Anyone using either of these? How have you found the products?

Just had my new skin and me doser in the post. My tretinoin has gone up to 0.009% now. 2 months free for using my code SAMANTHT9AHW if you want to give it a go.

BearMumma · 11/06/2021 18:09

I've started using Dermatica recently and I like it, no issues with peeling, my skin is nice, smooth and looks brighter.

I've read this article before choosing one of the brands: www.independent.co.uk/extras/indybest/fashion-beauty/skincare/skin-me-dermatica-personalised-skincare-b1812959.html and decided to go for Dermatica because they seem to start you off on a higher dose than Skin + Me (I'd been using the highest strength OTC retinols I could get for the past couple of years, so I thought my skin will be ready for the higher dose of tretinoin).
And... so far so good! I guess I need to wait a little longer for big results though.

25% off the second month code (1st month is free) in case anyone wants to try it too: www.dermatica.co.uk/referrer/YCQB

I've been using Skin + Me for about a year, and happy mostly with the results, but they don't prescribe hydroquinone so am using Dermatica.

I've been using skin and me for a while now, currently on 0.021 Tret with niaciamide & azaleic acid. I had some pigmentation that has almost gone and skin just looks smoother and brighter. I tried dermatica but preferred skin and me, the product and the packaging.
Here's my code if anyone wants to try. I think you get the first and fifth month for free

Dermatica triggered pustula rosacea and their customer service sucked .
Skin and me have been amazing in comparison

Milomonster · 28/01/2022 07:49

Signed up to Skin + Me based on this thread.

PinkSpring · 31/01/2022 09:09

So I have been using this for a week after using someone's referral code on here - and I am REALLY impressed.

The customer service is brilliant and the actual cream/solution is working already, after just one week I am seeing results and my skin is looking better than it has in ages. I am shocked as I was a bit dubious signing up for something like this.

If anyone wants my referral it's KIMBERLB5HAN

Have been on dermatica for a few months for clearing up old scarring, I’m so impressed with it to be honest! I don’t use nearly as much as they prescribed so my tubes were coming way quicker than I was ready for the next one. I just binned the end of tube one - squeezed out pumps and had 10 full pumps left but I’d already moved onto tube 2 last week with a stronger tret so just binned it.
It has caused slight tingling on application (only for a few nights on each new tube) but it subsides in a couple of minutes. I don’t tend to buffer it with anything other than those first few nights. My third tube has arrived but it’s in the drawer for a while now and I’ve extended the date for the next delivery.
I can’t believe the speed at which it’s turned over my skin and got rid of the scarring (old and new). The other thing is that I’m not using any of the other skincare in my drawers as my routine has been totally stripped down. It’s kind of joyless but functional and working well but I’m at a loss as to what to do with a surplus of opened and used skincare! Quite ‘active’ for my young dds although some of it can be passed on.

Milomonster · 31/01/2022 18:40

Just received my 1st Skin and Me. 0.006% tret. Does anyone know if I can use it under my eyes?

I have a code; please DM me if anyone wants a free month.

MyNameIsAngelicaSchuyler · 31/01/2022 18:42

Skin and me completely ruined my skin.

Cotswoldmama · 31/01/2022 18:53

I've been using Skin and me for a year. It's amazing. I wear SPF in the morning and occasionally moisturiser at night but I've completely overhauled my skincare regime. I used to use about 4 different moisturisers and oils and retinols. My skin has never looked better. I never get spots my pores look smaller and my wrinkles have been kept at bay.

Here's my code if anyone wants it!

Cotswoldmama · 31/01/2022 18:55

@milomonster don't use it under your eyes, the skin there is far too sensitive.

Milomonster · 31/01/2022 18:59

@Cotswoldmama thank you for your advice.

@MyNameIsAngelicaSchuyler please could you be more specific?

I started to get weird red breakouts around my nose . Cut down , used barrier repair cream, avoided area. Got worse and started to spread. Once I stopped it cleared up in a few weeks. Never had that problem with any retinol and I’ve used a lot.

TheChosenTwo · 31/01/2022 20:03

I’ve got a question if someone might be able to answer it…
I don’t use it on my nose and I know you’re supposed to avoid the creases around there too but can you actually use it on the top part of your nose? Like on the bridge and down the… erm, front flat bit?!

Cotswoldmama · 31/01/2022 20:09

@thechosentwo you can use it everywhere apart from around your eyes.
I occasionally would get dry patches at the start of a higher percentage of tret and I'd avoid those areas for a day or two. I'm now on the highest amount they prescribe and have been for about 3 months and I never get dry patches anymore.
