SO the last 'edition' took over a year to complete. Must try harder Voguettes. Despite the fact that we are still in lockdown, and rarely out of loungewear, there is still inspiration to be found. Spring is springing, brighter days are on the horizon and homeschooling CANNOT last forever (not if miniShop wants to live anyway).
So join us for style & beauty chat, and other inspiration as we navigate our way as stylishly as possible through lockdown 3.

Hello @Batshittery! I'm Envy of your evening out. No plans here (boo)! Would love to hear what you're planning to wear.

I did console myself with some bits and pieces in various outlets / sales.

A pair of flatform white brogue type things and some flatform sandals from Office offcuts. Also picked up a Campbell Cross body bag from Fossil. Half price and looks really useful.

Will do links in a minute!

shopafrolic · 22/05/2021 18:39

@Batshittery welcome - looking forward to hearing more from you.
Home from date night - 4 proseccos and a negroni in, waiting for Glasto to start (Eurovision would be epic too)

Thank you for the welcome Smile
I am wearing some black Baukjen trousers with a very slight sheen and a black zip through velour collarless top. I think it's an old M&S Blush
I have put on weight during lockdown so I'm trying to be invisible. However, I am wearing a fabulous new necklace from Tomas Sabo pendant

Ellewoods20 · 22/05/2021 23:47

@CarolineBingley you should get that Gucci dress. It’s timeless and gorgeous!
@shopafrolic enjoy glasto! Did you dress up for the occasion? (Even though it’s virtual)

FairyApple · 23/05/2021 06:11

Missed you all and need to catch up. @libertyonhertravels, we can be out of season together!

@CarolineBingley the Gucci dress is perfect / I have never met you and even I can inform you in it.

Try to lose a couple of pounds this week. If you do, you are on your way.... buy it in the 36.

FairyApple · 23/05/2021 06:11

*imagine not inform!

MissKittyKitty · 23/05/2021 07:38

Another big hello to everyone who's recently joined. I'm really loving all the links. I use the app so I can't look back and see who's posted so apologies for not acknowledging them all.

@CarolineBingley that dress is so you. Could you wear a light Mac over it during your commute? Why don't you order 2 and see which ones fits best? There may not be much between the 2.

@shopafrolic wishing your mum a speedy recovery. Thanks

I love how fast this thread is moving and I hope we get to volume 100.

FairyApple · 23/05/2021 07:57

What do you all think of the issey miyake bao bao bags?

FairyApple · 23/05/2021 08:04

Lots of images of it here

Morning! So I had a girls night OUT last night for the first time in over a year!! We went out for dinner and it was only a couple of hours but such fun. All the talk of jumpsuits on the thread earlier had me reaching for my Michael Kors jersey studded jumpsuit. It has a tapered leg so is great with heels and I wore my Valentino shoe boots. I had forgotten how much I love these boots so I am sharing the love with you. After a year of not much dressing up, i went full out nuts on the blingGrin. raindance pendant, matching earrings, D&G crystal bracelet watch, 4ct tennis bracelet and Swarovski crystal moon ring (they’re the ones you have @shopafrolic). I wanted to shout “I am back! I am back!” as I left the houseGrin

Stokey · 23/05/2021 08:20

I really like it @FairyApple, I do like something a bit quirky.

DH got me the foldable tote version for Christmas one year off his own back. The strap is not quite strong enough for all the shopping I tend to want to put in to it though!

Stokey · 23/05/2021 08:21

@CarolineBingley love the sound of your outfit, so nice to get dressed up again!

shopafrolic · 23/05/2021 08:34

@CarolineBingley about the only piece of jewellery you and I ever both own Grin
Glad you had a fun night (and got to wear heels again).
My night ended in disaster as miniShop who had been at a party all day and was supposed to be staying over threw up twice and had to be collected at midnight. Which now means that due to 48 hour rule he will miss school tomorrow in the week where they do all their assessments. GAH!

They’re lovely bags @FairyApple. Very quirky as @Stokey says, probably too much so for me which is why I have never been temptedGrin.

I think i will get the Gucci dress. It might not suit me then I can stop thinking about it! Thanks (I think!) for the enabling. Dh will be confused when he realises I still have our credit card but it’s been in mothballsGrin

CarolineBingley · 23/05/2021 08:37

Oh no! Is miniShop okay this morning?

Ask the school for him to do it later in the week in the school library.

TortoiseShed · 23/05/2021 09:06

Oh no @shopafrolic! A trip to A&E and a poorly DC in one week! That's horrid luck.

@CarolineBingley, your outfit sounds lovely and I'm excited you're getting the Gucci dress! It's beautiful.

@FairyApple, I like the Bao Bao bags. Out of my budget, so it's a moot point, but they would be more quirky than my usual style, but actually think they could work with loads of different styles. Something a bit unexpected alongside a classic outfit maybe.

QueenCremant · 23/05/2021 09:18

@CarolineBingley is certainly back! I love that you buy nothing for months and then have a massive blow out! You go girl.

@shopafrolic sorry you’ve been plagued by hospital visits and sickness.

To everyone else, sorry, I haven’t got to grips with the new names and links yet!

I wore low heeled boots yesterday and they felt v v strange! Couldn’t wait to get my trainers back on.

I have realised that I am so excited to be getting my colours done again. For those that don’t know me, the last 4 years have been pretty stressful. I lost a lot of confidence in myself and how I look but am starting to regain it. I’ve hidden behind navy for a while and am ready to embrace some colour into my life.

QueenCremant · 23/05/2021 09:21

Some quick Sunday morning links...
furry shoes, anyone?

QueenCremant · 23/05/2021 09:23

love this

QueenCremant · 23/05/2021 09:24

love these

QueenCremant · 23/05/2021 09:28

gorgeous bag

CarolineBingley · 23/05/2021 09:43

Question for you all....

I have a Burberry Kensington trench coat. And a Burberry Brit rushfield wool coat. And err a Burberry diamond quilted jacket. But I really want a trench with a hood and have wanted one for years. I saw this hooded coat yesterday which I love. Suddenly I am hesitant because is it lacking imagination to have Burberry again? If it is, what else is out there?

@QueenCremant I feel like the genie has been unleashedBlush.

QueenCremant · 23/05/2021 09:50

absolutely adore these

CarolineBingley · 23/05/2021 09:50

Dd would love those furry shoes.GrinNot sure I could take adults seriously in it though! That bag is divine. I have a visceral reaction to any Louboutins these days. They remind me of my thrice worn death trap Pigalles. I keep them around to remind me I am an idiot!!

Speaking of shoes, over the last year dd has got 3 shoe sizes bigger than me, so that's the end of me kidding myself that she might inherit my shoe collection!
