I really struggle to put outfits together and always have done. It's really helpful to see the suggestions for colours on here. I love olive green but it doesn't love me - I am very Marge Simpson in my coloring.

I am in black velour sweaty Betty joggers and the world's most creased long sleeved white t shirt with my lovely white and grey Ash trainers. I only have two rules for my kids which are:

1. Don't eat my sweets/biscuits
2. Don't tread on my white trainers

They do both repeatedly

@OublietteBravo I feel I need those boots very badly - I have been tracking some on eBay but have spent my money on another screen for home schooling (such a martyr).

Morning all. I’m trying to make Monday my “smart day”, so hair, make up and proper “work” outfit.

Dress - Hobbs

Feeling bleak today - DS hates home school so he's miserable, and I didn't sleep well last night because I was worrying about managing home school and working from home for the foreseeable. So decided to wear my favourite dress from mint velvet to cheer me up!

Hope you manage to get a nap later @Sooverthemill. I really like your green shirt, looks lovely on you. Your boilersuit looks great @OublietteBravo. I've never found one that looks right on me, I think it's because I have short legs 🤔

Thermals rule again:

• Uniqlo purple thermal top
• Uniqlo grey thermal leggings
• black gap leggings on top of those
• lime-green jumper, Ted Baker men's (fits my long arms better than women's ones)
• two pairs of socks, one knee-length chunky knit to pull up under my knee boots (black suede, Ecco) when I go out.

Morning all.. dreary start here but at least its not as cold as last week!

Comfy, practical clothes for me again today as DS is home from nursery for a second week, but this time it's because there's a Covid case at his nursery. One of those things, but having juggled him (inquisitive nearly 2 year old with no sense of danger) and work last week, I'm not looking forward to doing it again this week. Fortunately, work are understanding and DH is here most days and can share the burden. Those of you wfh and home schooling have my utmost admiration, I can't imagine how stressful it must be. At least DS doesn't need to learn anything specific. He's getting more TV time than I'd ever countenance usually, but no one's going to be marking his Spot the Dog knowledge or anything. I'm torn between love for Spot and his ability to keep DS entertained, and loathing for the sheer inanity at this point. Loathing wins right now because I've read about his trip to the supermarket 8 x so far today.

purple cable H&M jumper (from autumn/winter 2020), grey long sleeved tshirt (Tu Sainsburys), Tu black cord leggings, Tu beige and silver star thermal socks, Joules navy red and white stripe sox for a fox socks but they're the sort of bed socks ones and Totes navy and grey fur moccasins - not overly impressed with these! oh and gold snake shaped dangle earrings which have colours on them - new purchase and lovely!

Evening all took a bad quick photo of my outfit today before I rushed into work calls, think I look like I have woonky boobs which I don't think I have

Another sale purchase today - knitted dress from Pure.

I love the colour but feel it needs a belt or something so may have to look around for one as I’m not normally a belt person.

@OublietteBravo that's a good way to wear the dress, really nice. Love all the dresses! @toastfiend that sucks@PalacePaper sadly no nap just grumpy mummy all day!

I think the weather has turned milder so that's nice, but it's kind of wet too. Not raining just damp.
Hope everyone is okay, it feels very miserable generally around, neighbours unhappy with number of 'out of towners' who seem to be here and DH shocked by how many people he doesn't recognise on the dog walk.

I've been doing similar @OublietteBravo yesterday's dress I had a thin thermal top underneath it really does make a massive difference as sometimes even long sleeved dresses can be cold.

@CaveMum I kind of get what you are saying with the dress I have a similar style but in navy and a belt looks weird although might work. Another option could be a necklace and maybe a chunky bracelet possibly in gold, it's a beautiful dress & colour but kind of needs something to break it up a little.

@QueenPawPaws you don't look Scruffy

New birthday jumper again, only problem is that it's a drop shoulder so isn't great if it's cold & thermals look weird under it, so only good on a milder day.

I'm super busy as my husband tested positive for COVID yesterday (he's absolutely fine, no symptoms at all - it was a routine work test) but we are now in full throes of home school, work from home and desperately trying to exercise the dog in the back garden 😣
I had intended to post some outfits but not got round to it and can't leave the house anyway so mainly just comfy stuff for me.

Sorry to hear about your DH @Ellapaella. Hope it's just a mild case and he's over it quickly. I don't know what kind of dog you've got, but when we've had to isolate whilst waiting for test results a few times, ours have enjoyed scent work in the garden. They're 2 Pointers and very energetic and it kept them happy. Yet another thing to add to a to-do list, though, and it sounds like you're frantically busy as it is.

I'm feeling a bit down today. Work is manic and I don't feel like I'm being a very good Mum or a very good employee at the moment. I'm doing my best and work are understanding and I'm racking the hours up, but I'm just constantly split between 2 things. I know I'm absolutely not unique in that. It just hit home a bit more today. Poor DS is so bored as he can't leave the house until Monday, and DH and I are both working so I think he feels a bit ignored, bless him. We're very fortunate to have a garden and climbing frame, though, so I'll be wrapping up warm later to do a dog poo patrol (so glamorous!) before taking him out there.
