SO the last 'edition' took over a year to complete. Must try harder Voguettes. Despite the fact that we are still in lockdown, and rarely out of loungewear, there is still inspiration to be found. Spring is springing, brighter days are on the horizon and homeschooling CANNOT last forever (not if miniShop wants to live anyway).
So join us for style & beauty chat, and other inspiration as we navigate our way as stylishly as possible through lockdown 3.

Whilst trawling the internet boilersuit I came across this-can you imagine how difficult getting the thing on & off would be!

MN really need an edit button, also hit send too soon.

Shame you're returning the bag Queen, lovely though it is, it has to be perfect to keep at that price. Really liked the Sandals you linked.

Marsha I think you're also not going with the bag you linked? Such a lovely soft green and liked the look of the shape of it.

I really want to buy some clothes but can't decided what - maybe just need spring to arrive properly so can switch to lightweight loungewearGrin

MarshaBradyo · 12/03/2021 09:54

Haha MrsM looks impossible Grin

I’m still wavering over the bag, esp now you’ve said that! The whole delivery thing is a faff though if I want to return, most certainly out of practise. I’m putting other stuff in basket slowly to make it more worthwhile.

I think I need weather to change too, plus a haircut.

shopafrolic · 12/03/2021 17:03

I’ve had my vaccine today! And my haircut is booked for the 13th April - not sure which I’m more excited about Grin
What’s everyone up to this weekend? Mother’s Day chilling?

Dreamqueen · 12/03/2021 18:08

Great news Shop, I had ny vaccine last month & even though I'm not leaving the house that much , i feel less anxious when I do.

Can't imagine getting into that boiler suit MrsM let alone trying to get it off in a tiny cubicle, when bars and restaurants reopen.

QueenCremant · 12/03/2021 19:18

My haircut is booked for 14th! Can’t wait. I’m loving the length it’s grown into but it needs shaping.

I had my second vaccination this week!

No plans this weekend-I’ve given up trying to drag the kids out. I have a feeling that they will be utterly exhausted after a week back at school anyway.

I shall just chill, watch tv, do a jigsaw puzzle and drink Prosecco!

DryWhiteagainW · 12/03/2021 20:01

No particular plans. No kids at home Sad . Chilling though.
Keep browsing at clothes, really nothing out there for me which is good so I’ve been spending bits on the house which is nice. A nice floor lamp for a corner in the kitchen arrived today, looks lovely. Done up both DCs bedrooms over the last couple of months. New beds and soft furnishings. DD hasn’t seen hers yet, I’m really excited about it (and terrible at not spilling the beans!!!!!)

Went to the supermarket yesterday in my leisure wear, felt like a slob Hmm

DryWhiteagainW · 12/03/2021 20:23

A few years ago CarolineB bought some Miss KG black patent pointy Mary Jane type shoes with a little block heel. I copied her and bought 4 pairs (I know, I know , I know! 3 black and 1 pewter) They were the holy grail shoe, the perfect shoe for work, added a stylish kind of retro look to any of my outfits with a sensible heel, not totally flat. All of the black ones dies I wore them that much.
I’ve been looking to replace them ever since. Kind of a Roger Vivier vibe.....have never found them EVER!!!!!

So here is the question:

Is there an item you mourn?

AND

CAN YOU FIND ME A REPLACEMENT PLEASE?

DryWhiteagainW · 12/03/2021 20:35

Right.....you prob think they’re really frumpy but so practical

libertyonhertravels · 12/03/2021 21:58

dry I still mourn for a pair of calf length taupe boots I had in the early 2000's. They were boot perfection.

I'm not crazy about those shoes, the strap looks like it isn't in the right place! I remember the KG shoes, they were perfect for your style.

LoveFromDeauville · 12/03/2021 22:03

Love the shoes @DryWhiteagainW

Nothing to report here. Just finished work and ordered takeout. DH fixing us drinks. Hurrah, the weekend is here.

@libertyonhertravels How is life in NZ? And the new role?

Have great weekends Voguettes Smile

QueenCremant · 12/03/2021 23:09

not quite the same

QueenCremant · 12/03/2021 23:18

flatter

maradesbois · 13/03/2021 11:23

@DryWhiteagainW love that shoe story! Also lol that your practical every day shoe has a pointed toe and small heel, never knowingly underdressed 💕. I found these too.

DryWhiteagainW · 13/03/2021 17:05

Grin Mara
The thing is I’m not overly keen on Mary Janes, but girly. The pointed toe made them a bit chicer iykwim.

OOTD for a trip to garden centre with DH (first outing to a shop together for over a year!!!!!!)

Me and Em cream boxy cotton sweater
Black satin utility jogger from MV
Snake skin trainers from Moda in Pele
Camel coat Massimo Dutti
Black GUcci Disco bag

DH loved a bloody sight Shock I told him I’d disown him if we bumped into anyone Grin

Themarvellousmrsm · 13/03/2021 18:05

I've definitely seen similar shoes recently @DryWhiteagainW but can't for the life of me think where-maybe a link from a thread on S&B

However, I've cross these from Boden. Don't think you're a fan of flatforms but i definitely am & love these.

Hope all are having a good weekend-weather is rubbish here but managed a socially distanced walk with a friend earlier between downpours.

MissKittyKitty · 14/03/2021 09:54

@DryWhiteagainW I bet you're the chicest person in the garden centre.

DryWhiteagainW · 14/03/2021 21:13

Ha!

libertyonhertravels · 21/03/2021 06:59

Posting to bump the thread. I have no fashion news. Immersed in trying to buy a house which is proving v v difficult. I am over the open home circuit.

How are you all?

Actually some links... I want the following items

This dress
this jumper in chocolate brown

I also want some flat Chelsea boots.

But need to restrain myself until we get house sorted.

VivaVegas · 21/03/2021 08:23

Morning!

Not posted for a while, have been doing a bit of decorating at home and buying things for the house to make it more mine.

However I now have a few dates in the diary to meet up with friend, some inside, some outside as restrictions hopefully ease. That sun 15% off my fave Mint Velvet have led to a few purchases! Delivery due Monday so will see what they are like!

trainers
sweatshirt
spotted top

I wanted to try these but out of stock:

sandals

I desperately need my hair sorting and a wax to feel a bit more like me and less like a bag lady!

DryWhiteagainW · 21/03/2021 09:15

Oh some lovely Links to wake up to.
Liberty I can totally see you 8n that dress, very you x

MarshaBradyo · 21/03/2021 15:20

Totally lost this thread and also dh just handed me a Liberty bag with new items I’d bought last year and forgotten about! That never happens to me! I’m channelling CarolineB of course.

What is everyone doing about summer holidays? Are you booking or waiting

MarshaBradyo · 21/03/2021 15:22

Viva love those esp the spots

Lib can see you in those

MissKittyKitty · 21/03/2021 19:31

I can so see you in that dress Lib

Great links Viva love the trainers and sandals.

Marsha thinking about holidays is such a conundrum. I love a holiday as much as anyone however I seem
to have my sensible head on and think let's do an Australia/NZ get people vaccinated and get COVID under control first as it would be a shame to undo all the hard work now.

I fo feel conflicted as my head says stay at home and holiday in the UK but my heart says what I wouldn't give for a flop n drop in the sun with waiters bringing me Aperol Spritz on tap. Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 21/03/2021 20:55

Cornwall booked Marsha......can’t wait.
