SO the last 'edition' took over a year to complete. Must try harder Voguettes. Despite the fact that we are still in lockdown, and rarely out of loungewear, there is still inspiration to be found. Spring is springing, brighter days are on the horizon and homeschooling CANNOT last forever (not if miniShop wants to live anyway).
So join us for style & beauty chat, and other inspiration as we navigate our way as stylishly as possible through lockdown 3.

Happy birthday @MarshaBradyo sounds like a LUSH week.

And thanks for all the good wishes everyone. Morphine is my new best friend, but every day a day closer to recovery, right?

Stokey · 21/07/2021 15:12

Happy birthday Marsha and Lib. Your day looks lush, just what you need in this weather.

Great buys Shop , like the buy for what you have not what you want ethos.

So painful and hot having a cast on now @limesoda. Hope it improves soon.

SummaLuvin · 21/07/2021 17:36

Sorry for going back into lurk mode, I haven’t had much to add to the thread recently.

Congrats @BlairWaldorfLovesShopping

Happy Birthday @MarshaBradyo and belated to @libertyonhertravels

Hope your ankle recovers swiftly @limesoda

@shopafrolic loving all the links. Those column jeans look amazing, I’m still hunting for my perfect post-skinny-jeans-jeans, how do they fit on the leg, bum/hips, and waist? I have a quite small waist, bigger hips, and medium thighs, skinny jeans were very forgiving in this respect because of tight fit and high % elastane meant that sizes were more flexible.

I'm waiting for some purchases to be delivered, trying to push myself out of my comfort zone with some new styles, fingers crossed they aren’t all disasters. I'm very much a mini length girl usually, and the cycling shorts will be interesting, I have seen some women style them really beautifully.

Cycling Shorts

Mini Dress

Midi Dress

Midi Skirt

Crossback Body

Puff Sleeve Top

MarshaBradyo · 21/07/2021 21:12

Thanks Stokey and Summa

Love the buys Summa and they suit your mn name very much!

This is the A.P.C dress pressie today

Easy summer style wore it right away which is a good sign

shopafrolic · 22/07/2021 16:18

Love that dress for you @MarshaBradyo - nice choice.
@SummaLuvin The jeans are TTS. I am a UK 12, 5ft 10, 30/31 inch leg. They're high waisted and loose on the hips and legs.

I am hovering over some more Whistles buys for AW. Feels weird to spend on it now given how hot it is but I think that's why the big discounts....

MarshaBradyo · 22/07/2021 21:36

I’ve ordered three jumpers even though it’s hot

But just noticed increased reduction for one but I got 10% off NaP anyway, so faffing about what to do

Obviously out of practise

Some of the other stuff has sold out which makes me feel a bit better

VivaVegas · 23/07/2021 11:40

Shop what's the sizing like on the shorter black Whistles dress?

Thinking it will be a nice daytime dress with trainers or flat sandals. I used to buy loads in there and think I have the previous Lola/Lulu dress they used to do in about 5 colours!

Not bought anything in there in ages but your buys are really nice, like the cobalt sweatshirt too.

I've been wearing the strappy linen/cotton jumpsuit from Uniglo this week, I remember a few of us buying it a few years back, completely forgot I had it, but very cool!

shopafrolic · 23/07/2021 13:48

TTS @VivaVegas
It’s a loose fit easy to wear type of dress.

AppleFairy · 31/07/2021 08:36

@SummaLuvin how were your buys? So good to get out of your comfort zone… stops me getting stale in my style.

I ordered this and the colours are great on me. But I wfh so much now I have no reason to get dressed nicely. So many beautiful clothes and heels / I think the lack of ‘getting dressed’ is getting me down. Anyone feeling the same? Might be as we’ve just had another lockdown here and not many opportunities to go out.

I had an extra discount too so it was a good price - the fabric is lovely.

shopafrolic · 31/07/2021 08:42

Totally feeling the same @Applefairy really miss having reasons to dress up - basically just miss a social life TBH

AppleFairy · 31/07/2021 08:42

Also this one. The sleeves are huge but the colour and style are strangely flattering on me. I feel so meh in my joggers at home. And when I go to the office a pencil skirt and silk shirt feel overdressed.

shopafrolic · 31/07/2021 08:44

I love the sleeves! Gorgeous.

