What do you like about your body?

Tisforptarmigan · 06/02/2021 13:26

Inspired by post 'do you feel comfortable naked?'

I responded that no, I do not like being naked. But lots of people replied saying that they do and love their boobs, bum, legs, shoulders etc.

This got me thinking . . . What do I like about my body. I couldn't think of a single thing I would not change. I'm 52 so getting saggy and flabby. Nothing to admire here! Hair is thin, eyelashes too straight, feet of a troll etc.

What do you love about your body?

It is sad that you do not like any of your body parts OP.

I like:
My dreamy eyes
My lips
My defined collarbone
My pert bottom
My upper back

My shapely legs
My tight waist

My list for what areas I do not like would be just as long!

BurningRed · 06/02/2021 13:44

@Tisforptarmigan there must be something...

I love...

My green blue eyes and naturally large lips
That I’m in the best shape of my life in my mid thirties...
I have thick hair...

Without being conceited I’m happy with my lot. I just emphasis the positives and hide the bad - plenty of those.

No one is perfect!

Greenvalleysightseeker · 06/02/2021 13:46

Really, nothing you'd not change? I'm fairly neutral about most of it, I don't have the best body in the world or the worst one, whatever that would be. I suppose I love that it's healthy and it does what I need it to.

wizzywig · 06/02/2021 13:48

Great boobs in a bra. My bum has broken a few hearts back in the day

Bubbles1st · 06/02/2021 13:49

I love my
Dark eyes
Naturally plump lips
Neck and shoulders
My brain the most though

Ohalrightthen · 06/02/2021 13:50

I love all of it. Flabby thighs, saggy tum, tiny boobs that disappear when i lie down, bingo wings, hairy toes, wonky vulva, broken nose... It took me til my 20s but i love all of it. I actually think sleeping with women & going to pools with communal changing has made all the difference here - beautiful women come in all shapes and sizes and I've never once seen a naked lady and thought "christ what an ugly/disgusting tummy/chin/thighs etc".

yuyubooboo · 06/02/2021 13:54

There must be something OP

My eyes
My hair
My height
My feet

AnnieAreYouOkHun · 06/02/2021 13:58

I love my legs which aren't tall but slim, toned and shapely and my eye colour. My hairs not bad either.

Surely there must be something op? Have people complimented you on anything in the past?

IEat · 06/02/2021 13:59

My green eyes
Boobs when I’m a size 12 they are huge 🤣

LittleBoPeep95 · 06/02/2021 14:00

I like all of it

If I could change one thing I'd have a bigger bum but that's it

SpeckledyHen · 06/02/2021 14:09

Hair, eyelashes, eye colour, freckles and boobs.
All bits that have I been complimented on my whole life which is a long time now .

ZaraW · 06/02/2021 14:13

I've been doing yoga for years. I love that over the years my body has becomes strong and flexible.

Cornetttttto · 06/02/2021 14:15

I like everything. I can't be doing with people who slag themselves off.

GloriaGuadalajara · 06/02/2021 14:19

I love the fact that my body has a great immune system and I almost never get ill.
I love that I have strong legs and can walk a long way without getting tired.
I love that I have strong arms so I can pick up my toddler a hundred times a day.
I love that I am squishy and snuggly so my 4yo tells me my cuddles are the best in the world.
I love that I don't wake up in pain every day like so many of my friends with chronic conditions.
I love that my body breastfed both babies without any significant issues so I could feel confident they were getting good nutrition and comfort when they needed it.

How my body looks to other people is of secondary importance.

cheeseismydownfall · 06/02/2021 14:20

The thing I love most about my body is generally healthy enough, excepting mildly crappy periods, and enables me to go hiking in the countryside, which is my top favourite thing to do. As I get older my priorities are changing and I really, really value that my body isn't a barrier to getting out into the wild.

Jigglyjugs · 06/02/2021 14:22

I like my overall hourglass figure - although I do prefer it a bit slimmer (thanks baby weight and lockdown!) - it curves where it needs to and my bum is fairly pert and plump, although I do a lot of glutes to keep it so.
I like my big doe eyes and high cheekbones. I'd love plumper lips and longer legs though, but thats ok.

Honeyroar · 06/02/2021 14:22

I’m the same age OP and don’t much love my body, but it’s good to me! It still works well and puts up with me eating too much!

RosamundePilcher · 06/02/2021 14:22

I like my body.
Specially after I had my twins- my body changed- my stomach is more saggy- but what.
I have to salute my body that it was able to carry two healthy babies at same time, and I'm still hourglass figure despite the fact that I'm bit over weight now.
Large boobs, and visible smaller waist.
But when dressed still look great.

It took me some time to gain my confidence back, but it really is that if you feel confident you also look confident.
Don't betray yourself.🌻🌻

firstimemamma · 06/02/2021 14:23

I like all of it and am grateful for the body I have.

Tisforptarmigan · 06/02/2021 14:23

I know it's definitely a confidence thing. I'm not hideous and don't resemble Jabba the Hutt.

It's great to hear about all the things you love about yourself. I might be super critical about myself, but I never think other people look bad. Hoping that some of your positivity rubs off on me.

OP posts:
AlexisCarringtonColbyDexter · 06/02/2021 14:24

I love the fact I'm tall, slim, but with full breasts.
Cat like green eyes with long lashes
Long slender legs

1frenchfoodie · 06/02/2021 14:27

I like pretty much everything tbh. My bum could be less flabby but that is on me (little exercise) and I have a bit of a weak chin / overbite but the package works together. That said I’m a 5.2 woman who, for some reason sees herself as a willowy 5.8 - sort of reverse body dysmorphia.

PleaseHoldCaller1 · 06/02/2021 14:27

I like my eyes, lips, boobs, hands, ankles and feet, height, long legs and clear skin. Feels quite liberating typing that out actually - so thank you OP!

Its good to focus on the good bits!

megletthesecond · 06/02/2021 14:28

My feet are good.
The rest is too hairy and covered in 30yr old self harm scars that no bio oil or exfoliation will budge.

M0rT · 06/02/2021 14:31

I love that it's still alive...
There is almost no point in the day when some part of it doesn't hurt or I'm restricted from doing something that doesn't cost other people any thought...but I'm still here Smile
