I fancy this. Suspect even in a sale it won't be reduced but waiting to see...

jacket

NoCureForLove · 27/11/2020 12:39

In the dull gold.

Craftycorvid · 27/11/2020 13:48

NoCure I think there’s something in that with your clothes matching your job! My epiphany came when I realised I hated my (office-y staid) work clothes sooo much and they looked nothing like my off duty clothes. Now I wear the same things regardless.

Countmeout · 27/11/2020 13:51

I fancy that in the Dull gold tooo @NoCureForLove. I thought it just might go into sale - well eventually at least, I have similar in navy and a khaki type green and have worn both so much before it got too cold. They really pull you together. Well pull me together. I take a lot of pulling together some days. . I bought them when they were reduced, think they were £85.

NoCureForLove · 27/11/2020 14:02

Yes Crafty, I think that' right. I now look the same (within a spectrum of smartness) all the time and no longer have that feeling of my clothes not matching with how I want to look. I also give far fewer fucks as I get older about pleasing other people / conforming to other people's ideas of what I need to look like...

Thanks for the intel - I will hold out a bit longer for a reduction on the jacket. I want something that shape / utilitarian to wear with denim. I wear denim jackets loads - but not quite up to double denim...

NoCureForLove · 27/11/2020 14:03

These are the jeans I'm wearing

Saurus72 · 30/11/2020 07:24

Toast archive sale live now! I looked through but nothing’s tempting me Smile

SewingBeeAddict · 30/11/2020 07:33

Same here Saurus

AFingerofFudge · 30/11/2020 07:49

I had a lot of trouble...added stuff as I saw it, £720......took out some beautiful but not essential items...£320....finally pared it down to £198Blush
To be fair there are a few presents in there (socks and baskets)
I did think I wasn't going to spend any money on myself until the post Christmas sale so now I'll have to dig out a few things to sell on eBay so I have some money to spend in the real sale!!!

Laska2Meryls · 30/11/2020 08:12

Ooo! Well done Saurus ...I just bought some felt slippers, 2 wool tencel tops and the ikat trousers Grin

I was very cheered to get the sale email Grin
I ordered the navy Dhuggie, Navy Kisawa nightie, Indian print flannel gown, fair isle navy sweater, herringbone blouse and ginger cord dressBlush
Some will need to go back!!

Countmeout · 30/11/2020 08:50

A knitted skirt. I may have to spend the rest of my life standing up , I don’t imagine it will be great for sitting in case it rubs or bags 😳 in my defence I had PayPal money which as we all know means I’ve spent nothing.

simplificate · 30/11/2020 09:17

Hello Toast lovers! Sorry if this has been discussed but I've been avoiding these threads since the last epic sale. Does anyone know how the needlecord tiered dresses run? Length and width wise

Moominmammaatsea · 30/11/2020 10:01

I usually curse the winter 6.30am alarm call (elder daughter has to leave home for high school at 7am) - but not today. This early bird definitely caught a few juicy worms!

I managed to order the Indian print flannel gown, the blue and white stripy block tshirt, pull-on cords in navy, the Boro merino wool scarf in navy (I have the grey and I wear it every day in autumn and winter as it is scarf perfection). Christmas money all spent. Job done. Happy bunny.

Gonegrey31 · 30/11/2020 10:08

Having promised myself I would not be tempted, I've bought the Japanese indigo jacket from last winter - never thought it would ever appear again...
Have already bought lots of the summer dresses that are now on sale again. Really recommend the sleeveless navy/slate/orange print one - I've worn mine so much and have often been asked by strangers about it.
Happy shopping everyone! When will this season's clothes be on sale?

Saurus72 · 30/11/2020 10:43

My resolve lasted 3 hours 🙄. Just bought this skirt www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+sale+skirts/c3mbb/wool+linen+wrap+skirt.htm

I ordered and returned in last year’s Christmas sale because I was buying too many other things but it’s lovely, I have lots of jumpers to wear with it plus I will wear it now, wfh and when I go back to the office. Not exciting but hopefully a wardrobe workhorse.

ToastCosILoveIt · 30/11/2020 12:38

This thread is dangerous: having been very circumspect and only buying the Kate Sheridan bag, I went back in and ordered the ginger cord dress following @AmethystMoonShine's post and now I am eyeing up the wrap skirt based on @Saurus72's post. I have so much Toast stuff, I wear it virtually every day!

Saurus72 · 30/11/2020 12:45

Sorry 🙂

AmethystMoonShine · 30/11/2020 13:07

Yes, sorry @ToastCosILoveIt Blush

ToastCosILoveIt · 30/11/2020 13:13

Well @AmethystMoonShine and @Saurus72, I have to be grateful to you really for your impeccable style and taste which is spurring me on. Grin. I haven't bought the skirt yet: assuming it is true to size?

On another note, has anyone actually purchased and wears the silk velvet dress - the one that comes in caper and orange? I am so tempted but I am busty and wonder if it is really a dress for the smaller of chest?

Saurus72 · 30/11/2020 14:16

@ToastCosILoveIt The skirt is true to (non-Toast) size. Quite roomy in the hips but quite small on the waist, like most Toast skirts IME. I usually size down 2 sizes for Toast dresses in comparison.
