Gone for comfort as well just been for a walk now watching star wars attack of the clones. Whilst eating crisps and chocolate, hopefully the teens mood will improve 🤞 she's very grouchy.

They will go out of fashion soon and a cream coloured one would get grubby very quickly therefore need washing and get clumpy textured soon. IMHO 😉xx

In other news, there was quite a lot of water in the River Great Ouse today (with more rain forecast tonight). Fortunately the flood plains are doing their job and we live slightly up a hill.

@OublietteBravo a friend sent me this! Don't remember when the Great Ouse last did this quite so dramatically . Guessing the rowers are at home

DD is so very thoughtful. She got all her presents during November as she knew she would be wiped out by her tonsils op. Really lovely presents we each would have chosen ourselves I think. The top is attached. It’s crepe de chine with tiny bobbles embroidered and pin tucks. Will try on with proper clothes and put a photo up

@Sooverthemill - the rowers wouldn’t have made it to the boat house (and there wasn’t enough clearance between the river and the bridge for actual rowing). It’s a bit lower today.

We have actual sun - which seems to be a pretty rare occurrence. So we’ve been out for a walk.

No photo today spent all day in joggers and an old jumper cleaning the house.

Do have a flood photo for you my DMum lives in moorland that is a flood plain, she's stood in the driveway when she took this apparently the water is now at the edge of the drive, she's never flooded before even in 2007 but could be close this year.

This is what the road to towards Oxford is like luckily the road the goes the other way is okay but the water is high in the ditches along that road too

It's not been too bad storm wise here though lots of flooded roads and fields. We didn't get the much mooted power cut ( slightly disappointed as I had set up tea lights, matches and torches in each room all ready!) though well done to UKPowernet I guess ( because of DD we are a priority customer so get warning and text updates )
I have eaten far too much and feel a bit sick. I did my usual yoga this morning but felt so sludgy. We have to finish our leftovers today so I may just go for it and then bin the rest tonight! DD1 sent us £50 worth of really delicious vegan chocolates but oh my gosh that's a lot of chocolate and me and DD don't really like chocolate much. It won't last as it's that hand made stuff you have to keep in the fridge

My plan today is to finish one Booker nominated novel and start another plus wash DDs hair and do a wash load. That's enough isn't it? Oh and wash the flipping floors again as 2 dogs and 3 cats seem to trudge the entire field and beach in

Ooh I didn't credit my stuff, most importantly the trainers are my Christmas present vejas. They are so comfy even more than my other Veja and obviously I've been searching for another colour in the sales

Dyed one of my jumpsuits I actually like the finish but DH thinks it's a bit patchy, DD thinks it looks less like a decorator's suit only problem it's shrunk slightly but been wearing it damp and sitting down in it and it's stretching.

Dyed this jumper as well and it has made the pink a bit more vibrant which is what I was after

Hello all

It's been a while so hope you all had a lovely Christmas (as much as it can be at present). I haven't posted for ages as we seem to have been stuck in Tier 3 forever and to be honest I can't remember the last time I bothered changing out of dog walking gear ! Mud covering and all.

I've had a big wardrobe clear out so am determined from tomorrow I am going to make an effort again. Found so many clothes still with tags on !!! So popped on here for some inspiration. Lovely to see so many old faces ;-) and Christmassy outifts. Am browsing the Hush website and Sézane! Decided I need new knitwear lol.

And maybe I need a hamster too! @Sooverthemill

Jeans, docs, jumper, north face parka and hat today for a lovely walk. Have taken our docs down and the house feels all lovely.

@jilliwilliwoo I have actually just acquired a Teddy coat quite by accident and it's actually really smart & cosy...
What happened was that my sister bought the coat for my mum for Christmas but mum didn't like it; unfortunately my sister had lost the receipt so I just tried it on & it fitted me perfectly!
It's navy, £45 from Dorothy Perkins, above the knee, single breasted.
I don't own a smart coat & it does look smart compared to my usual puffa jacket.
So I wore it today with my jeans, jumper, boots & a scarf.

Will post a photo. I still think a cream Teddy coat could be a mistake in terms of getting marks on it but darker colours are fine.
It doesnt really worry me if it only lasts a season as it's not too expensive (I now have to pay my sister for it!).

I find myself living in my new Hush Meryl jumper at the moment - so warm and cosy and it is freezing out there 🥶
Anyone got any sale bargains? I've ordered a Jack Wolfskin long puffer coat as it was £60 off in the sale. One of those long sleeping bag type coats that make you feel like you're wearing a duvet
Apart from that I've been super restrained as I am actually in the process of having quite a bit of a makeover on the house at the moment so furniture and fancy lighting is what I'm saving for.
I do need a new eyebrow pencil, mascara and bronzer though so may have a bit of a shop around for those.

I'm really behind in posting which is pretty daft as there's not much else to do here in tier 4!

@Ellapaella I've ordered DH a suede jacket to replace his disgusting 25+ year old leather bomber which is so gross. He wouldn't wear an all Saints one so it's from Boden. And he got a new weird fish fleece for dig walking too. I've ordered a couple of NRBY jersey pieces as I love their quality and I would have bought them full price.

I'm looking very sporty which is so not me! I am looking forward to 2 January when I can start the new 30 day yoga programme but I don't actually 'exercise'. I do walk to the fridge in the garage I guess? Am planning more reading today if DD is well enough to be left to her own devices.

Bought this jumpsuit from Great plains bit it's to short in the body and cuts me in half when I sit down 🙄🤦‍♀️ so if any of you see something similar let me know as I love it.

Just sat in the park freezing even with loads of layers on and a coat that could be mistaken for a sleeping bag.

Freezing here recently so it's been cords and a charity shop or TKMaxx cashmere. Back to work today so Next charcoal pinstripe trousers and pure cashmere cardigan (from the charity shop)