It’s good to know I’m not alone. Ever since I was a young girl, I loved to try on clothes and plan ‘outfits’. Using my mother’s clothes and accessories. I would play with styling ideas in front of the mirror for hours. It gave me so much joy.

I have ended up stocking up on activewear and pyjamas and hoodies from Browns - what has my life come too?. Also some nice skiwear / sweaters etc (as at least I get dressed and am ‘out’ when I ski Grin).

AppleFairy · 31/07/2021 08:52

*to (sorry on phone so there will be typos)

Also this sweater

AppleFairy · 31/07/2021 08:59

hoodie - not sure if it is too much with the logo. Hasn’t arrived yet. I’d love your opinions: yes or no?

AppleFairy · 31/07/2021 10:06

Rails pyjamas. Decided to update all my home clothes and chuck anything that is tired and makes me feel less than amazing.

I love this coat. I have an H&M Rails-style plaid shirt. I’m inspired to wear it now.

Jeans are holding me back. I can’t cope with skinnies, feel so outdated (and it’s not like they are flattering on me or I wouldn’t care). I can’t find anything I like. Maybe once I find my holy grail jeans I’ll have my fashion mojo back.

I wore a long denim skirt with tan suede knee boots, burgundy polo and tan and cream shacket to the city Friday evening. With my beloved tan Chloe marcie. Burgundy lips (inside my mask). Felt okay… need to lose weight so I can tuck my sweaters in - I love how neat it looks with a blazer.

MissKittyKitty · 31/07/2021 16:54

Your outfit sounds super stylish @AppleFairy. Great buys btw. Love the dresses and hoodie.

To wean me off skinnies I bought 2 pairs of jeans from M&S - mom and boyfriend am enjoying wearing a looser fit.

shopafrolic · 01/08/2021 08:13

Like the casual wear links although hard to get my head in the game for winter clothing. The Marant hoodie is fab.
MrShop and I have had two trips to Westfield to try and up our clothing game. He spent loads in Lacoste, Diesel, Levi’s and Salvatore Ferragamo - new polos, jeans, trainers and a belt. And I got two new pairs of jeans from 7 for all mankind slim leg and a pair of black Roxanne skinnies to wear with my Grensons. I’ve gone up a dress size now since HRT and am desperately trying to get it under control. So frustrating. I’m not giving up on skinnies - will probably just go for a larger silhouette on top.
I also got a new wallet as I took the coating off my old l Kors one trying to sanitise it! Lonchamp wallet
I tried this wool shirt on in Massimo Dutti. Really nice but I need a check with more contrast. I liked the batwing type sleeves - it felt v relaxed.

What’s everyone up to today? This weather is so frustrating. Damp forest dog walk and the Grand Prix for us probably. Rock and roll.

Stokey · 01/08/2021 11:28

Love those dresses @FairyApple, particularly the yellowy one, chartreuse? Good buys by @shopafrolic too, I really like the Massimo Dutti shirt. I've moved away from skinnies, more into wide or straight legs now, but don't wear jeans much. Was Westfield busy? I took Dd1 to the east one on Friday to get school shoes, we were the only people wearing masks which still made me feel a bit uncomfortable. We're going on holiday next week so really don't want to get ill before we go. Only bought DMs for Dd1 which are apparently what you need to wear to school in Y7... Luckily she's still got small feet!

Not much else shopping news on my side although I did get some Hipanema cuffs including this one. Rather annoyingly they refuse to ship to UK (but will ship to Afghanistan!) So had to get in sent via family abroad.

No plans today, we're semi-isolating ahead of our holiday, so just lots of Olympics.

MissKittyKitty · 01/08/2021 12:48

I'm off to the gym but only to use the steam/sauna/jacuzzi facilities.

Am wearing a white cap sleeved t from And/Or and Mom jeans. They're cropped and I've turned them up. Will pair them black big buckle Birkenstock Madrid's.

Grim day here hence the indoor activities.

MissKittyKitty · 01/08/2021 12:50

Sorry @shopafrolic forgot to say great buys. Love the MD shirt.
