Anyone using either of these? How have you found the products?

I just used the code from @Anyadvice463 too so hopefully you're getting another free week too!

Anyadvice463 · 17/02/2021 13:09

Thank you guys so much! I was thinking I would have to pause my prescription next month as wasn't sure I could afford it you have really helped me out so much! ❤️❤️

SunnyHens · 17/02/2021 13:40

I’ve found Skin + Me really good so far. I’ve just been sent my second doser and followed up the affordable recommendations for sunblock and moisturiser.
When I first used it my skin did react a bit to the Tret but I contacted them and they have good advice of just using moisturiser before and/or having a break for a day. This has worked. Skin is feeling softer already.
Will paste the link for the referral code if anyone is interested!
Here is my referral code for two months of Skin + Me for free, on me with my friend code.

Thanks to the people who used my code too!

Truthfully Dermatica didn’t do for me what I wanted it to. It did sort out my spots to an extent but my skin texture was appalling.

I ditched it and am now using Medik8 Crystal Retinal 6 which has done exactly what I wanted. Fine lines smoothed and skin much more even in texture.

I’m probably an anomaly because I’ve seen others have great results but if it’s not working for you then try the Medik8.

Dermatica here too. I've used it for about 7 months. Quantity is good, I've been able to miss a month this time as I have a tube waiting.

My pigmentation has gone. I have had blackheads/open pores on my nose...forever. If they are black heads I feel 'urrrgh' that I hadn't sorted them years ago, I thought they were large pores as part of the texture of my skin. Anyway they are nearly gone too.
Fine lines around my mouth seem finer..

I'm impressed. I like that the company keep in touch and ask for more photos. ( about every 3 months) and the prescription adjusted. I also like that this is simple, no layering, of serums and vits, no expensive mistakes, no chopping and changing. This works out cheaper.

@Anyadvice463 thanks so much for the code, hoping for a miracle 🙏

SunnyHens · 19/02/2021 15:23

Thank you to the person who used my code. I hope your formula doser works as well for you as it is for me!

TSBelliot · 19/02/2021 18:35

Dermatica didn’t work for me and I went in and developed another skin condition. They weren’t interested in giving any support or feedback. Not what I expected so whilst I don’t know that their prescriptions caused the subsequent skin issues their lack of interest or help means I won’t use them again.

Here’s another skin & me code for 2 months free if anyone interested to try it. LUCIAG53D3
I’m only 2 days in to my first month so am keeping fingers crossed it works well! I wish I’d known about the code before I’d signed up, got one month free directly on the website but 2 would have been great! Never mind, hope others can benefit

dotty81 · 20/02/2021 07:46

I've never used Dermatica but I've been using Skin+Me for two months for fine lines and wrinkles.

I noticed an immediate difference in terms of skin softness and smoothness (to the touch) with Niacinamide 4%, Azelaic Acid 4%, and Tret 0.009%. I've not noticed any difference for fine lines, as yet but they say it takes a few months for that.

The Tret % gets slightly higher each time. Starting off low is good I guess as I've not noticed any reaction on my face like I did with The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid. In fact, I still have some of TO left over so have been using it up on my neck, and my skin has immediately reacted again.

In terms of the amount of daily cream I think it's quite a lot. It's certainly enough for a thick covering on the face. And, once I've used up TO, it'll be enough for a good covering on my face and neck.

Sharing my code, as other's have, in case anyone's interested in signing up:

You get your first and fifth months for free is you use it.

ChangingStates · 20/02/2021 08:06

I've been using skin+me for just over a month- for age & skin texture. It's made a difference already - feeling much more confident about my skin and have moved to a much lighter coverage foundation. Haven't had any peeling issues either.
If anyone else wants a code, 2 months free for you, £5 off for me-

Can I ask those if you who had ageing as your main priority what month you are on and what's in your formula?

I went for skin texture first & ageing second and my 2nd month is made up of:

Tretinoin 0.009%
Niacinaminde 4%
Azelic acid 4%

Just wondering what is different for the age priority one

dotty81 · 20/02/2021 08:25

@ChangingStates I'm exactly the same formula as you in month two.

I thought the Tret sounded very low. But I'm not sure how it compares to other products on the market. I know Tret is stronger but some of the percentages thrown out by other beauty brands are much higher. I'm not sure how to do a like-for-like comparison.

mashpot · 20/02/2021 08:27

I’m on the same as you Changing
I wonder if the photos / prescription thing is real or we all just get sent the same formula!

RockaLock · 20/02/2021 09:24

For those of you that have used Dermatica and Skin and Me, how do you find the textures of the creams compare?

I used Dermatica for 4 months, but stopped, because it had made zero difference to my pigmentation, but also because I hated the texture. It seemed to sit on my skin rather than be absorbed, and even if I waited 30mins to then put on moisturiser, my moisturiser still pilled and my skin felt tacky and awful.

I'm wondering whether Skin and Me would be any different.

I'm on month two and same prescription as you my main concern was hyperpigmentation. I had a small purge and a few closed comedones crop up but I definitely think it has made my skin smoother. No real change on pigmentation yet but I have come to realise that's its going to take months to see a difference. The fb group is great for advice and progress pictures.
minipie · 20/02/2021 18:13

Rockalock Skin & me is to be used at night, so no putting anything over it.

I don’t find it unpleasant

RockaLock · 20/02/2021 18:15

Thanks, minioie. Dermatica is also used at night time, but they said you could use a moisturiser afterwards.

minipie · 20/02/2021 18:16

Anyone else using Skin&me with the main issue being acne? What have you been prescribed?

I have Clindamycin and Niacinamide. A little disappointed not to get Tret tbh as I also had ageing and pigmentation down, and Tret also helps acne.

Anyone know if I can request something being added?

SinkGirl · 20/02/2021 18:23

I did 3 months of Dermatica and it completely changed my skin - I had awful cystic acne and melasma, almost completely gone.

Need to send in more photos to get reissued, keep forgetting because my skin is good... won’t be for long though.

I had no peeling at all

LeslieYep · 20/02/2021 18:28

I started using dermatica in December, only for lines and whatnot, but I've peeled badly too. I was only using it ever other day, but chin, around nose and mouth too. Also spots in my smile lines!
So I've packed it in just as my second tube arrived! Typical.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 20/02/2021 18:33

@RockaLock I've tried both. Used dermatica first but couldn't get on with texture. It felt too wet if that makes sense. Skin+me is a cream which I preferred and I'm still using it now. I also found their customer service better.
