Love the green dress @Sickoffamilydrama. Steilmann is a German make @OublietteBravo. That skirt came from a charity shop but I have seen the brand in local boutiques. Worth looking out for IMHO. Love the swishy skirt. Cheerful trousers for a grey day. Cords Tommy Hilfiger, fleece Zara

Oh my goodness will it never stop raining?! At least it's warm today. We have a lot of snow forecast for tomorrow and Monday which I am dreading. Will really bugger up the vaccination programme in our rural area

So the hush dress potentially for DD1s wedding has arrived. I really like it and will keep it even if I don't end up wearing it for that. Remember I'm not DD1s mother but her stepmother so I don't need to go all mother of the bride thank god. Trying it on with the bargain Russell and Bromley sandals ( £45 reduced from £195) which tbh I just want to wear with my jeans! What do you think?
Also, what do you think of these sandals from hush? Anyone got any similar? Are they comfortable?

Going for a walk and it's so muddy everywhere so needed to wear jeans that tuck in easily into boots.

Love the Hush dress @Sooverthemill - really looks good. I haven't even looked at the new collection yet which is very unlike me! Been so busy it's unreal and hardly been on Mumsnet at all. Only really looking at this thread as to be honest Mumsnet seems to be a very angry place at the moment and the rest of S&B seems a bit quiet.
You are all looking great, been catching up with the thread this morning.
It's been such consistently bad weather that all I wear on days off is practical jeans and jumpers - whatever I wear has to be suitable for dog walks in freezing rain and gail force winds.
Today for me is my Levi's (had these about 4 years now) with jumper from Toast and DM's. Earrings are from Hush.

Rainy day here too, we managed to get out for a walk between downpours. I’m not sure if we’ll get out tomorrow with the snow they are forecasting (5-10cm here in East Anglia).

Keeping it simple and snug again.

I know what you mean about the weather @EllaPaella - the ground here is completely waterlogged and there is mud everywhere. It really does seem to be a long, grey, wet winter. I also agree with you on MN - I’m currently sticking to S&B and a couple of long-running threads on the exercise boards.

That said, I’m late posting today because it was unexpectedly dry and even a bit sunny this morning. So I’ve been out clocking up my step count before the weather turns (there are currently ominous clouds to the west).

My 4 year old chose my outfit and declared me beautiful

The jumper (Poem) and skirt (old H&M) are acceptable enough together that I will probably leave them on. May lose the heels when we go to the playground though

Been going through my wardrobe and packing ready for our house move. I'd forgotten about this wrap my DM bought it and it's cashmere mix so really soft, every time it gets colder I think oh I must wear it and I never do I just don't know how to wrap them without it all coming undone and getting on my nerves.

Has anyone seen any blogs on how to wear them?

View from my bedroom window just before 9, it's been snowing for about an hour I think. Yuk. It's forecast for days here

We have a bitingly cold wind, but no snow. At least it has stopped raining - it was very wet overnight. It’s definitely a day for cosy clothes.

@Sickoffamilydrama that wrap looks so lovely on you! Sadly, I haven't found the answer to the flopping all over the place issue - I have several wraps I crocheted which I don't wear for the same reason.

My new clothes arrived and left again. They didn't suit me and I am determined not to waste my money this year. Did keep this denim dress for Wrangler and I love it! Worn with Primark fleece leggings and dodgy Xmas slippers.

I've been off Mumsnet for a few days - similar to you @EllaPaella, there seemed to be lots of very cross and mean-spirited threads and it was getting me down. Nice to come back to this one though, and see you all and some lovely outfits 

@Sooverthemill the dress from hush looks lovely. @Sickoffamilydrama I love the knitted wrap on you, looks really nice. Such a shame the green jumper was itchy for you! I found it a bit itchy but I've washed it in delicate fabric wash and it's fine now. But I can wear all wools, even lambs wool (DM is always amazed as she's very sensitive to wool).

