I just wondered if anyone would be interested in discussing the beauty gifts with purchase/offers which come about on Cult Beauty, Space NK and the like every few months. I loved the advent calendar threads and thought this might be similar. If there's already a threat on this apologies & I'd appreciate the link! As you can tell I'm a little addicted and find them hard to resist and would love to compare with like minded pp. We could even do swaps if pp want.
I just cracked and bought the recent Cult Beauty 'Self Care' goodie bag - couldn't resist the name as I'm in desperate need of some self care after a rough few months (isn't everyone?!). I haven't opened it yet as haven't had the time with a 6 month old - but can't wait to have a peak. I also forgot what I bought for the £170 required purchase. But think I snuck in a few bit of makeup which isn't like me as I stick to my favourite makeup and usually just buy skincare and body stuff. Anyone else purchase it? What did you think? Be great to get notifications when other sites/retailers have good offers to!

I just added some things to my bag on FU (skincare) and automatically a "beauty bundle" was added for an £80 spend. Doesn't look like make up but I can't really see it

BunnytheFriendlyDragon · 15/09/2021 11:20

Ignore me I'm on LF!

Babysharkdoodoodood · 16/09/2021 13:14

I needed some travel sizes as I'm off for 10 days at the end of the month and also had a 20% off voucher from FU. So had a wee splurge and got the gift. Used the beauty pick & mix to get loads of shampoo/conditioner sachets.

Hopefully JK advent will still be in stock when I return

Giftwithpurchase · 17/09/2021 08:53

Morning all - just posted about the Penhaligons game on the advent thread by mistake 🤦‍♀️ .. looks fun!

For those who like Mugler fragrances, Lookfantastic have 20% off nearly every Mugler perfume bar the new Alien Goddess.

I've just ordered one of DD's Christmas gifts 'Angel Nova' for £42.40 instead of £53.

Plus if you use the code REVEAL you can also get 20% of some other things.
I got (another DD Xmas gift)
Nars Iconic Mini Glow set for £26.40 instead of £33

Yep, I'm going to Ibiza!

And I've already splurged £80 each on the stupid tests that we don't need to take now!

I’ve been really disappointed with the past couple of Liberty GWP’s. They used to be fabulous with diptyque candles, byredo / Frederick Malle perfumes etc. They seemed to have really cut back on them now. I notice the last one took a very long time to sell out, it used to in a day. I’ve had some good cult beauty ones this year - the august one was great and the Skindie free gift earlier in the summer. I hope Liberty returns to form, always used to get quite giddy about its arrival! The Cult hair repair edit was a great buy too.

MarbleRunaway · 19/09/2021 18:13

Following this thread as I always miss out on these. Tempted by the Liberty one but it’s just not quite enough to make it worth it for me.

I ordered the August CB GWP in a bit of a rush and regretted it immediately after but when it turned up I was actually really impressed and so glad I got it!
LizzieMacQueen · 23/09/2021 10:48

Cult Beauty have a GWP on hair products spend. Spend £ 70. Gift is worth £85.

Giftwithpurchase · 23/09/2021 11:20

@LizzieMacQueen I actually think the hair kit looks really good - don't need any hair products tho annoyingly!

MotherofTerriers · 24/09/2021 08:58

That’s interesting I can’t see the hair kit and their website has gone all glitchy on me

kikipie · 24/09/2021 09:19

I’ve ordered the hair kit, and another hair kit which was £30 on the site. It will be part of my mum’s Christmas present as she’s always looking for new hair products to try

Luvacuppatea · 24/09/2021 09:52

I’ve done the exact same @kikipie 😊. The GWP looks nice and makes a change from skincare. The £30 hair kit is destined as a gift and I got a couple of bottles of Davines stuff (which I love as an indulgent treat now and then) to get to the qualifying spend.

kikipie · 24/09/2021 10:09

I’m in the process of growing my hair (we have hot summers here so I get it cropped in spring then let it grow for a year) so I’ll be needing some new hair products and this is a good way to try them out Smile

ajandjjmum · 24/09/2021 10:58

Funnily enough @Luvacuppatea, I decided to treat myself to some Davines products to get the GWP. I had some given as a free gift from my hairdresser a couple of years ago, and their shampoo and conditioner was excellent.

DD will use the GWP to fill my advent calendar along with another GWP I have, so I'm saving a fortune!!! Grin

Carrotsoupispoo · 24/09/2021 13:49

Has anyone seen the new Liberty beauty drop email? Put £20 a month into a beauty bank account and get £300 of beauty gift products for free. Will this replace the Liberty gwp do we think? And will it be worth doing?

Any thoughts?

LizzieMacQueen · 24/09/2021 14:13

Haven't had that email but it's a smart move, commercially. Get us to buy from the one store. I'm not sure they stock enough of my favourites to make it worthwhile ..... for me, anyway.

SummerWhy · 24/09/2021 14:26

I haven’t seen the email either but I’m interested to learn more. How many months do you have to contribute for? And what’s in the gift? (Apologies for the questions, I can’t find anything about it online yet!) I prefer the sound of this to the ‘spend X amount and get a GWP’ offer because, while I do spend a lot on beauty, it’s rarely £100-200 all in one go.

Carrotsoupispoo · 24/09/2021 14:30

I think it’s £20 every month but you can just bank it until you want to spend it. I guess the free gifts will be like the gwp, whatever they choose to give you at the time. If you can bank it until the normal gwp comes out, use it then AND get extra free gifts that will be awesome, but will they really do both?

Giftwithpurchase · 24/09/2021 14:52

@Carrotsoupispoo really interesting thanks for posting about it. I've heard nothing either. Pretty good idea - I'd like to know more details too

LizzieMacQueen · 24/09/2021 14:56

Or store your credit up to buy the advent calendar!

Carrotsoupispoo · 24/09/2021 15:03

This is the blurb.

We’re giving you exclusive access to a brand-new service at Liberty: The Beauty Drop is the ONLY beauty subscription with a fully redeemable £20 monthly fee - to spend on whatever you want, whenever you want. Think of it as your own personal beauty bank account, but with a lot of extra perks – including £300 of FREE beauty boxes, curated by the experts at Liberty.
What’s the catch? There isn’t one

If I can save it up for the gwp and advent calendar it’s seems like a great idea

Luvacuppatea · 24/09/2021 15:47

I’ve had the email and signed up for the wait list. This sounds interesting and I’m willing to give it a go fo £20 a month. I’ve never had a problem finding stuff to buy from the beauty section of Liberty. The kits they bring out periodically make good gifts. Interested to see the free beauty boxes 😊
