I saw this Draped satin blouse whilst I was browsing the H&M website.

What do you think of it?

(I would usually call it a top but it is the H&M website that decided to call it a blouse)

I wanted it to be nice so I could say 'May I say what a smashing blouse that is'. But it really is horrible. I agree with the poster who've said it looks like coffin lining.

Labobo · 13/01/2021 23:52

No. Boudoir curtains from the 1980s!

ForkHandlesplease · 14/01/2021 00:06

I don't think much of it but even if I loved it I couldn't wear it. It looks so uncomfortable.

whattodo2019 · 14/01/2021 00:20

OMG no!!! it looks like an 80's ruched blind 🤣

SpeckledyHen · 14/01/2021 00:51

Good lord NO

Okunoshima · 14/01/2021 00:54

Would make a good fancy dress top of you wanted to dress as a scrotum

TheGriffle · 14/01/2021 00:58

Even the picture of it on its own with no model in it makes it look like it’s a pair of saggy boobs.

Oh my god. It's given me flashbacks to my first year of uni - 2004 - when I got a top that was very heavily reduced from a fancy shop but I could NEVER make it work. It had the same 80s satin curtain vibe.

Just found an old photo on Facebook. It had clearly been relegated to fancy dress duty as I'm also wearing a curtain. Mainly horrified by how low rise my jeans were Shock

This ruched style seems to be in fashion as I was browsing for clothes online yesterday and saw quite a bit of it. I don't mind it on the arms but I do think it would look a bit odd across the chest!

Divebar · 14/01/2021 11:31

Sadly it’s the very definition of “ fast fashion” and will undoubtedly be sitting in some landfill for the next 1000 years.

Hotcuppatea · 14/01/2021 11:37

Looks uncomfortable 😕

Thegoldplace · 14/01/2021 11:42

Google: Gemma Collins orange dress.
The end.

nevernotstruggling · 14/01/2021 13:11

I like it. I'd wear it

Ellapaella · 14/01/2021 13:38

I really like it and would wear it. Looks nice with the skirt she has on in the photo.

Blondiney · 14/01/2021 15:02

Pantomime curtain abomination.

peak2021 · 14/01/2021 15:58

Colour makes it look awful.

Sheleg · 14/01/2021 16:04

Victorian asylum chic.

Verite1 · 14/01/2021 16:17

It is horrible and looks incredibly cheap.

Jetatyeovilaerodrome · 14/01/2021 16:19

@AuntieDolly

I look like that naked! 😱
😂😂😂
Jetatyeovilaerodrome · 14/01/2021 16:20

I normally like a lot of 'Unmumsnetty' stuff, but that top is truly hideous - these comments are spot on (and hilarious!) I'm afraid

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 14/01/2021 16:22

Nononononoooooooo!

NameChange84 · 14/01/2021 16:23

I had a flower girl’s dress like that back in 1990 when I was 5.

It’s a bit too “Hyacinth Bucket’s Best Curtains” for me.

unmarkedbythat · 14/01/2021 16:24

Be alright in a different colour, probably. I can't stand that shade.

iguanadonna · 14/01/2021 16:28

If I were thin enough and had the figure to wear that... I would wear something nice instead.
