How many lipsticks?

I seem to have too many lipsticks, and really need to be using some up before I buy more. But then I see a new colour that I 'need'. Granted, I have been a bit more restrained during mask wearing, as no one apart from DH gets the benefit. Does anyone just have a few in different shades, then replace as needed? Please make me feel better. How many do you own?

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants Body Shop Sienna Rose. It's quite a subtle colour but I just found it too drying on my lips. Which is your favourite lippy?

Thanks Snack Weirdly, I am currently liking an Avon Power Stay, power on peach cheapie. It's very subtle, without me having to use a lipbrush, (CBA). Santa is bringing me the refillable charity one from Charlotte Tilsbury with the panther on it, and I can't remember the colour. I keep hearing great things about Clinique black honey, but have never ventured there.

and Clinique 14 Plum Pop
In the car I have a Clarins one v similar to the pale pink Estee
On my desk at work a L'Oréal one bought at Boots Victoria Station in an emergency.

Thanks Roses. Not actually sore, but I have dried out my cheapo Avon one by leaving the lid off, normally I would have got away with this slovenly behaviour, so maybe it's worth paying a bit more sometimes.

The best red lipgloss ever was in the Charlotte Tilbury range for Helena Rubenstein, before she had her own makeup line. Called Bed Red. I have long hoped she would replicate it in her own range but so far no.
I have no idea how many lipsticks I have, maybe 20/25? Lipstick goes off relatively quickly so I never have loads.

I have quite a few but wear lipstick all the time...my lips feel weird with nothing on them.

Probably only 3/4. Quite a few lip salves though.

I have 15 it seems. It always feels like a lot more, but I realise this is at the lower end from quite a few people. Almost like I have been MN permission to buy more in the sales!

Erm - a disgraceful amount- probably over 50- but I wear lipstick every day. Matte ones in the main

I’ve got two that I wear day to day, a red one for special occasions (not worn this year for obvious reasons) and a few knocking about that I don’t particularly like and don’t wear.

I own loads. Maybe 50. Mostly pinks and plums. Ranging from bright fuchsia pink to nude pink. Dark Berry plum to soft Mauve. And a load of reds. My favourite colours are brights. Pinks and reds with blue undertones.

My favourites are Marc Jacobs, Laura Mercier and Max Factor, that are traditional bullet lipsticks as I'm fed up of thick dry liquid ones. The Max Factor are my day wear ones as they are quick and easy and moisturising. The others take a bit more precision so are worn for lunch dates and nights out etc when I have more time. The majority are matte or satin as I like a saturated colour. I do not fear a bright lipstick. 😁

45!!! In current rotation, some of the same colour- one in my purse and another of the same colour on my vanity. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I only have 3 and replace with the same or similar.

Two favourite every day's, one is summer pinky and one a winter Matt reddish shade.

Then about four others worn infrequently.

I had no idea people had over 20!

Very pleased with my new Charlotte Tilsbury lippie. And as I still only have 16, I think I'm being quite reasonable

Only wear pinks or nudes

I would love to be able to wear red lipstick but I weirdly look like a porcelain doll when I wear red lipstick

Most bought before I had my colours done, though, so I should probably throw all the warm toned ones out.

That's interesting about colours being done. I had mine done ages ago with House of Colour(?) and beyond trying to flog their own lippies, can't remember any advice. But I think @formerbabe there should be a tone of red you can wear, even if it's not the one you might have been inclined to pick out for yourself. Other people are much better at detecting blue -toned etc than me, I'm useless at it.
