Mumsnet Vogue Vol 89 - Must try harder **Edited at the OP's request**

SO the last 'edition' took over a year to complete. Must try harder Voguettes. Despite the fact that we are still in lockdown, and rarely out of loungewear, there is still inspiration to be found. Spring is springing, brighter days are on the horizon and homeschooling CANNOT last forever (not if miniShop wants to live anyway).
So join us for style & beauty chat, and other inspiration as we navigate our way as stylishly as possible through lockdown 3.

rain coat nit very Vogue. I bought this for my stay cation on the south coast. Seemed a bit ££ for a weeks holiday but boy ami using it now. Cute, love the red but appalling quality. Keeping though because it looks nice on the outside.

Must dash.......i need to go steady as I’ve turned into a light weight over lockdown......

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/05/2021 18:17

Welcome @onalittledishy, tell us about yourself!

Waves to @Karcheer Smile

@shopafrolic you need to buy this!

shopafrolic · 21/05/2021 18:55

@RayonSunrise try the jumpsuit - it is v flattering. I’m 5ft 10 ish and long legged too if that makes any difference?
@BlairWaldorfLovesShopping LOVE that - if it was black / grey with neon pink I’d be all over it (and not so bloody expensive). May message House of Neon and see what they can do.....
@onalittledishy welcome - to MN, to S&B and to MN vogue Smile
Just had to dash my DM to hospital for an X-ray which wasn’t part of my plans for this eve. Horrible memories of all the times I was there with DF. Had a little cry in the car on the way back.
@DryWhiteagainW
wish I was there. Enjoy your entertaining.

@limesoda your Kondo mention made me smile. I have form for being brutal with my wardrobe and then looking and wondering why I have so many gaps Grin

Ah the infamous Kondo Regret! It's a killer.

TortoiseShed · 21/05/2021 19:12

Sorry about your mom op! Hope she's ok? And sorry about your dad too Flowers

onalittledishy · 21/05/2021 19:18

Thanks for the welcomes! I'm early 40s (just learned I'm a xennial thanks to some of your earlier posts?!) Three kids, youngest starts school in Sept, homeschool is (hopefully) a distant memory, so I'm excited to have a bit more time to think about myself, and revive my wardrobe/hair/makeup. It seems like a very long time since I thought about all of that - I've been living in leggings and thermals for the last year (no sign of that ending yet, it's blooming awful weather up here in the north!).

onalittledishy · 21/05/2021 19:20

@shopafrolic sorry about your mum, hope she's ok

CarolineBingley · 21/05/2021 19:23

@Karcheer yes I have a few things in the Blossom range tooGrin

Dry, you're hilarious!! Big hugs Shop. Hope mummyshop is okay.

That Donaida jumpsuit was gorgeous. Wouldn't suit me at all but gorgeous!

So, I am rethinking my ban on dh getting me jewellery because I have discovered the Frivole collection by van cleef. I love this between the finger ring and the pendant

CarolineBingley · 21/05/2021 19:24

Rats forgot to say hello to @onalittledishy!

onalittledishy · 21/05/2021 19:29

Kondo Regret - that made me laugh Grin Most of my clothes are packed away in the attic while we have building work done, and I cannot wait to get them all back out and be ruthless... we'll have new wardrobes in a couple of weeks and I'm determined to only put things back in that I really love. I'm trying to shift the lockdown pounds before then so I have no excuses to keep things that don't fit!

DeusEx · 21/05/2021 19:29

I’ve lurked for a while but delurking in honour of the Kondo regret mentioned above! Ooh it’s a killer.

Continuing to watch with interest and very much enjoying links from you stylish ladies.

Stokey · 21/05/2021 19:36

Shop Flowers hope your Mum is ok, very stressful for you.

A friend was wearing this Stories jumpsuit the other day which looked fab, slight puff to the sleeves really lifted, but may not work for the larger of norks.

I've had some success with Hush ones in the past though they tend to be a bit hit and miss, also Whistles worth a look. They keep having sales on Brand Alley.

Stokey · 21/05/2021 19:39

& hello @onalittledishy and @DeusEx - stick around.

We can never do our loft as it's brim full of old clothes . I have 2 DDs so justify it by thinking one day they'll have a treasure trove of clothes to explore.

shopafrolic · 21/05/2021 19:43

Thanks for the good vibes all. Having spent so long caring for Dad before he died it had been nice to have some time away from hospitals so it was a bit horrid to be back again today.
@BlairWaldorfLovesShopping that sweatshirt reminded me how much I want a Fund jumper

shopafrolic · 21/05/2021 19:45

@Stokey that Stories one is good - I didn’t realise they were on ASOS

I actually need to be brutal with my wardrobe.

I've been using Thank You Farmer SPF50 which is really nice.
Also quite into my Bovine Collagen definitely seeing an improvement in my skin.

Themarvellousmrsm · 21/05/2021 19:59

I was just popping by to recommend Halston on Netflix (binge watched the whole lot yesterday) and found lots of lovely new posters - big wave to everyone

My iPad is about to die so will recharge and checkout all the links

What’s this about a wedding?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/05/2021 20:17

Hello @Themarvellousmrsm!! How are you doing?

@shopafrolic wow those jumpers are cool. (Too cool for me!) Which one would you get?

My new jacket https://www.allsaints.com/women/leather/allsaints-dalby-biker/?colour=5&category=25 . I've wanted this for ages and finally decided that I needed to celebrate being able to go out again.

I loved Halston too. Really getting into the 70s style at the moment.

nelsonscolumn · 21/05/2021 23:03

And those jumpers are fab.

libertyonhertravels · 22/05/2021 00:08

Lovely jacket nelson. There is something really thrilling about a new leather jacket, the whole sensory experience of how it smells and feels and lifts lots of different outfits. Same feeling with new boots or a bag.

Those jumpers are great shop. It's got me wondering if I could customise a slogan jumper...could be an interesting project.

I'd wear this dress to the MNV wedding.
