Following on from our previous thread, here is a shiny new one to see us through Spring / Summer and maybe beyond!

Afternoon.... Look number 2 is my favourite. I’d like to see a lighter blue jean or trouser I think than number 3... it seems to have a paler blue grey in it. I do love Kimonos though ..... love them.

@StCharlotte I love that kimono. I've got a Paris map dressing gown but it's somehow 'greener' in tone than yours.
Anyway, I also really like it with the white cropped trousers, but you look great in all 3.

I don’t have my summer wardrobe out so no sandals for me. I started out quite badly today and got a bit demoralised seeing myself in my photos. I ended up choosing a cream pleated skirt from Monki that I intended to send back but didn’t. I know I’ve ended up with all black and white but I tried on a gazillion combinations and I gravitated to these looks so here we are. I could have continued with other jacket shoe combinations ( I have a leather blazer) but I’m stopped at just the three 😉

Look 1. M&S T shirt. Black vintage Adidas tracksuit top and Vans

Look 2. Cos top. Leather biker Topshop and brogue boots by Boden

Look 3 Different long sleeved top by Cos. Oversized blazer by Arket ( but getting too oversized now sadly). Dad trainers by Nike.

I also tried this look with the boots and loved that too.

These are all in my comfort zone but I really liked Look 1 because I never wear that Adidas top and I surprised myself how much I liked it.

@Divebar2021 that's a beautiful skirt. I love all of your looks today but I think my favourite it with the blazer and trainers. I like the oversized blazer with the lovely floaty skirt.

I love that skirt @Divebar2021 and I think you posted it with an oversize sweatshirt before? I remember I sat up and thought ooh! That works brilliantly - before remembering I have neither a pleated skirt nor an oversized sweatshirt. Dammit!

@Divebar2021 that skirt is lovely and I like all the looks. I have a pleated skirt and struggle to style it as I think it makes my hips look bigger, but the longer line oversize look is good. I will try that. I love watching this.

Thanks for the nice comments. I have to say I’m finding the three way challenge really useful are you? I started off trying with a faux leather pencil skirt (#ambitious) which I couldn’t get to look right and then my DD took a couple of photos of me looking horrendous. But actually once I started with the pleated skirt I found my groove. ( which is good I have 3 others )

I met with a very stylish friend on Friday and I always talk to her about this thread. The reason I participate is not because I think I’m super stylish but because I want plus size women to be seen. When I went from a size 16 to 18 I found lots of brands no longer catered to me. I understand they don’t want their brands associated with plus size and that really resonated with me. It’s not a great message. In addition It’s a really supportive environment here and I feel ok experimenting without judgement. I hope everyone else feels the same?

Absolutely feel the same @Divebar2021. That's why I loved the previous threads so much and wanted them back; it's having plus size women be seen!

I am going to join in the challenge! Just still haven't decided what to do. I'm questioning a lot of stuff in my wardrobe at the moment. I don't think I'm the shape I thought I was...or used to be, so think I've been wearing some things which aren't right! Eg tunic dress; that would suit an apple I think? A shorter apple as well maybe, as the waist sits on the wrong bit on me? Ditto very skinny jeans, like jeggings. They aren't doing my hips any favours!

Anyway, I'll be back later with style challenge pics!

Right, the item: the not-goth boots! They are Clark's Witcombe, black, leather, lace-up boots and black Snags.

They came out muddled up last week, but I have styled them with a Seasalt dress, a Hobbs stripy, linen mix skirt (scuse wrinkles...linen) and a black top from H&M, and a green dress from Hush and a black denim jacket buttoned up.

@Divebar2021 I love seeing women of all shapes and sizes looking great and feeling confident to experiment with clothes on this thread. I've been lurking for ages and it's been a real inspiration to me.
@ParisJeTAime they are awesome boots. All three are lovely, I think I like the Hush one most.

I had great intentions of joining in the challenge - but Saturdays are a vey busy day for me work wise. I also looked at the mess that is my wardrobe and got a bit defeated by it. It's time for a clear out.

I love this thread, it’s giving me tiny glimmers of self esteem, I like seeing other women look great, and sometimes when they look ,not so great to me, I can see that they are doing things I do, playing too safe, wearing dark colours etc. It’s also really interesting that people with different shapes dont always recognise their assets. I love big bums and swaying hips, they are the essence of femininity to me. Hate my big belly and bosoms and totally discount my legs, I’ve always thought of them as average and meh.
@ParisJeTAime Thanks so much for the thread, it does feel like a welcoming and positive place and you set that tome. I love your striped skirt with the black top. . I love the Temperley dress, and I like the Seasalt dress. I’m struggling with the Hush dress because I love handekerchief hems and I have just trained myself out of them , too fey etc, when really it’s because I read somewhere that they aren’t fashionable, and suddenly they are everywhere again, and I do like them. Can’t keep up. Those boots are a joy. My slightly goth but John Lewis ffs are going back, the wrong height, and I’m not ready to try again with tights.
Might try the challenge later, wearing my informal uniform of Hush harems, and grey jumper, atm. V.dull

Jules dark green blazer, size 18, brand new with tags, bought in the sale, never worn as its actually out of my very narrow comfort zone (I wear coats for weather protection only really, if its warm enough and not raining I wear a cardigan or jumper or just a t shirt or shirt - haven't actually worn a blazer out since school!)

Pictures are my new trusty favourite 501s (I really need another pair!) size 32 inch, with white Next trainers and a george at Asda black turtleneck size 18. Necklace from etsy.

Next boot cut jeans size 15, Next black t shirt size 18, boots.

Zizzi XL tunic/ dress (I used to wear this as a top before losing weight - not sure whether it works as a dress at all) Tschibo tights, grey trainers I found lurking - no idea if they're even mine but DD denies all knowledge of them...

I agree with everyone saying how helpful and supportive the thread is. It definitely encourages me to experiment - I really only wear jeans and a t shirt/ jumper with trainers 99% of the time! I'm getting lots of new ideas.
Divebar I agree with everyone about your floaty skiet outfits - you really seem to know how to put outfits together, which is a skill I've never really honed - the inspiration is great!
Paris I like the not-goth boots with the Alice Temperly dress best.

My goodness everyone is interupting me constantly - its fine for them to play on their Switchs and phones but the second I do they need my attention...
