Mine is the Philip Kingsley elasticizer.
All my friends love it but every time.i try it my hear is left like a grease slick. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong as I follow every direction. I rinse my hair more than normal when using it.

What doesn't work for you?

@PussyMalanga

Function of Beauty shampoo. I fell for the influencer hype. It's rubbish, and really expensive. A cheap bottle of Tresemmé does a better job.
Absolutely same for me. Cancelled after one bottle
BarryWhiteIsMyBrother · 23/12/2020 08:02

Urban Decay all nighter didn't work for me either.

Pinkfreesias · 23/12/2020 08:23

Touche Eclat. I still looked like I'd been boxing. And all the This Works products I've tried. They didn't.

Rainbowandscarlett · 23/12/2020 09:03

Long4lashes-didn’t make a difference
Any of those socks that claim to peel off skin
8 hour cream-Vaseline was much better
Anything by rimmel-I come out in a rash
Banana hair food mask-the smell made me feel sick and my hair a greasy slick-took about 4 washes to get out
Soap and glory mascara-gold tube-there’s nothing in the tube
Natural collection-no pigment in the make up
Tail and mane shampoo-dried my hair out and made my scalp itch

ChrissyPlummer · 23/12/2020 09:03

@Malin52 I like the waterproof version of Better than Sex, only one that doesn’t run when I’m wearing a mask all day at work.

'The tinted moisturiser from Laura Mercier. Was a MN favourite years and years ago. Brought me out in the worst kind of cystic looking acne ever. Never had such terrible skin in my life.'

LMTM is my holy grail. I've been wearing it for years and love it to death.

Mine is Clinique DDML.. It's never done anything for me. Tried it again recently and nope...nothing...I really like their gel moisturiser though.

Housewife2010 · 23/12/2020 13:03

Pillowtalk lipstick. It doesn't suit everyone. It definitely doesn't suit me.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 23/12/2020 13:14

This thread has given me a giggle. Some of the comments read like ads for the products Grin I will have a think.

😅
It wasnt meant to be that way.

My friend loves the elasitczier, me, not at all!!!

@NotVeryChattySchoolMum

Perfumes:

Byredo - seems incredibly expensive for their stuff that hardly lasts on the skin and doesn't smell that special...maybe I like Bal'd Afrique but can easily think of other happy summery scents. Ditto Jo Malone, even though stuff smells nice (if a bit like home fragrance) but the concentrations must be....homeopathic! Diptyque seems to be so much better on my skin - can smell but not project too much.

That's a brilliant description of No Malones (spelling intended) if ever there was a prize for style over substance. Lovely boxes. Products which are basically 80% water. I find a lot of expensive perfume very Emperor's New Clothes. Tom Ford. Meh. Anything rocking the "lime, neroli, portofino" vibe. Get Superdrug's £4.99 one. It'll last longer.
HeyGirlHeyBoy · 23/12/2020 14:45

Oh I mean the antithesis of actual ads op but just the way I'm reading them perhaps, in ad type voices but with all the disappointment!

yellowhighheels · 23/12/2020 15:41

Coco and Eve conditioner, left my hair flat and greasy. Elasticiser was good though.

I used the ordinary (I think buffet, hyaluronic acid and something else) for about a year and started seeing fine lines and flakes of dry skin. started using superdrug vitamin E, oil at night and a really good factor 50 and they've gone again.

redferrari · 23/12/2020 16:26

Pillow talk lipstick as many have mentioned, Clarins beauty flash balm and anything from Cantu.

The Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, loved on here, was the very worst thing I've ever done to my skin. I went from skin prone to occasional pimples to a face full of deep, painful cystic spots.

Anotheruser02 · 23/12/2020 17:24

Banana garnier hair food mask.
It literally did nothing for my hair.
I found that too, but it is lovely as a leave in for me, putting a small amount through the ends before drying, try it before you throw it away.

Double wear foundation-still ended up with shiny skin after a couple of hours!

YSL All Hours is a good matte foundation but not flat looking Smile

WeCameToDance · 28/12/2020 16:28

I’m not sure if it’s highly rated but Kiehls vitamin c eye serum. I swear it actually made my under eyes worse! That was one for the bin.

Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks were horrendous for me. Beautiful colour for the five minutes it stayed on before entirely flaking off. The applicator was difficult to use as well.

Estée Lauder Double Wear. It went on fine one side of my face but creased so badly on the other side that my skin looked badly scarred. I couldn’t work it out.

Morgan12 · 28/12/2020 16:32

CT concealer. Its good but shows up every wrinkle around my eyes. Does hide the bags though tbf.

Destinysdaughter · 28/12/2020 16:35

Expensive Bobbi Brown foundation. Was no better than Rimmel or Maybelline.

28andold · 28/12/2020 16:37

Facetheory regenacalm pro s retinol serum DOES NOT WORK!!!

Glitterb · 28/12/2020 16:48

Benefit mascaras, a pig to get off and snapped my lashes. Tried a few and all have the same effect.

Cerave cleansers and moisturisers, made my skin spotty and really sore.

Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, completely dry your lips out so the lipstick cracks and makes you look like you have an illness
