Scent of the last few days is MM Replica Jazz Club. I like it well enough but won't buy a full bottle.

Yesterday I got another sample set from 4160 Tuesday and they added two more they thought I might like. So many samples!

I think I am going to try and work through methodically. I can really only afford/justify two full bottles of spring/summer scents, especially as the samples will last me for some time!

SOTD PP woodfire - by accident! it was sitting beside my bottle of Colorado spirit which is the dupe for Mojave's ghost which was what I intended to pick up but the bottles are identical.. oops, its a lovely day here so wanted something light but actually I love it so wasnt a total disaster!

Does anyone have Marc Jocobs Decadence? I met with a client yesterday and had to ask her what she was wearing as it was lovely. So I've ordered a 1.2ml sample of ebay

Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady - loved this one. Reminded me of one of the Juliette Has a Gun samples I tried a couple of years ago. Can anyone hazard a guess which it was from my sample set? Would like to try it again but can't recall which it was.
Frederic Malle L'Eau D'Hiver - not keen. Too powdery for me.
Estée Lauder Bronzed Goddess - disliked. Far too sweet.
Lancôme O De Lancôme - liked it initially but had a strange dry down...

SOTD is #mrsglossmademedoit. I had a small sample and omg I love it, sickly sweet. So I jumped on the website to buy a full bottle and ARGH they've discontinued it?!

@justwaydamin 4160 Tuesday have recently put on sale and then discontinued a few of the fragrances that were getting more expensive to make due to rising cost of ingredients.

Maybe Mrs Gloss was one of them? If so, keep checking back as the post I read said there would be a second batch of the discontinued on sale next month (that was posted two weeks ago).

Also Sarah said the recipes would be kept so she could do one offs for people.

SOTD is 4160 Centrepiece which is ok but I can hardly smell it on me. My idea of using one sample for a week has gone out the window with the arrival of 9 more samples

@Jenthefredo I love Avon LBD Weekend. It's got a lovely dose of neroli in it. It doesn't last all day, but for the tiny price, it's good for a top up.

@Sendmetobarbados the JHAG sample may have been Lady Vengeance. Also, if you like Portrait of a lady you're bound to love Floral Street Chypre Sublime. I find them very similar indeed but the Floral Street One is about 1/4 of the price. As much as I love Frederic Malle, I can't justify the cost until the kids leave home!

@Hexinthecity I've got a feeling Decadence is being discontinued, so if you see it snap it up now. I adore the bottle! A friend of mine wears it too and she smells amazing in it.

jen I would love to try to Floral Street - I am almost out of my POAL and will definitely re-buy at some point, but a cheaper dupe would be amazing!

@MissBattleaxe oooh thanks for the heads up! The sample arrived today in the post so of course having no will power I slathered myself in it. Its strong! I really like it but maybe not for a warm sunny spring day - it feels too heavy - more an autumn winter scent - or a night out. I'll have a look though and see if I can snap a bottle before its discontinued and put it in a drawer till the autumn.

Has anyone got any good recommendations for something fresh for the spring. I'm not sure I have anything that quite fits the bill. I want something airy but with an intrigue to it. any ideas?

SOTD 4160 Sunshine and Pancakes. First try of my sample and I do not like it all, despite the description and scents sounding like I would enjoy it!

SOTD molecule 03. Currently shivering in bed with after effects of covid jab. I am somewhat outraged that it has affected me! Never get this with the flu one.
