Can I see your not diamond engagement rings?

Having a chat with DP about what I'd like, he really wants to be able to choose a ring himself and surprise me with it, but aside from not being much of a diamond fan, I have no idea on style, stone etc.

So what have you got!

So I have a diamond ring, but I do love Fenton and Co and they have some gorgeous rings with ruby, sapphire, emeralds etc - might give you some inspiration? I have other (non engagement) rings from there and they are beautiful.

I have a vintage 1930s sapphire ring (it does have baguette-cut diamonds around it) bought from an antique fair in Venice.

You could also look for inspo at high end designers like Boodles, VCA, Tiffany’s, Bulgari, Chopard, Cartier, Boucheron etc.

I really like the Faberge collection of coloured engagement rings too and they’re not too bad price wise. I’d go with one of theirs if I didn’t want a diamond.

Ooh look on the Carrie Elizabeth website. She does some beautiful rings in gold vermeil but will remake them in solid gold at request. I literally want everything on her website.

I cant photo it this evening but I still love my engagement ring, despite being long divorced. It is a baguette cut emerald with 2 triangle diamonds. I tried other colour gemstones (rubies, sapphires) but neither suited. I didnt want a diamond solitaire.

I don't wear it to take a picture of, but mine is almost identical to this. It's a sapphire with a white gold band

Mine is very similar rottiemum except with a cluster on each side instead.

Cost buttons, lol. The sapphire is lab created. But actually looks really rich in terms of colour and nobody knows its because its a lab sapphire except me. Some natural sapphires can be a bit dark, that's just normal variation.

2nd the Carrie Elizabeth rec. I absolutely adore her stuff. Would buy literally everything.

This is my engagement ring before I had it re sized. Second hand but 4 carats in total. Vintage. You get a lot more for your money in the second hand market. York has lots of beautiful shops selling vintage rings.

@Pops1985 another stunner! A lot of you seem to have sapphires, I think I might be leaning towards them- I have a few bits of sapphire jewellery as its my birthstone. The Ruby one is gorgeous too though!

I have a verragio ring who sell the band, you choose the centre Stone. You can have anything. I love this one
