as a morning cleanse or 2nd cleanse. Worked well but not so keen on the smell- I like honey but not this version. Won't RP.
  • however the Lancôme Miel en Mousse gel cleanser is my absolute favourite, love this particular honey smell, love the consistency and feel as I massage it in ... can you tell I like it? Definite repurchase.
  • Pai oil cleanser ( travel size). Good oil cleanser, works well, but prefer Superfacialist so won't RP, but would be happy to get in a beauty box etc.
Caggie09 · 09/06/2021 17:44

▪︎Tan Luxe Super Glow is an empty. Fell in love with this stuff in an instant! Im not someone that uses tan, but im deathly pale. Im the first to admit i look better with abit of colour to me. Not like the usual tan, just pop the serum on under my body lotion and awaken in the morning with a lovely glow. I look so much more healthier with it on. No streaks and makes me feel better about myself! I usually use 1- 2 times a week depening how glowy i eant to be. Have 4 in stash, thats how much i 🧡 it!

The other bits are purchases. TKMaxx is my down fall. I gad no intention of purchasing anything else this month, but they got me. Ive wanted a face hair remover for a while, saves me plucking my tache! Enjoying using the Cosrx snail mucin essence, so picked some snail eye gels up. The packaging on the sheet masks drew me in, but you can beat a sheet mask. Im off to remove hair nowGrin

Nad's Sugaring Kit

I'd had it a while and had to give it a good stir but I managed one last treatment on my Yeti-esque armpits .
Hair growth is quite fine ... and grey so I didn't realise how long it had got Blush

I epilate my legs but I cannot bring myself to epilate my pits .

LivingDeadGirlUK · 12/06/2021 07:15

I've finished the WoW colour shampoo from last years M&S summer bag. I know people rave about it but it was just ok tbh.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 12/06/2021 07:23

@Experiment627 the Simple used to be my HG but I used it again after some more high end brands and it made me break out and felt horrible. You lot have given me expensive taste :p

I now love the M&S Pure day cream.

Ponks · 12/06/2021 09:12

Finished a small trial pot of Sunday Riley Ice moisturiser.. wow I love it. Yes it's a bit like putting lard on your face but so thick and soothing, great overnight. Would love to RP but it is £££. I can envisage me buying many many cheaper moisturisers to try to replicate it, when perhaps I should just bite the bullet.

Also finished Boots No7 spf30, very nice moisturising spf,

Caggie09 · 12/06/2021 09:27

@Ponks Sunday Riley Ice is my HG! I have two full pots in my stash. Its so worth the money! My skin look so dreamy when i use it!
