Hello all! I've been happily following links and reading everyone's introductions for a good 20 mins now, and I can see I'm going to need to start taking notes. Thanks for the very warm welcome! 😂
I've also been loving the white Self Portrait guipure lace mini dress that summa posted, and the green DVF wrap dress with the panthers from stokey.
Seasonal colours are one of my favourite topics. I'm a winter, but like many others am finding my colouring is shifting a bit now that I'm in my late 40s so I'm starting to learn towards some of the bright spring/winter crossover colours. They can be difficult to find at this time of year (soft summery blues, warm pinks and greens, and ecru seem to be everywhere) but I was in John Lewis earlier today and this colours in this Hobbs skirt really jumped out at me:

...not especially taken with the length, though. It feels just not quite midi enough, somehow. Maybe I'm longing for it to be a maxi skirt? Anyway, it's a great print. I think I just want everything to have a certain amount of drama.
While I was in JL I actually tried things on, which was both exciting and sombering. I've been toying with the idea of a jumpsuit while WFH, though I know all-in-ones can be a challenge for hourglasses. There were 3 max items in the changing rooms, so I grabbed what I could find in a 12:

It was... interesting. I should admit that though I'm tall, broad shouldered and fairly bosomy naturally, I'm also a BRCA gene carrier so my boobs were reconstructed a couple of years ago. I was a 14 then, so they were probably more of a like-for-like swap when they were first done but now that I'm slowly battling my way back down to a 10/12 they are conspicuously not shrinking with the rest of me!* The Whistles jumpsuit was definitely the most "me," but it was a washout from the shoulders to underbust. I would have had to have worn it open to the waist with a vest beneath to have any hope of being decent in public. Separates it is then...
*I came home and moaned to DH, who looked confused and told me he didn't see a problem. Typical...🙄
