Nice. I'm a Mayari girl myself. Current pair are hot pink. We had our own business for about a decade and I was on my feet all day every day so I went through a pair most years. I've had so many colours and a couple of floral pairs. Now I'm an office bunny again this pair have lasted six years so far..

I am disappointed with my Gliesswein sneakers as they just aren't comfortable when I'm on my feet in them all day - I really wanted them to be "the" shoes, but they should be worn in by now and yet they actually seem less comfortable The foot-bed is comfortable and they don't rub, and the left foot is in fact completely fine, but the right presses on my toes increasingly through the day, so that when I wore them on a ten and a half hour shift I was properly in pain by the end To start with I liked them and just thought they needed afew wears, but the long wear was after wearing them for a few hours eight or nine times - they should have been fine. I thought bring wool they'd shape to my feet more, as they seemed a fairly good fit at first and didn't need to give much! hmm...

Unfortunately I definitely can't wear Birkenstocks to work - closed shoes are one of the very few clothing rules - in fact maybe the only one except no jewelry except for a wedding ring...

That's annoying until! I also haven't been bowled over by the Giessweins. They're fine and I'll keep them. I love that they're machine washable and I wear them without socks and they aren't smelly at all, so I love that too. But they aren't the most comfortable shoes. I think I probably should have gone with a slightly bigger size tbh.

Having had my longer (i.e. worn over leggings) boots all give up the ghost at the same time, I'm struggling with footwear in this weather. I'm desperate to wear my new "trainers" as they'll go with so much but (a) they're light coloured and (b) they're suede so they're staying safe in their box. Boo.

I have got ankle boots so I guess I could wear a dress with tights. Will report back if I'm inspired.

We need the weather to brighten up so we can see everyone's spring/summer clothes. NOW!

I'm very excited as my best friend is coming to stay this weekend. I can't wait to see her for the first time in nearly a year. Our plans include a trip to a local posh-frock shop (I have a voucher) to look for an outfit for my niece's wedding.

I hope not because I need some help. I've found the posh frock for the wedding. I have all the accessories and some smoothing underwear which works wonders. But I think tights would create a line around the waist so I'm thinking of hold-ups. I've only tried them once before and they nearly cut my circulation off.

Can anyone recommend any that are generous around the thigh but aren't for giants?

Oh @StCharlotte. I’ve often worn holdups because I hate tights, but they are very hit and miss, either cut off circulation or fall down. The ones that worked best were Wolford , but I don’t carry much weight on my thighs. It is the kind of thing that can ruin a wedding guest experience. I would suggest tights under underwear or fake tan on the legs..
I am going to a wedding in 5 weeks and have started to experiment with fake tan. It’s learning to have a very light touch on the bony bits... but of course you may know that, I didn’t!

It's actually surpringly comfortable and not hard to put on but it really does the trick and I go from an apple to an hourglass. Trick being the operative word

I rushed upstairs to check if it had detachable suspenders but it doesn't. Boo. I've ordered some hold ups from M&S but I had also thought about fake tan. Haven't used it since the 80s when I went out in the rain with "hilarious consequences"! I've heard good things about the Dove one so will give that a go.

I'm wearing a grey and white striped t shirt dress from Primark, when I got home I realised I have 4 of these in different colours from different shops, a lapis lazuli necklace plus wedges from Pavers , now in their third year and going strong. They get 5 star reviews and you can still buy them. I'm going out later and I'm going to wear my black red and white blazer from grass-fields .

@Zebracat I bought some holds up from M&S. Seem to be okay but I will test them out at work before I risk them for an all day wedding.

Hi all. How is everyone?

Can we please have some hot weather style inspiration? I seem to have 'thickened' again since Christmas and have been having ruthless clear out of summer clothes which just don't look good any more. This has left the summer cupboard a bit bare.

Today is a floaty (shapeless) shift dress over some denim shorts. V comfy.

This was a great thread, I really lost my mojo over the first half of this year. I got very very busy at work and tbh it wasn't leaving me in the best health. Clothes were whatever I threw on and I've only got a few things that fit due to weight gain.

Im the same with weight gain tbh, I'd say I'm up to an 18 now and I feel less than confident. I bought a couple of dresses and a really nice jumpsuit Andy in staying in Saturday, my first time out in forever.

I bought a few black jumpsuits just for lounging round the house. I got one, then realised how comfy it was (and how quickly I ruin its cleanness by making sourdough 😂) so I bought two more exactly the same 🤭

They're one size and fits me at size 18. I wouldn't have bought them if it wasn't for a thread on here where I got lots of help from lovely posters. I'll put the link up.
