I walked past a woman a few weeks ago wearing EL White linen which was my late aunts signature scent and the tears sprang to my eyes..
My EL youth dew Amber nude has arrived. Its absolutely lush 😍
I'm having a crappy day so far...woke up with an awful headache...forgot I was dropping ds2 to school today...broke a bottle of cleaning fluid (or rather the neck of it snapped!) And it went everywhere. Its taken me about an hour to sort it all out...was all over the under sink cupboard, all over the other stuff, the floor, cupboard doors...ugh
Got a company coming to measure the bathroom to get it converted to a shower room
I just want to go to bed! 😪

I also picked 4160 Sleep Knot today!

It's a sample and it's fine, but no full bottle for me.

I've suddenly got so much perfume I think I need to set quite a high bar for full bottles and this isn't making me sniff my wrists since I put it on!

@RazorstormUnicorn that's exactly how I'm feeling, there's a few perfumes on my wish list but I want to make headway into stuff I have!

@queenpaw I went from not wearing perfume in early 2020 to spending quite a lot on lockdown treats! So lots of nearly full bottles to work my way through! However they are all wintery scents so I am on the hunt for spring smells!

Next month I'm going to get a sample set from MMM which includes walk by the beach and sailing (am I remembering those names right??). I am also ready to go to real shops for sniff tests when this is allowed! I have a much better idea now of how to describe what I like.

And of course I need a 4160 Tuesday sample box with Fluffy Lemon Top in it

laughing at all the fellow folk who've taken up a perfume addiction since lockdown.. pretty much why I started too (that and trying give myself another reason not to start smoking again.. not much point in having a host of beautiful perfumes to wear when its drowned out in eau de fag

I've just sprayed on some tarts knicker drawer which is delicious though I don't think Id want to wear it every day, but I'm getting really frustrated with how short everything seems to last on my skin. Is anyone else like this? What have you all found to be the longest lasting scents? Is it just my skin chemistry? Am I doomed to have to carry bottles with me for constant reapplying all day OR is my nose just crap and actually Im just loosing the ability to smell things as my nose becomes used to it so by reapplying I'm going to turn into one of those women who everyone hates sharing offices with because theyre so heavily doused in perfume it makes everyone else around them come down with debilitating migraines?????

Hex some scents I can smell on my clothes until I wash them but seem to disappear on my skin, my skin's quite dry though.

Hello! I don't know if this is the right place to post. I am a long time lurker who really enjoys this thread. I have some perfumes to swap if anyone is interested. A set of 6 rook samples with one spray gone from each. A full size Liz Earle no 15 with one spray used. A bottle of YSL cinema. Half a bottle of Clean Fresh Laundry... I'm really after some Balenciaga L'Essence if anyone has some!

Hey! Longtime lurker, occasional contributor here tho I always name change.

SOTD was unnamed by Byredo, I fear I'm going to develop an (expensive) Byredo obsession as I also got a tester for their new scent, mixed emotions which is delicious. I love them because they don't smell like things I've smelt before (if that makes sense?)
Also treated myself to Tulipmania hand wash for the downstairs loo which feels super luxurious but I probably won't go for that scent again as it has something behind it that I don't like (the same thing I can smell in Kenzo flowers...)

Not sure which Byredo to try next, I might go for the Oud Immortal as I do love an Oud. Does anyone have any favourites to recommend?

@notmethenwho I LOVE bal d'afrique its utterly delicious, theres lot of their stuff that I can get on with at all though (blanche and biblioteque ) I haven't tried unnamed or out immortal though

Sotd is Frederic Malle French Lover. I got a discovery set for Xmas and this one really stood out. I believe it's supposed to be for men but I love it's woody smell so got a full size one for my birthday. It's so gooood

Haha, I'm another one who never used to wear perfume but got into it during lockdown! I think it's the perfect lockdown hobby- doesn't require too much time or concentration, makes you feel nice and often oddly soothing.

@udnertheradar would love to try your Rook samples please, Undergrowth is one of my favourite scents so I'm really curious to try the rest! Will dig up a list of my available samples shortly.

SOTD is Brocard Black Swan Princess. I liked but didn't LOVE this one the first time I tried it but I just keep coming back to it.

SOTD I've gone back to the mixed emotions byredo tester I bloody love it!
It has something in it that is a little reminiscent of Baccarat Rouge
Bad news is DH said "eww I don't like your aftershave" so errr shall I divorce him before or after I've bought the 100ml ?

Ok perfumistas I think my dh thinks I’m having an affair he keeps looking at me funny every time I try a new scent... how do I tell him I’m not having an fling, just spending loads of money on perfume (not sure he won’t think that’s on a parr sin wise with adultery....)
