How many lipsticks?

I seem to have too many lipsticks, and really need to be using some up before I buy more. But then I see a new colour that I 'need'. Granted, I have been a bit more restrained during mask wearing, as no one apart from DH gets the benefit. Does anyone just have a few in different shades, then replace as needed? Please make me feel better. How many do you own?

Including lip glosses and crayons (but not lip liners), 20. I really cut down earlier this year but can’t get below 20

I bulk buy ( well, 3 or 4 at a time) my go- to clinique fave, then I have probably 4 others , assorted shades , which I wear every so often. When I was younger I had a bit of a lippy obsession and had loads. I especially loved Helena Rubenstein which you can't get now and had some ultra chic Diors and Chanels too. You can't have enough great lippy!!

I've never owned one.

Oh and one or two fabulous Guerlains as well.

I have two total go to lipsticks (but several of them, one for handbag, bathroom, dressing table), another 4 or so "sometimes" lipsticks and then probably another 5 or 6 colours that I bought over enthusiastically and only wear maybe once a year.

This is all interesting! Haven't thought about Helen Rubenstein for years! Re Guerlain, I resisted buying one of the refillable ones in the flashy crystal case. The only thing fortunately preventing me giving in is the fact that I don't live near enough to a Guerlain counter to check the colour.

About 100. All red.

I had a massive make up cull this year. I have about 20 now. God know when I'll use any if them up.

Probably 50 🤦🏻‍♀️. Half of them are mini ones though.
I was trying to choose which red to wear today and tested about 10 on my hand. Yet I was browsing Lisa Eldridge questioning whether to treat myself!

Loads, probably 40. I barely wear them though, even less nowadays with masks. The colours or textures are just slightly wrong. I wear a core of about 7 that suit me and are a comfortable texture.

They are all over the house too, in the pot by the front door, in the car, in various handbags, in make up bags, in my dressing room. So I probably have more than I think I do.

Hmm. The idea of having multiple copies of the same lipstick, in different locations, or just different ones in different places hadn't occurred to me. I just have an extra one in my handbag. This is all making me feel better. I probably have about a dozen. Maybe its the fact that there's only about 3 I wear making me feel a bit guilty? I ought to have a cull of the unworn ones really.

Literally zero. Haven’t worn lipstick since my early 20s and don’t think I ever will again - it just doesn’t suit me as I have quite wonky/thin lips so don’t want to draw attention to them. Bit of lip balm is all!

Around 40ish, mainly in very similar colours.
I can’t tell you the last time i bought one though, I stopped when I realised I just bought them in the same colours but different brands - some of them need to go as I don’t like super matt lipsticks, too drying and suck the life out of my lips leaving it looking like a shrivelled dogs bum! I’ve tried applying gloss/balms etc on top which does make them more comfortable to wear but they transfer terribly. I’ll just decluttered them. Think I’ll do it tomorrow, I fancy a little clear out!

I love makeup but my 'thing' is foundation- I've got loads of them, always searching for The One
But lipsticks I only use one really. I have multiples for dressing table/handbag. I've only ever used lip colour nudes as I always overdo the eyeliner so I never use a strong lip colour - they make me feel ridiculous for some reason. I wouldn't think twice about thick eyeliner, lashes, tons of blush etc but a definite lipstick colour that's different from the colour of my own lips?? Oooof, I couldn't!

6 lipsticks. I didn't really wear any between my mid 20s and early 40s and then I spent some Debenhams gift vouchers on a lovely red Chanel lipstick and that kick started a little flurry of lipstick buying. I don't wear them everyday but always get compliments when I do. I love lip balms though and always have a good handful of those on the go at any one time.

I have around 50. Some are shades of mauve/plum, others are nude colours, but the rest, majority, are red I hardly ever wear red now. I decided to try wearing it again recently, and I felt incredibly over dressed, even in my non glam clothes. I miss wearing it

I sorted my makeup over the summer with the help of my teenage daughter. She made me sort my lipstick collection as told me I had too many. To prove a point she counted them. I had over 80 and some were duplicates. I did get rid of about 20 but have acquired more since then, ranging from nudes, reds and bright pink.

At a guess, about 50, I wear lipstick every day and still haven’t finished even a mini for weeks or months. I don’t think I need to buy another lipstick for the rest of my life

I have about two open and about four unopened in a separate drawer.

Lots but haven’t counted, I am sure more than 50 and maybe less than 100. I might count them this weekend and repost

I do have a handfulI I should get rid of because the colours are wrong but I don’t make too many mistakes now. I hadn’t bought any since the start of lock down then Mac did their price drop and I went a bit crazy.

Weirdly I couldn’t really care less about other make up. I religiously use the same mascara and will use an eye palette and blush repeatedly until they are done.

Definitely over 100, way over 100.
And I've got them seperated in to peach/nude coloured, pink /purple colours and then reds.