@OublietteBravo I love all your skirts/ dresses and jumpers. I'm also finding all footwear has to be mud-appropriate at the moment!

No snow here, but it was very cold on our walk this morning. I'm wearing sweaty Betty yoga pants and sparkly navy hush jumper - not very exciting but cosy, and I'm still loving the sparkle in the jumper ✨

@PalacePaper oh yes freezing here today too... my parents are telling me that it's quite spring like where they are down south but up here it's absolutely awful weather. So so cold!
Had quite a nice day - managed a 10 hour sleep last night and have met a friend for a walk this afternoon. Played piano for a couple of hours while DH cooks a roast.
Going to indulge in a glass of wine shortly and just relax as much as possible as I'm back to work and 13 hour shifts tomorrow. Desperately trying not to have the Monday morning fear feeling!
Today I am wearing my coated jeans, Hush T shirt and earrings. Feel like I've made more of an effort today, it's nice to wear nice clothes occasionally even if it's just in the house. My hair is a complete mess after being blown about on the beach earlier.

When we went for a walk I very stylishly wore these with lace up country boots and all I needed was a tweed cap and I would have looked like an extra from a pheasant shoot! Luckily my oversized duvet coat hid the poor styling.

@Sickoffamilydrama obviously I didn't go ( I honestly can't remember when I last saw the sea. September 2019?) but this was our beach this morning

Wow @Sooverthemill I could imagine walking along there all Demelza like with the wind whipping my hair for about 5 mins until my ears started to freeze even a little bit of outside does me wonders.

We have a light dusting of snow and it’s doing the snow equivalent of drizzling at the moment, but I don’t think it will amount to much. It’s definitely cold - I have thermal base layers underneath my work clothes today.

@MrsBobDylan - I really like the denim dress. Sometimes I find this thread a bad influence, but it’s definitely made me better at sending back anything I’m not sure about.

Am in @OublietteBravo's jumper today. It's very cosy. Still tons of snow here and blocked roads, wondering if my Sainsbury's delivery will actually make it through. @Sickoffamilydrama we moved here specifically because I've always wanted to live by the sea but sadly I hardly get to see it. Can smell it though which is nice

@OublietteBravo I think this thread is a good influence on me - I find myself thinking about what I wear and can check in so see what you guys are wearing for some inspiration (although I still end up in denim and stripes!!!).

@toastfiend you do items together very well - do you work in a job which needs a good eye for styles? I find putting outfits together unfathomably hard

I am off to the physio so am putting on my least revolting joggers and a clean t shirt. Not photo-worthy!

Facebook is covered in posts from local shops saying they are closed. Because the access roads are all blocked! Yikes

Afternoon ladies.. back after a bit of a hiatus, I was off work for a couple of weeks and slobbing around in leggings so wasn't much point posting! Back to it today and determined to wear my nice winter clothes over next few weeks and enjoy them :)

Haven't caught up on all that I missed but @sooverthemill your new dress is absolutely lovely!

Today I am wearing Lucy and Yak pinafore, top and cardigan from H&M and thermal leggings from M&S. Super cold here too but no snow as yet. I also figured out that if I put my camera timer on I can take a slightly less awkward outfit selfie!

Ah thanks @MrsBobDylan, that's really kind! I work in marketing for a charity, so not really. Most of the time I throw on whatever is clean and comfy, but I think I tend to gravitate a lot towards similar sorts of colours, so that makes it easier to pair items.

Not been around much the past few days. Have been checking in and everyone looks great, as ever. DH went away with work for nearly 3 weeks on Saturday morning, and I've immediately come down with a raging infection in both ears and have gone deaf and feel like shit, which is ultra convenient when in sole charge of a toddler... 🤦‍♀️ Still, I've got some antibiotics now, so hopefully normality will be restored soon. Haven't made much effort in the outfit stakes today, but I'm warm and comfy and from the shoulders up I'm smart enough for my Zoom meetings today.
