Can I see your not diamond engagement rings?

Having a chat with DP about what I'd like, he really wants to be able to choose a ring himself and surprise me with it, but aside from not being much of a diamond fan, I have no idea on style, stone etc.

So what have you got!

My DH bought me this sapphire ring for our 10th anniversary. Absolutely love it!!!

I’ve got an Opal as they’re my favourites! Love Carrie Elizabeth too, just wish they did more silver.

Mine is silver and blue topaz, by William White of Falmouth. I absolutely love it. DH has just commissioned an eternity ring to match.

I wish Carrie Elizabeth did more sapphire! I would get a right hand ring to match my engagement ring in a heartbeat. She seems to prefer more green and red tones.

One of these days I'm going to get something Opal from there though. They have a sale on for Black Friday and I'm sorely tempted.

Green Sapphire ( symbolises trust, loyalty and integrity-sapphire is my birth stone) two diamonds in tear drop settings in the shoulders and then the lines join to form the oval symbolising our lives coming together. All set in unplated white gold to give a warm light look. All fair traded.
We designed it with Tom at the Primrose Hill studio of Harriet Kelshall.
I needed a small rub over setting because of my job. It is so personal and I adore it. I also have very small hands so bigger rings look wrong.

DH chose it for my 40th birthday and our 1st wedding anniversary as we had a quickie registry do and so never really got engaged. I absolutely adore it, and it gets a few comments.

Ooh I can join in. Mines garnet set in rose gold, love them. We had them made by an independent jeweller.

Opal

Padparadscha sapphire with a diamond halo. I adore it. DH sadly passed away a month ago but I will wear it forever.

Mine is v.similar to this but with a paler ruby, more pink. It’s a 1920s antique one from a small jewellers in Sussex. Second the advice on going for second hand/antique.

Mine is sapphire but I remember when shopping I was leaning towards a tanzanite ring - it's such a beautiful stone.

Excuse the poor photo I'm very left handed. I love my sapphire eternity style engagement ring. It always reminds me of my cats tail.

I have diamonds but if I were to pick another I'd have a pear shaped ruby with a halo of diamonds.

Mine was an aquamarine between 2 smaller diamonds - very simple and beautiful.

I love Rust Jewellery - quite a lot of diamonds but fair trade and really beautiful and unusual. Mine is vintage and a semi-precious yellowish quartz instead of a diamond but very like a lot of theirs in style. I remember going into a huge jewellers and being told they did four styles of ring and it was all about the size and quality of the diamond and trying to upsell on our budget and just being like so it’s not the one, it’s the one of four that everyone’s got!

Pink sapphire and diamond ring which my DH bought for my birthday a couple of years ago ♥️. It's very similar in style to my actual engagement ring which is emerald, but it needs adjustment, so I've been wearing this until I find a jeweller to fix it.
