What are you all wearing/buying to stay warm outdoors?

Ozark is true to size

LightOfAThousandStars · 26/11/2020 09:53

Thanks @Temporarything that's another one I am going to try out, have a North Face one on the way bit this looks like a good alternative and more budget friendly

Correct me if I’m remembering wrong but isn’t Canada Goose coyote fur?
I find it pretty disturbing that anyone could go and walk their presumably much loved pet dog while wearing a coat made from a wild, dead dog...

I have a trespass coat I’ve been wearing 3 years - doesn’t have to be expensive

Runoutofideas45 · 26/11/2020 16:19

The one I have is a parka 79.99 on Trespass and there are people in the reviews claiming to have worn it to Iceland etc ...

The island or the supermarket?

That’s a bit extreme. Supermarkets aren’t usually that cold!

I’ve just tried Didriksons Nicolina parka and I ordered a 16 as that’s my usual size in Trespass or Mountain Warehouse jackets. It was very big, I’m about a 42 inch bust and 35 waist and I could have got 2 really chunky jumpers on underneath. It was very warm, I’ve also tried Erika parka from Didriksons and didn’t like the huge hood. I was disappointed on both of these coats with quality of the zip, as they were both longline coats they had two way zipper so you could undo when sitting down, on both Erika and Nicolina they were very hard to do up and I kept getting zip caught. I’m not sure if it’s just me as my husband had no trouble, I’m not arthritic or anything like that . For the money I would expect better. It’s a shame as the Nicolina parka was great really warm with soft faux fur lining and very long, past my knee at 5ft 7. I’m looking at Seasalt Janelle now but sold out everywhere in black.

@MichelleofzeResistance. Are you talking about a waxed Barbour or one of the newer ones?

Annasgirl · 11/12/2020 11:38

I bough the most amazing, fabulous long water resistant puffer coat from Superdry. It is their microfibre duvet coat - and it is like a duvet. But also waterproof. It is long but the zip opens up at the bottom so you don't end up hobbling and it is super stylish.

They have it in black and navy - I bought the navy. It is not feather which I love as I am allergic to feathers.
