@faustina, that is so kind of you, thank you for thinking of me.

Yes, the Kin funnel neck comes up very big, i have the small and am a busty 12 but could have sized down.

Moominmammaatsea · 06/12/2020 18:23

@Laska, I love that outfit on you! You definitely have a knack for pairing Kin with Toast. Was it you who inspired the sale of about a million cord tiered dresses? Maybe that’s why JL sent you your handwritten letter! You’ve probably singlehandedly saved John Lewis. Grin

@ToastCosILoveIt, I’m meant to receive the Solovair Mary Jane shoes in a size 5 tomorrow; if they don’t fit my preteen, or me, then I’m happy to send them on to you to try?

Moominmammaatsea · 06/12/2020 18:24

Oops, highlighted name fail, sorry Laska

Laska2Meryls · 06/12/2020 19:51

Moomin thanks , but no that was Faustina. I hope you enjoy the Toast biscuits thing tomorrow.. I like the idea but feel too awkward / embarrassed/ shy to join in those online things .. I dont know why really🤷‍♀️...id love to but ...

I wish we could just watch it ...

Moominmammaatsea · 06/12/2020 20:10

I think you can just watch it - check out the website. Also, it’s camera off so you are not on display. Honestly, I’d really recommend the workshops, the ones I’ve participated in have been super. I LOATHE Zoom & FaceTime & GoogleHangouts etc and have been a total refusenik all pandemic. The only session I (very reluctantly) take part in is my four-year-old’s ZoomBallet class and only because we’re in a holding pattern to preserve her place with the best ballet teacher for very many miles around.

ToastCosILoveIt · 06/12/2020 20:20

@Moominmammaatsea, thank you so much, so kind, yes, do PM me if you are in that position. I will, of course, cover Paypal fees and postage x

AmethystMoonShine · 07/12/2020 08:39

Finally got a cancellation email this morning for my herringbone blouse that they only told me was out of stock when I used chat last week! I’m bewildered at how we are all being told things in different orders. Some got the refund first, some nothing unless we used chat, some email first, some offered a waiting list.... bizarre when we all ordered pretty much at the same time! Confused

faustina · 07/12/2020 09:08

I think if you pay with PayPal they take the money straightaway. So those people will have to be refunded. I pay with a card and they only take the money when they despatch it - so they don't have to refund at all

Countmeout · 07/12/2020 09:20

Yes I got a cancellation email for the smock jumper in S this morning. The PayPal refund had come on Saturday.
Expecting the knit skirt and Francis T today but no text from Royal Mail so I won’t hold my breath.

Laska2Meryls · 07/12/2020 09:25

I have my 'secret sale' denim jacket and olive tee arriving today .. Also got a despatch order for the Japanese blouse..
Nothing yet on my full price order though! They are obviously inundated probably have very few staff in physically. I reckon the winter sale will be the same ..

OP posts:
AmethystMoonShine · 07/12/2020 09:34

I suspect you’re right @Laska2Meryls, I really do feel for the staff Sad

Countmeout · 07/12/2020 09:50

I am sure the staff are doing their best. I think sometimes we have an unrealistic view of the timeframes for delivery - I blame eBay for my expectations where sometimes you buy something and it arrives in a very short space of time. Sometimes even the next day. And Amazon Prime if you have it, we no longer do and it makes such a difference to delivery times.

Laska2Meryls · 07/12/2020 09:55

Yes , my son works for Liz Earle ( not in distribution,) but they have been inundated with orders throughout the lockdowns. ,( good for his and all their jobs, thankfully) But he tells me that they can have only half their staff working in warehouse because of distancing..

However it is hard when things go wrong because so many companies are struggling . I am having a v slow conversation with Boots right now over an order which has only half arrived and damaged and a missing box which they insist has gone put but the post office tracking says they are still waiting for (sigh).. .. problem is is contacting them and actually being able to talk to someone and the very slow replies to email s..

My ginger corduroy dress arrived and it’s a keeper. Glad I ordered the 12, I’m normally a 10 in Toast dresses but the top would have been too tight in a 10.
I’ve noticed I’m ordering more 12 dresses from Toast now I think about it, I’ve lost a few kilos this year too, so I’m not getting bigger. Maybe their sizing is altering? The top of the dresses particularly the button up ones seem to be cut closer than they used to be...

Saurus72 · 07/12/2020 12:21

Oh that’s interesting @AmethystMoonShine I’ve been a 12/14 in Toast dresses but this year have mainly bought 12. I definitely haven’t lost weight either 😊. Same thing with the (few) Hush dresses I have too 🤷‍♀️

SewingBeeAddict · 07/12/2020 12:37

My Toast order including the secret sale check dress due to arrive tomorrow🤞

faustina · 07/12/2020 13:54

That corduroy Dress is lovely but definitely VERY tight where it buttons up - usual Toast generous everywhere else though. Mine is off to the post office in about half an hour, along with the burnt caramel pull on cords - and I'm wearing the navy cords which fit like a glove!

faustina · 07/12/2020 13:55

.. and if anyone doesn't want their olive t, could you please let me know!

Saurus72 · 07/12/2020 14:15

Oooh a few new things on the website including this lovely www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+dresses+and+tunics/c1qag/wave+print+wrap+dress.htm

The wanting will never end 🙄. Although interestingly this looks to be the same style as the burgundy wrap dress but £50 cheaper. Maybe no-one has bought it at that eye-watering price.

Countmeout · 07/12/2020 15:04

I have to say I find the button front dresses tighter than the others as @AmethystMoonShine says. I think maybe because buttons can gape so easily whereas pull on dresses are more forgiving.
My parcel hasn’t arrived today. But that’s Royal Mails fault, it was last scanned at the National Hub on Saturday and hasn’t made it across for today - it’s been very foggy here though so that may explain it not getting over.

Count we don't live in the same place , do we? Are you tier one ? ....
