Does anyone have an really good lip balm recommendations? My lips are really dry, I found some Vaseline in my draw so using that at the moment.

I swear by this!

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/11/2020 23:05

Another Burts bees fan.

bravousa · 07/11/2020 23:12

@frugalkitty

Blistex in the tube, fab stuff.
Second that 100%
2Kidsinatrenchcoat · 07/11/2020 23:13

Lansinoh (pure lanolin) or lanolips (lanolin based with some added stuff) Lanolips do different flavours and tinted ones etc which I like but they’re all very sticky

Albus and flora is amazing and non-sticky but also expensive

helloxhristmas · 07/11/2020 23:18

All lip 'balms' are awful. They don't penetrate and actually moisturise. You need Blistex intensive moisturiser

Chica1990 · 07/11/2020 23:25

I second lanolips, it’s the only thing that worked for me

TheFlis12345 · 07/11/2020 23:29

Carmex in the tin. It’s the best by far.

Lndnmummy · 07/11/2020 23:36

I have a couple. Eucerin is great, Norwegian is good too. But best is Sisley. The price is ridiculous. I’m embarrassed to type it. It’s £50.00. I know I know. It’s insane. I have roseaca, dry lips and am allergic to most lipsticks. Sisley solves it all.

Grapesoda7 · 07/11/2020 23:42

I use loads of lip balms, the best one I've used is O'Keefes lip repair. It's a lip salve in a bright orange tube.

They also make the working hands hand cream in the green tub.

Muffinhead12 · 07/11/2020 23:49

I agree with Carmex, I get ridiculously dry and chapped lips that can get soo sore especially when I have a cold, Carmex is the only lip balm I've found that works for my lips.

Tweetypietwo · 08/11/2020 00:08

Agree with blistex medplus in a blue pot! Only thing that works for me.

BigBrows · 08/11/2020 00:21

I've used most of these recommendations but what I found solved it was taking L-Lysine daily.

ScienceSensibility · 08/11/2020 00:53

I’m a lifelong fan of Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream.

I’ve tried every lip balm mentioned on this thread, and a few dozen more over the years and EA8 is the Holy Grail.

I keep a stock, buy it whenever I see it, and panic if I look like running out. It’s magnificent. I also have zero lines around my lips, and I am at an age where I should have!
It’s fantastic, OP, worth every penny.

HappyGirl86 · 08/11/2020 00:57

Lansinoh nipple cream.....since I've discovered this for lips I've never bought another lip balm. It lasts agggessss and works so well. I think I've tried every lip balm going (slight exaggeration!) but nothing works as well as nipple cream.

GrimDamnFanjo · 08/11/2020 01:13

Carmel, nuxe. I also have a tinted pawpaw which is nice.

CordylineKiwi · 08/11/2020 01:29

Burts bees honey flavour
Petit Marseillais yellow tube

NowWhatUsernameShallIHave · 08/11/2020 04:35

I had same problem
I now use the Nuxe reve de miele in the pot

I used the by terry on (£35!!), eos, Vaseline, carmex, kiehls and blistex none of which worked

Sithee · 08/11/2020 06:08

First Aid Beauty Ultra Lip Repair. It’s a soothing moisturizer rather than a balm. It sorts out my sore chapped lips better than anything else I’ve tried

IWouldLikeToKnow · 08/11/2020 06:19

Definitely Nuxe in the pot

Housewife2010 · 08/11/2020 07:35

Definitely Nuxe Reve de Miel too. I have a tendency to dry, irritated lips and an allergy to lanolin (Carmex, Eight Hour Cream and obviously Lanolips all contain lanolin). I love the Nuxe in the jar and have repeat bought it so many times.

Tinks15 · 08/11/2020 07:42

Oh wow thanks everyone for all your comments - so many recommendations! I shall be having a little google today.

Liz Earle.

towers14 · 08/11/2020 07:47

Another for Elizabeth Arden 8 hr, both in a tube and the actual lip balm. Been using for years, never have dry lips. One in the bedroom and one in the car

sandgrown · 08/11/2020 07:51

After reading recommendations on here I bought Nuxe for my daughter and she loves it . For me just original Lypsyl.

Stuffofawesome · 08/11/2020 07:54

Hurraw ones are lovely
