Hello - let's hope we get a bit more glamour this year and fingers crossed for some tiara watching....

When I looked at the image Maud posted, I wondered who was in the photograph in between Kate and William. It looked like Meghan and Harry. How nice, I thought, a bit of a brotherly nod there. But Harry in shorts?

Yes, it was clearer in the video. And, yes, I'm overdue an appointment at the opticians.

I think they must be at Anmer because of the schools being shut and it seems so much more homely and private than KP (in my head at least 😬). If I had the choice of houses to homeschool in I'd definitely be off to the countryside asap!

Love the Hanoverian paintings, I think Wills looks most like George I judging by those. Imagine growing up with paintings of all your ancestors all over the place, or for Kate, seeing pictures of your husband's family stretching back for hundreds of years

If I was Kate I'd also find it a bit mad that I'd learnt about my DH's ancestors in school History lessons, long before I'd even met him or was aware of him.

Horsemad, apparently it's Alexander McQueen, though I can't seem to find out if it's cashmere. I love grey jumpers and cardigans; my family really tease me about it!

I too love that grey jumper look. Her hair is just lovely and I agree, she looks great in unstructured clothes.
Although her Trooping of the Colour outfits are absolutely beautiful, so she does glamour well too!

The Swedish influencer (boak) Ebba von Sydow has a Friday royal roundup that's prettttttty thin-looking these days. The last one she gave up completely and did it on the inauguration instead. Yes Banivani! I am very sick of top half dressing! I think that we'll need some sort of ball or event which requires full gowns and jewellery once this is over if I am going to stop feeling deprived. Thank you for the links - off to look now.

I couldn't agree more about lower halves bani! With those photos of the DoC, for example, I'd love to know what's on her lower half - smart trousers? skirt? jeans? jogging bottoms?

I enjoyed those Swedish RF christening photos. As you say, a tantalising look back at people in actual outfits, with their whole selves in the photos!

Leti saves the day! Here are some images from the annual diplomatic reception. Great to see a whole outfit! I'm not sure I like her hair quite so tightly pulled back (has she been taking notes from CPV?!). But great to see some glamour! Sadly masks don't do much for any outfit (though obviously I appreciate how important they are).

Gosh, that's a fabulous colour! Would you call it violet? The pictures of Kamala Harris on the link banivani posted showed her wearing a similar shade. It must be having a moment.

I think violet is the right word for it. Yes very similar shade to Kamala Harris's outfit. I have to admit that it's not a colour I love, but I'm so fashion starved that the thigh high split and sparkly earrings were enough for me with Leti's outfit!

Yes, I saw it was old, but when the photo popped up on my instagram feed yesterday it didn't have much info, so I googled. I love the design, I just think it's brilliant. Mind you, I have discovered a previously unsuspected penchant for tiaras since finding these lovely threads, especially diamond ones 👑

Meant to add I am pleased to hear it's still there - hopefully I'll get to see it there one day
