@Laska2Meryls that skirt is gorgeous, thanks for posting. What’s the top of the waist like, is it very gathered? I’ve hourglass so a little bit wary of gathered skirts but her designs look beautiful.

Saurus its elasticated but not overly gathered.. She has a size chart. I am more of an inverted triangle and so waist large in proportion to hips. But emailed her and she made the waist a bit looser for me. They are all made to order so I am sure she can with you as well. The skirt and trousers are a 12 .

Just to say saurus that Linen skirt is unlined, (but thick linen) .. I do really like the tencel ones also.. I think the Viridian one would be ffab..

John lewis has next to nothing now. I suppose eveything sold out pretty quick. Toast stuff isn't that interesting. Really after some lovely long sleeved tops. Not fussed for the ones on there atm.
Love the garment washed ones.

Yes disappointed so far with the sale. I thought some of the archive stuff might pop up again.

Maybe they haven't much new stuff in the light of unncertanties? Or maybe they are delaying Spring stuff moving it back later because they are not sure of uptake with covid? I dont ever remember it being such a poor choice. The vast majority of things aren't on sale. They did do the archive sale but it was for kindred members. I am one but i didn't receive an invite. No idea why not.

It was a presale. I think the link was posted. There were a few archive things on then.

Yep, I imagine it is due to COVID. New things have dropped on the website at strange times so I would think they just have to take stuff as it comes in. I also think perhaps they’re suffering from a lot of the new clothes on the site not being shown on models which makes it harder to order.

Absolutely. I really like to see things on. Its very hard to judge. I really hate is especially on other sites with jewellery. I like to see it on so I can see how big something is or how small it is. It is actually hard to judge.

I think JL jumped the gun a bit with some of their Toast reductions... Bought the Emma Tee inn navy and pumpkin and see that the pumpkin one is back up to full price .. ( the one I ordered is a bit big on me).
But also received the half price Mira striped jumper and its fab !! Too dark to take a photo atm

My JL order was cancelled! I got an email to say it was on its way to Waitrose, and then a text to say it 'isn't available to collect today' and if I want to reorder to text them back, or I can ask for a refund. I don't really understand that - unless they've caught the 'stock issues' from Toast. Very pissed off anyway!

How odd! I got my pumpkin Emma tee today plus the hush black skirt. Not opened yet as I am just back from the shops. Dont understand JL and the emma top. It was reduced earlier.

They also did this during lockdown. I got a the Indigo side button dress for £42 when it was full price on the Toast website.

My JL order was honoured and I picked up my side button trousers size 12 at the JL collection point today.
They are absolutely perfect and very pleased to get them for £62.50.
I might get another pair full price as they fit so well and make me look slim

Merry Christmas everyone! I struck lucky in the JL Toast sale and ordered the Anja needle cord shirt, Jakob striped shirt and pleated needle cord dress in slate. Oh, and the half sleeve lemon stripe T-shirts x 2. The t-shirts are wide but wearable under my dungarees and denim pinafores and as a layer under my Fairisle jumpers. I’m really please with everything.

I thought the actual Toast sale was incredibly disappointing so I’ve not really bothered perusing properly since it went live.

Templetree can you clue us as to who you were previously?

My Emma tees ( also got the navy but in S and surprised that its not that small ) from JL were half price .. I now wish that I had sized down in the pumpkin one ( got L) but its fine for half price..

I have a navy Emma which I bought in the summer and they are very swingy aren't they

@Moominmammaatsea - that sounds like a great haul. I like the Anja shirt very much but didn't buy because I have the kin shirt in the same colour and fabric.

Just got another email from John Lewis who said the earlier emails were a mistake and my stuff is waiting for me at Waitrose after all - hurrah! It's the lemon striped tee and the slate/saffron one - and a couple of pairs of JL cashmere lined gloves which I always buy in the sale - I have reynauds and they're the only gloves that work for me

My Toast stuff has made it over and should arrive tomorrow. Any thoughts if anything more should drop shortly? Or do we think that’s it. Missed John Lewis entirely.

It wouldnt have been hard to miss it. They didn't have much left in stock presale anyway. @Laska2Meryls my emma cotton top is a medium and it is fine. I think the small would be fine too. I have one that i got in the sale in summer in a large. Its ok too but a bit big in the shoulders.

@faustina, yes, it was a bit of a panicked afterthought/fear-of-missing-out buy, but, actually, I really like everything and they’re definite keepers. I’m even more pleased now I’ve checked the Toast site and the dress is still full price!

I’d forgotten that I’d also ordered a couple of the charcoal grey wool tencel long-sleeve base layers in the Toast sale. I had a fair few of these tops collected in the sales over previous years but I’d passed them on to my mum who is stricken with severe arthritis. Not the most exciting purchase in the world but I know that I will absolutely wear them to death as they tick all my boxes: non-fussy/stylish/warm/long in the body/long sleeves (my arms are so long I think I may be more closely related to our ape ancestors than the majority of the human race!)
