Anyone using either of these? How have you found the products?

Dermatica was the only thing that cleared up my adult acne after 7 years of trying everything and watching my skin get covered in cystic acne. I’m forever grateful to Dermatica.

TheChosenTwo · 31/01/2022 21:07

Thanks @Cotswoldmama - i had just applied and done it down the front of my nose!!
I’m still wary about using it in creases and wouldn’t use it directly around my mouth or nose, I must have read to avoid those areas directly but I guess it migrates a little and goes quite near.
I’ve started using 2 pumps aswell as I was only doing one and was still on tube 1 after 10 weeks or so!

MrsGannicus · 31/01/2022 21:21

Thanks for all the info. I've decided to give Skin & Me a go.
If anyone would like to use my code for two free months it's

Just looking at skin &me,
Can I please ask...can I still use my regular( elemis Pro collagen ) moisturiser / cleanser along side this? Or do I need to purchase something from them?
My main concern is ageing/fine lines . Thankyou

I am still using the things I normally used - when I run out I might replace with one of their suggestions but it isn't a requirement.

Thankyou pinkspring

@thechosentwo Ive found that I sometimes have extra left in my tube thing even though I religiously apply it every night. You can pause the delivery of you next one really easily online. I've had to do it a couple of times as there's always more than I need each month! Also you could try putting some vaseline on the more sensitive areas first so they get a more diluted application if the product. I'm a bit late to 'slugging' but I've been doing it once every couple of weeks if if my skin feels a bit dry or sensitive. I do it at night and weirdly my skin doesn't feel really oily in the morning like I thought it would!

Cotswoldmama · 01/02/2022 10:02

I probably should have explained in case you don't know, slugging is moisturising then sealing it in with vaseline. Vaseline is supposed to help your skin to heal and seal in the moisture.

TheChosenTwo · 01/02/2022 11:10

I’ve never heard of slugging before! I can’t imagine putting Vaseline over my face, doesn’t it sort of block all your pores and things?

Cotswoldmama · 01/02/2022 11:53

I was worried about it too but after lots of googling, I tried it and my skin felt great after. I wouldn't do it every day like some do but once every week or two.

I have been on Dermatica for a while now mainly for hyperpigmentation (tret+hydroquinone). Loved the 0.025% concentration, but struggled with the 0.05%. Got rid of the sun spots, but acquired others despite using spf religiously (50 and above, applied at less than 2 hours interval, hat on outdoors) every single day. I think it's also because sun spots are caused by heat, not just by light. I have yet to try a cooling spf. Anyway, I thought of trying Skin and Me just to see what type of treatment they would recommend. They recommended exactly the same formula as Dermatica sent the last time, tret+niacinamide+azelaic acid. I'm waiting to receive it to see how the texture compares and I will update my comment.

For anyone interested, here is a code for the 1st and 5th daily doser for only £3.50:

I've been trying out skin and me (really impressed so far with the effect on my acne and I've had no side effects) but have just signed up to try out dermatica (I like that it is a tad cheaper). I'll report back about which one works better for me.

If anyone is considering either I have referral codes for both I'm happy to share 😊.

Skin & Me 2 months free (ex prescription fee of £3.50)

Thank you for your code!

Here's mine for anyone who wants it. I was on dermatica but found tret 0.025% way too drying even every three days with moisturiser.

Another referral code if anyone needs one:

I’ve been using skin & me for about 6 months now. I’ve had good results and now use it alternate nights using exfoliating acids or a face mask on my night off tret. I find this works best for me and I only need a new tube every other month so cheaper too!

summer712 · 28/05/2022 19:48

Funny enough my skin and me cream came today.

I was supposed to receive a free toner and cleanser with it but they were unable to send but will send it with my next order.

I'm a bit disappointed as the whole thing together was supposed to be the trial.

I have the moisturise only so I will see what it's like.

What's good is that it dispenses what you use for that day. However it's a tiny amount on my opinion so I have just put it on the problem areas.

I suppose I will see how good the moisturer is as a stand alone.

Here is my code if anyone would be kind enough to use LISAB5Q4H

adhdforme · 31/05/2022 09:06

Has anyone used Skin+Me just to improve skin texture? I don't have acne or hyper pigmentation. But since hitting 40 min Skin is starting to look like the texture of an orange peel.
