Will try & post pictures if I remember.
If I forget perhaps someone else could post.

I was really pleased with yesterday’s as my last 2 morning cleansers are running out and I don’t have any in my stash. I tried it this morning and really like it. I was a bit dubious from the blurb as it said it’s foaming which it fortunately isn’t. Smells lovely and left my skin feeling soft but not tight.

Today’s Ren - I like the brand but have so may eye creams to get through! I’m sorted for the year! I’m glad you all rate the product though, so won’t moan!

friendlyflicka · 19/12/2020 11:15

@chloechloe I find eye creams thoroughly boring and I am in my 50s so should appreciate them. I much preferred the lip one because that is new to me!

What saved me was reading a Korean beauty trend about 'eye cream for all over the face'. So then I just started using mine like that to get rid of them. My eyes actually seem less affected by age than my mouth. I think I smile too much.

Nc135 · 19/12/2020 12:55

The Liberty calendar is hotting up now Grin

SanFranBear · 19/12/2020 13:20

Nc135 - thanks so much for posting the pic! All of the bits and pieces look lush and I'm sorely tempted with a luxury calendar for next year as I can really see the joy of opening something special every day from this thread!

Thank you!!

MiaN · 20/12/2020 07:16

I love today's eye shadow. I have same brand in different shade and the quality is great. I think they should have it little earlier in the month in case people want to glam up for the odd trip outside the house :) or where permitted meal out

Polpette · 20/12/2020 07:18

I've been waiting since 4am and have finally caved and opened #20.

I'm really excited about today's eyeshadow. I've only tried it on my hand so far and wow! a little goes a VERY long way.

It's a good colour for me, has great coverage and feels silky.

The big test will be: does it stay in place all day, will it irritate my eyes/contact lenses and will it scatter glittery bits all over my face.

Hourglass products look so lovely but are really pricey. I'm not sure if it's just good marketing or whether the products live up to the cost so I'm very happy to finally have something to try.

Polpette · 20/12/2020 07:20

MiaN we crossed posts there. Reassuring to hear that you've had a good experience.

thecognoscenti · 20/12/2020 08:00

I like this! Very pretty. I'll mainly be wearing it around the house (thanks tier 4) but love it nonetheless

MiaN · 20/12/2020 08:16

I apply eye shadow before the rest of my makeup and usually wear eye shadow primer. I think the quality is great, and I find applying using finger best! I will be tying it today

Nc135 · 20/12/2020 08:21

I have used this eyeshadow before and it is great! I have the pink one. Good to have a brown.

Chickydoo · 20/12/2020 08:30

Hourglass eye shadow
I don't normally wear eye shadow, so not sure about this one.

@Polpette is it very pink on ? Not sure whether to reserve for a swap (in case I won’t try it). I normally wear more muted colours.
It does look fab though.
I’m going to pop on my parkway green eyeliner later, out plans are cancelled 😢 so we’re going to ramp up our day with Christmas films and crafts.

Orcadianrythyms · 20/12/2020 09:16

It looks very sparkly but I'll give it a go!

Thanks @Chickydoo for the thread, I have enjoyed this thread more than the products and whilst I'm probably one and done with Liberty calendar, I will miss checking in. It's been a bit of light relief when I've been struggling after a very tough year. Thank you all.

Housewife2010 · 20/12/2020 09:16

I have four of those scattered light eyeshadows and they are beautiful. My favourite is Vivid - the green shade. They are great patted onto the centre of the lid with your finger over your usual eyemakeup for very quick wearable glamour.

MiaN · 20/12/2020 09:20

this and the eye cream are one of the 3 products I knew I am going to love & use and I would purchase myself. I love it!

MiaN · 20/12/2020 09:30

I am using it without other eye shadow today, pat at the center of the eye lid with finger and blend it after across the lid. It's shimmery but not over the top and sheer and I love how it looks on

mynameiscalypso · 20/12/2020 09:40

@thecognoscenti

I like this! Very pretty. I'll mainly be wearing it around the house (thanks tier 4) but love it nonetheless
Ha, same! DS was awake from 3am - 7.30am so I opened today's quite early as a way to get me through. Keen to try it later although it's a similar shade to something I use already.
Polpette · 20/12/2020 10:02

@Pomegranatespompom not pink at all when it's on, a lovely golden brown smoke. I absolutely love it.

All I did was dab on a small amount with my finger then gently blended it out. Looks like I've spent ages on my eyes rather than seconds.

This has gone to the #1 favourite product so far.

Stokey · 20/12/2020 12:06

I don't normally wear eye make-up and am not going anywhere this Christmas - tier 4 & a positive test for one of my DDs.

This was on my probably won't use list. But your comments have tempted me to give it a go. So will try and add some sparkle to a slightly depressing Christmas.

Housewife2010 · 20/12/2020 12:28

Stokey
I'm not leaving the house today and I've already given myself sparkly disco eyes! Go for it. 🎇

Polpette · 20/12/2020 13:00

@Stokey sorry to hear that your DD has Coronavirus, hope they have a swift recovery.

I'm in tier 4 too, it's rotten.

I wore my eyeshadow on the dog walk this morning. I figured I might as well glam up whenever I get the chance.

Polpette · 20/12/2020 15:02

Thought I'd report back on the staying power of the eyeshadow:

Long muddy dog walk, got caught in a downpour

Home to bathe the dog, water flying everywhere

A quick dash around the house doing chores

A full and very sweaty Body Pump work out

Eyeshadow still in place!

I should add that I never ever wear make up when I work out, I just figured it would be a good test.

Off to remove everything now, I'm desperate for a shiny clean face.

imp2007 · 20/12/2020 15:12

Wow love love love the eyeshadow very pretty and nice to sparkle it up a bit even if not going anywhere exciting right now!!! 13 year old DD also loves and has just asked for some for Christmas!! Also pleased with yesterday's eye cream mine ran out a couple of weeks ago glad I held off buying a replacement! Agree that calendar really ramping up now had some lovely things this last week or so. Am using the M and G balm lots too super useful x

MabelMoo23 · 20/12/2020 15:30

Am LOVING the Hourglass!!! Really pleased with this and it’s one of the items i was looking forward to.

I actually already have the Victoria Beckham lid lustre in honey and I think the Hourglass one is far better, bit more creamier than the VB one

So I’m adding it to list along with the Venn, AB cream, and Dear Polly as a hit. I also love the Bum Bum cream, more for the smell than anything

MabelMoo23 · 20/12/2020 15:30

Oh yes and like the M&G balm as well
