Hi I'm just barging in as well to give my take on Ffern :-). I've tried winter and spring so far and haven't been impressed by either - very aftershavey and not that distinctive.
In terms of finding a replacement for a loved and discontinued fragrance have you checked the notes and smells like sections on Fragrantica.com - this is a great way of identifying the notes you love and alternatives to long lost loves.

My SOTD is coffee because I woke up horribly early so I'm just going to be drinking a lot of that. Might stick some lemon oil in the diffuser as well, see if I can get some brain cells firing!

SOTD Diptyque Geranium. I wish I had picked something cosier, it is so cold here. It's hard to believe it is May at the weekend and I am still in my Uniqlo heat-tech under my clothes!

I'm in thermal underwear here today too. Ds2 has gone on a snowy hike up a hill with school today. In his trainers, as he's grown out of his walking boots. They're not waterproof ones either 🤦🏼‍♀️.

I have a couple of Rook Perfumes ( undergrowth & Neroli) & Fferns. If you enjoy green fresh citric perfumes they will be your bag. I'm not keen on the Ffern Winter)Autumn perfumes but I'm on my second bottle of Ffern Summer 19 and I'm really enjoying this Springs Reiteration.

Its roasting here, I put on Santal 33 before I left those for an unperson work meeting which got a direct compliment of 'oohhh you smell lovely' which was nice - however wore it day before yesterday to another meeting and spent the rest of the day paranoid that I honked as one of the meeting participants kept opening windows (I kept having to close them as the wind was blowing my reference paper work off the desks! I'm hoping he was just trying to keep air circulating for covid reason and that he didn't think I stank but who knows!

Sotd 4160 temptation

I do like a nice citrus, also lavender and earthy tones. I think that's why the description of the Rook scents appealed.

I've only just started work again after a year unemployed so it's hard to get out of frugal, no luxuries mindset.

@Fferny1 I've got just the thing for you - Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse. Very grapefruity and cheap as chips.

Oh by the way, Lush is doing Discovery sets now, not the cheapest, as they're all 5 x 10ml purse sprays but pretty good value for what you get.

I think les senteurs should do a sample pack for their fragrance family of the month. I'm a sucker for a themed sample pack!

All 6 are really well crafted scents but the stand outs for me are:
Ombre indigo by olfactory studio and un deux trois soleil by bastille

I've also ordered pp WITL dupe and Dior oud rosewood dupe as a blind buy...

I went through my sample box earlier and had a smile to myself seeing the samples sent to me by kind perfumistas 💜

I've now got mmm replica under the lemon trees, tom ford noir de noir and diptique tam dao samples on my dressing table to use up 😊

At the end of my years bloom subscription I'm going to have a sniff fest and I'll put on here any I want to get rid of so we can compare notes!

I might ask for perfume for my birthday again in October so I need to figure out what to ask for :)

Wearing Amouage Gold today. It really reminds me of some sophisticated perfume in the perfume halls in my 20's. I've no idea which perfume it is, as it was far too sophisticated for me then. For some reason it's one I always forget about wearing, as it sort of demands smart clothing to live up to the perfume. Loungwear just doesn't cut it... I have samples of the Vintage, current and the extrait and they're all delightful in different ways.
@MissBattleaxe the Zara perfume sounds delightful. Particularly as it's led me down a real perfume Rabbit hole. Why did I not know about Zara perfumes. More importantly I have been looking for a Grapefruit candle to replace our White Company one as they have stopped that particular scent. So the Zara Grapefruit definitely sounds worth a try.

@Fferny1 I have a couple of the Zara perfumes and they're lovely. I'm a real gourmand fan and my fave is a pastry in Paris

Sotd is Fresh Curry leaves😉.
I ordered some fresh curry leaves on Amazon and they've made such a difference to Chickpea & paneer curry.
I'm also wearing Mizensir eau de Gingembre, which is deliciously spicy.

@QueenPaw those Zara perfumes sound incredible. I now really want the Zara Rhubarb perfume and the 🍅 candle. It's absolutely unbelievable his many perfumes they've brought out this year already.

Sotd is Masque Milano L'Attesa - a sophisticated, very understated Iris, with a champagne note .

did another cheeky blind by, aoud purple rose by montale. love it, i do love a nice heavy scent! very jammy and rosey with a nice subtle hint of oud in it
