I have a confession. I cracked on the no spend thing and bought a pair of cropped trousers in the Hobbs sale.

Thanks for the shirt love, it's one of the things I think Hush does very well. Also for the sympathy with DD. It's very tough, DH berates me because he's NHS management and I do appreciate the difficulty everyone is working under but she is really poorly and I am alone 24/7 trying to work out how to support her. The blood test still isn't back from the final test done 8 December. I can't get hold of our nurse who is probably out in the community vaccinating the elderly. Hey ho

These aren't the jeans I thought when I pulled them out of the drawer but I couldn't be bothered to dig around for the others. Last night I went through Stylebook to see items at or under £25 and found this jumper and a similar pair of jeans. But these were a bargain too. The trainers were more than the two together!

Had a dramatic day with Nutmeg the youngest cat yesterday and am now £470 lighter. She is now perfectly fine as she had constipation FFS but needed bloods, x ray, an enema ( she will never ever forgive me for that) and sedation. Bloody cats.

@OublietteBravo your Hobbs trousers are fab! They look great.

I too have cracked (slightly inspired by @Sooverthemill's hush top but also because my Boden coat has been returned so I feel justified in spending the refund...) I've ordered a Sophie dress and a green skirt from the hush sale. Both were things I've looked at before and good reductions (here I am justifying to myself!!)

Not today's photo but wearing this dress again from mint velvet. No belt today though.

Decided to add a new photo after all as I got a bit chilly so put a jumper on. Not sure if this works but I'm warmer now so that's the main thing!

I got bored of wearing the same jeans & leggings so decided to buy a dress.

I like dogstooth print so bought this dress from River Island which arrived today.

It's a bit snug but I'm in the middle of dieting so I'll wear either my cream Lipsy cardi or my Chanel style Zara cardi with it for a while.
It will go with opaques & long boots or ankle boots; the material is not thick so it can be worn in Spring too.

Also I got 15% off with Blue Light Card discount at River Island

I refer to this as my “Motherland” dress as Julia wears it in, I think, the very first episode when she meets with her boss.

DS is back to nursery today, so hopefully things will calm down a bit now.

Sorry to hear about Nutmeg, @Sooverthemill. She's very lovely, but appreciate that's not at all what you needed to have to deal with. One of my dogs is great at incurring enormous vet bills for relatively minor complaints. I totted up how much she's cost us over the last 6 years and it's astronomical. Bloody animal.

My hush order arrived today so I'm looking forward to trying them on in a bit!

Not sure about this jumper with the culottes, fully tucked in the jumper doesn't work.

My casual Friday isn't worth showing... I'm in Razorstorm leggings and an ancient hoodie of DH's... 😂

My hush purchases have arrived, though. I'm going to send the trousers back, I think, as they don't fit me brilliantly, but I'm in 2 minds about the jacket. I didn't love it initially, thought it was too oversized and DH said the collar looked odd (but he's a fashion philistine), but tried it on with a few outfits and now I think I like it... Would love your opinions! It was reduced but still £70 so I want to be sure I like it, although it feels like nice quality. Excuse the unbrushed hair and messy room!

Nails wise, I've just peeled them off when I had them years ago then had to wait for my nails to recover, have to say I never have them done now as found they made my nails to stiff and I caught them a couple of times and nearly ripped my while nail off, it permanently damaged my nail bed, they weren't even that long.

I like the jacket @toastfiend but is it worth £70? If you are unsure and might not wear it as much? That could be me being tight but I buy cheap or eBay if I want to experiment with a look and then invest in expensive once I'm more comfortable with that look.
