SO the last 'edition' took over a year to complete. Must try harder Voguettes. Despite the fact that we are still in lockdown, and rarely out of loungewear, there is still inspiration to be found. Spring is springing, brighter days are on the horizon and homeschooling CANNOT last forever (not if miniShop wants to live anyway).
So join us for style & beauty chat, and other inspiration as we navigate our way as stylishly as possible through lockdown 3.

I've booked Greece in August. Made sure it was all fully transferable so if we can't go this year, we'll go next year. It feels nice to have something in the diary, although I did book it before the latest European lockdowns. A lot can change still veggie summer!

I'm still hunting for a decent pair of jeans. I saw a Times article which recommended Levi's high loose jeans. Has anyone tried them?

Also have just ordered the Reebok C club's after Mara's recommendation. New trainers for Spring feels exciting.

I'm stuck in a skinny jean rut but because I'm short I feel short and dumpy/frumpy in anything else.

I'm the same Viva but then I think back to the pre skinny jeans phase when we used to wear baggy jeans all the time in the 90s. I struggle more with the high waisted thing as there seems to be no room between the top of my jeans & my boobs!

I did see my 17 year old baby sitter on the road yesterday and she was wearing pretty much what I would have worn 30 odd years ago, very baggy jeans and baggy jumper. Proper grunge!

I do miss baggy jeans slung low on the hips (as otherwise they were never long enough on me....)

I struggle with the flares/bootcuts especially when styled with pointy boots as it reminds me of fashion in 90s/00s. I do love cropped flares though but look dumpy in flats with them...

QueenC I loved 90s boot cuts with pointy boots, I still have the most amazing pair of Conner brown super high heeled ankle boots in the hope that they will return for good!!!!!

Sorry I’ve not updated. Here is the bag. It’s one of those purchases that it feel like I’ve had it forever - just so me. The red and brown colours also gorgeous.

I love the short shoulder strap. Also the sturdiness (I’m rough with bags). Gold hardware and no obvious logo.

I now am on the hunt for a white/preferably off white small evening bag/clutch. Gold hardware (if any). Any suggestions?

dry I loved the boot cuts and pointy boots look but because I wore it then I find it hard to wear now. I remember the jeans were from french connection, loved them, they were £60, a lot back then. Boots were black pointy from new look. Used to wear them with my black polo neck and a little black baguette bag. Funny, the outfits you remember...

In the times today it was saying that lilac is the colour of the summer....

Morning all fell in love with these last night. I really wanted some like this in black (pre Covid) but this colour is v pretty. Totally impractical now of course.
The Levi’s high loose jeans didn’t work for me @Stokey. Shame. The denim was beautiful, but they were too tight on the hips and then just too wide for me. Sizing up wouldn’t have worked. I could see them suiting you though so I would give them a try. I am keeping the ever faithful 501 crops though which work better shape wise for me.

Aren't they gorgeous @Applefayre? Last year I couldn't find the right slouch anywhere, and then they make them just when I have nowhere to wear them. The brown are half price and gorgeous too. TBH I think I weirdly prefer the pistachio to the black but no idea how I would style them. Anyway - nice to dream. :)
