Hi also checking in! Hoping there's a sale soon as I really like the look of the black and white check dress 👗

mizu · 03/11/2020 07:31

Marking place.

Missed out on another TOAST cord dress on eBay last night but did purchase a very lovely TOAST knee length A line black denim skirt so I feel a little better Grin

AFingerofFudge · 03/11/2020 08:00

Morning everyone! Thanks laska for the new thread!
Not Toast but with regards to a discussion on the last thread, I noticed this morning that John Lewis has 20% off their cashmere.

Craftycorvid · 03/11/2020 22:10

Latest eBay: Ashley jeans. 😬. And I have literally just cleared out my excess denim 🤷‍♀️ I’m banking on Toast’s usual tendency to run large and these are an 8.

Sorry for the double posts - my phone/MN went a bit weird on me last night.

Craftycorvid · 04/11/2020 13:53

So the tiered needlecord dress arrived. Perfect and doesn’t swamp me (which I’d feared) though a 10 would have been too big.

Fortherosesjoni70 · 04/11/2020 18:20
@OublietteBravo - thank you so much!

@AuldFox - apologies for confusion - the washing label is for the needlecord dress

how can I not iron that?? It sounds a bit mad!
Iron it inside out and on a cooler setting. If it dowsnt iron well, gently increase the heat.
Cord is hardy but it can kind of shiny on bits sometimes.

faustina · 04/11/2020 18:46

@Craftycorvid - which dress is that please? Can't find it on the website

@Fortherosesjoni70 - I'm just about to have a go - fingers crossed!

@Laska2Meryls I've found it really wearable - it's not dressy at all - especially once you roll the sleeves up. I've been wearing it with my Ivar indigo jacket and a pair of clogs. First time I've enjoyed wearing a dress for so long!

Fortherosesjoni70 · 04/11/2020 19:20

Does anyone have the gorgeous Toast alpaca oversized cardigan?
If you do, what colour have you got and what size are you and what size did you buy?
I am loving the aubegine colour and the ginger. Debating over them both! Very expensive but got birthday money so thinking of splurging.
Thanks!

Faustina. I don’t think it’s current stock - got it on eBay. I’m sure that dress was on their website only recently though. They must go through their stock really quickly!

Fortherosesjoni70 · 04/11/2020 20:45

Well the aubergine it is..in medium. It will probs arrive Friday or Saturday. Looking forward to receiving it now.
@faustina - Hope you ironed your dress successfully!

Craftycorvid · 04/11/2020 20:47

Just looking at the Kin cord dress and the one I have is somewhat similar: 3/4 sleeves, button placket and full tiered skirt. The main difference from the Kin one is that it has a shirt-style collar not a ‘grandad’ style one.

faustina · 04/11/2020 21:11

@Craftycorvid - sounds nice!

@Fortherosesjoni70 - it worked perfectly thanks! Looking forward to wearing it again - though not drying it flat next time I wash it - that was a bit of a pain!

@Laska2Meryls - oh yes, perhaps I will try that tomorrow - thank you! I'm thinking of trying the pale blue one so it can go towards that..

Countmeout · 05/11/2020 10:44

@Craftycorvidi think I know the dress, it’s lovely? What colour is yours.? Have I missed that?

Craftycorvid · 05/11/2020 11:09

Mine’s in ginger, which is a nice warm rust colour (had a favourite dress in that colour as a child and I think I’m regressing Grin).

Countmeout · 05/11/2020 18:39

That’s a lovely colour @Craftycorvid. Will regress with you I had a cord dress from Wallis at 19 in a similar colour 🤦‍♀️

MaizeBlouse · 06/11/2020 08:02

Boo I missed out on the Kin cord dress in my size Sad if anyone decides they don't like theirs and its in a 10 or 12 then let me know!!

Also holding out on some purchases for sale time. I've got my eye on the wool gabis (only drawback is that they are dry clean only and I have a baby and a toddler...) and the linen gingham trousers.

What would you say this style of clothing is? Sort of utility? Also other brands that people like that are in a similar style are most welcomed please!

MaudesMum · 06/11/2020 08:14

Oooh - Toast have started doing a series of Christmas draws (?) on their website - a package of nice stuff on offer each week for the next five weeks. It obviously means they capture your data, but then they've got mine (and probably everyone else's) already...

mizu · 06/11/2020 09:12

Yes, already entered Grindid it last year too thinking I might win but no, not a sausage from them.
