The blood test happened. Bit of a shock as it was a district nurse which makes me think resources are sorely stretched to use a nurse for such a routine procedure. He ( also a shock to DD) was very kind and she has no bruise at all, really usual as EDS patients bruise very easily. Hoping these results take less than 2 months to come back!

It's boiling here ( well, 9 degrees) so I'm in short sleeves and trying out another pair of neglected jeans, I think these are keepers though I don't wear really skinny ones often, they make a change

Oh dear. I know I have a different pair of boots which would work better with this outfit. But I just can’t be bothered to dig them out. Mostly because I know no one will see me (other than DH and the DC - who won’t notice one way or the other).

I’m still doing reasonably well on not spending money on clothes. Or to be more accurate I’m being very diligent about sending things back. So far this year I’ve only kept one jumper (and I’ve sent back 3 jumpers and 2 pairs of boots).

Well done on the no shopping @OublietteBravo the boots look fine but I know what you mean it's good to have a change every so often.

I really liked this dress when I bought it but I'm never sure if I'm getting the waist to sit right. I think pulled up a little like the first picture looks the best.

My hush jumper has come it's the most beautiful colour but I can't wear it. It is really itchy @PalacePaper how did you manage to wear it for more than 5 seconds. I even had a long sleeve thermal on.

@Sickoffamilydrama that's such a problem for me too! I'm going through jumpers and being ruthless with the itchy ones. I can see from Stylebook which ones I'm wearing lots and am going to eBay the ones I don't. Even if I like them, I don't wear long sleeve tops enough to make them work!

@OublietteBravo I like the boots though I do understand. I am unsure where my stuff hides, my room isn't big so it should be easy!

It's our wedding anniversary, 22 years, and so I'm in velvet jeans as a concession to the occasion with a tee that says ROSÉ too. I've arranged a delivery of a three course meal from our favourite restaurant for later and DH has been detailed to buy a bottle of Prosecco as we seem to have run out! I ought to do a deep clean of the house but I am not doing it today, I hate cleaning.

I've had stuff arrive that I ordered a while back, one pair of wedding sandals is going back to R&B, but I really like the Coach clogs I got ( last purchased clogs in 1976) and have great hopes for a Wrap London cardigan

I can totally identify with the itchy jumper problem. My recent solution has been to buy cashmere (there have been some good deals around over the past 6 months or so). I’m not very good with wool (I hate the faff of cleaning it).

It’s a bit wintery today. Sleet rather than snow. Definitely a day for casual and cosy (I didn’t mean to wear head to toe jigsaw).

I have a birthday zoom party so perfect time to wear sparkle, I actually think I could wear this for a night out to the local goth/ grunge pub whenever they open again and start doing band nights.

Hello! I've been underground for some time for various reasons (though I want to acknowledge that @Sooverthemill kindly checked in on me during that time).

I'm place marking as I think it would be great to keep up with you all and to have a reason to make at least a minimal effort again!

I find wool itchy unless its merino or cashmere. I've had lots of bargains from TKMaxx and charity shops over the years. The nearlynewcashmereshop was recommended on another thread.

@Greyhairwarmheart I can wear merino and bizarrely it seems I'm okay with mohair as my sezane mohair cardigan is fine on bare arms. Alpaca makes me want to scratch my skin off and 'lambs wool' is impossible. I only discovered I could wear merino about 20 years ago after avoiding wool all my life.
@dellacucina so nice to see you back! Hope every is okay and you can wow us again with your fab outfits.

Wearing very stretchy cotton trousers today but which actually feel much tighter in my thighs than I recall. Hoping that's all my yoga building muscle rather than anything else! But in any case DH and I have decided we need to get back onto the healthy eating wagon. We've really been eating junk recently and using up the Christmas food isn't really the reason.

PIP forms sound a ridiculous thing to have to reapply for @Sooverthemill

I have woken up and feel quite positive. Things have to be moving in the right direction.

Weight wise I am 4lbs up on where I would be happy to get to and 7lbs up from where I was. I have been making sure I have been getting at least 10k steps a day and I need to make sure that I stop snacking. My meals are generally quite good. As I haven't really been wearing my nice clothes I am not sure on the fit of them but it seems to be around my tummy. February seems a good month for a bit of self care. I have completed my no spend January with only one permitted purchase which was a layering top for walking, so something I have already used lots and it was only £12. I have just completed a m and s order for underwear for DC and I did order one of the no body's child sweaters. I have £130 Christmas money so that will come out of that, although if I bin one of my old hoodies it is sticking within my 'rules'. The only thing that I am really looking for is some new black trainers for walking/cycling. I like Nike downshifters but am keeping my eye open. I did see a lovely jumper on Next the other day, it came up on my facebook feed. I will post a link. This may be purchased to replace a joules jumper that I don't really wear or like.
