Not Toast related but I thought some of you might be interested to know that the new Ghost/Marks & Spencer collaboration has gone live this morning. There’s a gorgeous smocked prairie dress in a striking ditsy print. Just saying..,

@Craftycorvid they don't include packing slips anymore, nor return labels, it's all done online. The dispatch email lists both items in one package. No reply as of yet...

I don’t think Toast will go before Christmas . At least not until maybe the week before. John Lewis maybe but nothing Toast on there I want I think.

I haven't looked on Toast at John Lewis recently but I think a lot is sold out - they do usually do Black Friday though don't they?

@luggageandbags - that's very annoying about the cardigan! Have you tried looking online at the orders to see if they were both shipped? Hope you find it. If not though, they do their restocks very early each morning and there's usually quite a lot so you could always try to re-order?

I looked at that smocked dress @Moominmammaatsea - it's nice, but I was annoyed at how little detail there was about it. Can't work out how it fastens, or if it has pockets for instance. I don't suppose you've seen it?

The old Ghost things I have from years ago are viscose and they're fine - have lasted forever and still look as good as new!

@faustina Thanks. It is definitely lost, supposedly it was on the same dispatch. They have at least got back to me and have started investigating. Thanks for the tip off re early morning restocks though, there's a shirt I would like to try on, hoping someone returns it.

I’ve ordered the smocked frock and the star print midi/maxi dress. Easy to return if they’re not the real deal but the fashion press is going wild for this range so I thought I’d order quickly and not prevaricate to avoid a sell-out.

I’m hoping that the dresses will live up to the hype and be on a par with my original Ghost dresses purchased for an absolute song at their sample sales in the late 90s.

@Moominmammaatsea - the woman who started Ghost - I forget her name - she used to make stuff for M&S before collaborations were a thing - really good simple separates, and I have some and wear them still, as well as some Ghost tops from the nineties too I think. They're a thick, weighty viscose - hang beautifully, and you can do almost anything to them and they still look new. They're also brilliant for taking on holiday as they fold up really small

@faustina, I’ll name that fashion designer in one...Tanya Sarne. Yes, I know the pieces you mention, pull-on midi-length skirts in black and white and matching tops - I think I even owned some. In a previous life, I may have worked in fashion PR for M&S, back in the heyday, and people used to laugh when I told them what I did and suggest I had the world’s easiest job. How the mighty are fallen.

@Moominmammaatsea - yes that's her. I wonder what happened to her? I must admit it's been ages since I bought anything from M&S - even knickers. I used to get my shampoo and conditioner there and pick it up next day at the local branch, but that closed so even though the click and collect is as good as John Lewis, it's a ten mile drive to pick up now - that's why I haven't bothered with the Ghost dress. I did order this to try on though - dress . that must have been a fun job!

ooh hello gain , I haven't been buying (except christmas presents,..)so have had nothing to post .. as waiting for the Toast sale, but the Ghost stuff is tempting....

Actually not true I did buy a Kin navy and khaki sweatshirt... not very exciting but have worn it loads already !! Also some boots from Celt and co , a couple of weeks ago but they are still on backlist

....still hanging in for a Toast sale with list at the ready..
Id have bought the table gifts if I had been in time though

Not bought anything much either except for a pair of second hand (but hardly worn) dark brown blundstones. Have mole/ brown colour ones and wear them all the time at work with my TOAST dresses hoping they'll arrive in the post today.

So, I scored a ‘Franca’ dress on eBay - a sort of slate blue/rust check. The 8 I was stalking eluded me but I got a 10. It’s actually fine worn a bit looser, especially as there isn’t a side zip! It’s a pull-on style. It looked a tad ‘shrunk in the wash’ on the very tall model so on little old me it’s about the right length. Thanks for the advice.

I also scored a navy blue oversized merino/cashmere cardigan on eBay .

@mizu - I picked up the Kin dress and it's brilliant! Almost better than the needlecord one - also much cheaper! I'll try it on again tomorrow in the daylight but I think the colour is beautiful so far

I'm off to look at the price match rules to see if I keep it and can get a price match if it goes down in price for Black Friday. Either way it'll be Dress number 3 for me
