Oh, I'm so behind on this thread! Work has been stupidly busy and DS hasn't been at nursery, so it's been a bit balls to the wall/survival mode here. Everyone looks amazing, as ever. @OublietteBravo, I love, love, love your skirt today! I think you linked it a while back when I was looking for a sparkly skirt for Christmas? It's so lovely.

Thanks so much for the lovely outfit comments the other day, I was feeling a bit rubbish and they buoyed me up. Back in something very similar today as it was all to hand when I was scrambling to get dressed this morning.

I'm in admiration of everyone who is resisting spending. I'm afraid I can't say the same. I had a much lower tax bill than I was expecting (I did have it done by an accountant, it's not just that I've messed it up... 😂) and now I have money that essentially feels "free" because I've been putting it aside and mentally allocating it for my tax bill all year. I should do something sensible with it, like overpay the mortgage or put it in my pension pot, but I'm so tempted by so many beautiful clothes. I think I might allocate a little portion of it for myself, and put the rest towards boring but necessary stuff like mortgage over payments. I did buy a couple of bits from the Hush sale this morning, but that was using money from clothes I've just sold after a wardrobe clear out, so I don't feel too guilty about that.

@WaltzingBetty thanks so much! I never really feel like I have a style, sort of look like an overgrown toddler lots of days, so that's a huge compliment, thank you. On the dungarees front, Run & Fly might be another option? They've got a bit more structure than Lucy & Yaks and do give a better shape (although I don't find them quite as comfy). I have the opposite problem in that I'm quite flat-chested, though, so I don't really know if they'd be a good option or not, I'm afraid.

Wearing rose pink New Look jumper (soft, cuddly and warm) with beige long sleeved H&M Basic top underneath, and with M&S black jeggings (v comfy and warm) and black thermal M&S socks and sainsburys slippers.

Accessorized with some lovely handmade tiny silver earrings with a coloured stone earrings, studs but sort of drop.

@toastfiend I’d definitely put a bit aside to spend just on yourself! Self care is very important and as a mum to a toddler you often need ways of defining yourself rather than just being “mum”, if you know what I mean.

Today I have reverted to my old faithful - FatFace. I have a gorgeous dress I bought in the sales that I almost put on this morning, but thought it was a bit much to be working from home in. However I’ve now decided balls to that - I bought it so I’m damn well going to enjoy it, so I am resolved to wearing it tomorrow!

Fallen behind on the thread again too but my weekend outfits were pretty sloppy anyway! Had a parcel of thermal tights and leggings arrive from M&S today so I'm going to commit to wearing skirts or dresses all week. Have been in a bit of a jeans and jumper rut for the last while so need to mix it up a bit.

Everyone looks great as usual, love hearing about the outfits too. Today I'm wearing a new Hush T shirt and the coated jeans. Also loving these earrings - they are lightening bolts. Only a few more hours of isolation for us and then we are free! Can't wait!

My smaller sized L&Y's arrived today.

These are my first, and a bit of a shift for me. I'm not sure if they suit me. Should they be baggier?

I wouldn't wear them with these trainers or vest. These were just what i had on already.

Honest opinions please. DS16 reflex response was "get those off"

They look a good fit to me @waterpalava - i think a more fitted look is preferable with dungarees and you have an amazing figure.
As a rule of thumb if any of my kids or husband tell me not to wear something I wear it as often as possible

It was a definite wriggle to get them over my hips, so made me wonder. But they're really comfy once one. I think they are a better fit than the bigger size, and I think I'll keep them.

Great outfits all. Slightly milder here so can wear slightly lighter clothing. Skirt and top white stuff, cardigan primark.

Another day another pair of velvet joggers. So bloomin comfy and cosy! From Anthropologie, with Adidas Mando high tops, cashmere jumper from Autumn Cashmere and scarf from Alexander McQueen. Snow is away now, so I have everything crossed it’s going to get warmer..

@waterpalava - I think the dungarees look great on you. I don’t worry about whether or not DD (16) likes my outfits. Actually when she mentions that she likes something I worry that she might try and commandeer it. Apparently she’s really embarrassed that two of her friends think I’m quite cool

I’ve dug out a pair of longer boots today - a bit of a rarity this winter. I’m also learning that however many jumpers I have, I never seem to have quite what I’m looking for. Don’t really know what to do about that.

@MoiCnoi you look like how I wished I'd looked yesterday I think I need a jumper like that. And yes @OublietteBravo so many jumpers but never quite the right one, I also suffer that affliction.

Hate the jeans I'm wearing today, these are for the bin pile, anything remotely paper bag-ish make me look like an actual paper bag.

The only bit I like about my outfit is the citrine cocktail ring - I have a few gorgeous big rings which I like to wear because they are impractical and sparkle!

Can’t remember who said but teenagers know nothing about how a mature, gorgeous woman should dress!

Wet and warm and windy today ( which reminds me of geography lessons). I spent an hour in DDs room in the night going through all my outfit photos from 2019/20 winter and was reminded of how much I like these jeans

Having said that I quite like this jumper over this dress - I never really manage jumpers over dresses as it always seems to be uncomfortable or look really bulky, but I think this works ok.

@MrsBobDylan if it doesn't make you feel good get rid of it but the jeans look good. It sounds like you are in a place where nothing makes you feel good? I've been in that mindset and it's hard as you just feel awful

My next sale items have arrived still got some to try on after work but quickly tried them at lunch.

Not keeping any.

Dress is to big at the top. Trousers great shape but no stretch and not comfortable to sit down. Top great shoulders/arms but the fake leather look is just weird.

Might keep this dress could it be work appropriate???

Culottes the colour isn't doing it for me but unsure if I should try them will test them with other things.
