Thanks for the contributions, everyone. Dr Biden's coat is beautiful. I seem to remember Michelle Obama wore a very elaborate floor length white dress, but different times, I suppose. I wonder if HM and now Kate are borrowing the themed literal dressing from Victoria?

I, too, love Jill Biden's evening ensemble for the inauguration. Sadly, I don't know my state flowers very well. For my native state of Georgia it's the Cherokee Rose. For my adopted state of Florida it's the Orange Blossom. They are both pretty and nicely fragrant. That's about the extent of my knowledge.

Jill Biden's outfit was gorgeous. So simple but lovely.

Yes, the California Poppy. It's a golden color rather than red.

Both Kate and MM look really good in red, imo, and nice and cheery during the depths of winter.

I think it's a narrow console table placed in front of doors ( which they rarely open )

I think William looks similar to Princess Michael of Kent's son, Frederick Windsor.
He has those dark under eye circles.

Maybe Kate could lend him her Touche Éclat

I know it was a few days ago but the photos of Jill Biden's coat with the embroidered flowers of all the 50 states, well the coat was exquisite & also a really thoughtful touch with the embroidery considering the US is so politically divided at the moment.
