No @Laska2Meryls 🙊 we don’t have tiers. I’m in a circuit breaker .due to end this Friday. Then we all can meet for Christmas - well 3 households. Fortunately that fits my family.

Laska2Meryls · 07/12/2020 15:56

Ah i just wondered because you said about parcels being delayed by fog.. anyway my postman has just finally made it!! ..

Olive T is great ( even though I had to get XL as all that was left , but actually it works as a baggier tee on me and is nice and long..
I also really like the Denim jacket 12 is quite generous , but good I think
Obviously no one wears them done up ( or do they?) But here so you can see its quite swingy.. bad light though.. Its a very dark denim

@Laska2Meryls - that jacket is lovely - really suits you!

faustina · 07/12/2020 17:04

oh and I finally got an apologetic cancellation via email from toast for the light olive t-shirt

I like some of the new things on the website - love that gown, though it looks a little short

Dottty · 07/12/2020 17:09

So having returned the violet spot silk dress and the orange velvet dress I had more success with today's parcels. I am keeping the ochre trench coat and the olive t shirt. Both are gorgeous. I am also keeping the Kiku dress in dark green in a 14. I am returning the brushed cotton dress in artichoke despite liking it quite a lot but at £90 reluctantly sending it back (does anyone know if it was meant to come with a tie belt as mine didn't). So just awaiting the satin culottes in navy and the wool cashmere stripe skirt. Anybody else have any luck today?

Countmeout · 07/12/2020 18:15

That denim jacket is lovely @Laska2Meryls.
I’m so glad you liked the ochre trench coat @Dottty. Is the colour anything like the colour online?

Dottty · 07/12/2020 18:22

@Countmeout yes the colour is pretty close. Reminds me a bit of a slightly more orange Colman's mustard powder haha

I'm wearing my ginger tiered cord dress today too! Definitely small on the chest for Toast.

I've now had dispatch email for secret sale item too which I'd rather given up all hope of. Especially given the rather shit cs some of you have experienced. It's the checkerboard dress in slate that's ss item.

ToastCosILoveIt · 07/12/2020 22:48

My secret sale arriveed today: the kiku in a 12 and 14 and the checkerboard in a 12 and 14. The kiku is extremely fitted up top: i could get into the 12 and do it up but it did nothing for me except emphasise my bust which isn't what I want. The 14 looked better but I'm not mad on the neckline. They are both going back. The 12 chalkboard was better and I will keep it although it will need to be worn with DMs I think to give it an edge.

Looking forward to a few xmas sale things now.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 08/12/2020 09:27

I also received my chalkboard dress. I ordered 14 based on the reviews saying to size up but as a result it looked, I thought, very unflattering on and did nothing for me. Nice dress though can see it would be versatile for the right person. I feel like it 'reads' quite brown in the flesh.

Okay looking forward to the proper sale now Grin.
Toast I had the kiku dress for a while but could never make it work for me so sold it on ebay. Beautiful print though.

Laska2Meryls · 08/12/2020 10:23

Ok here is denim jacket in daylight ..
Today I should have the Japanese check shirt arriving

That’s a great jacket @Laska2Meryls. If it’s anything like the denim I’ve bought from Toast you’ll be wearing that for decades.

Also really excited for the proper sale - fingers crossed there are some decent reductions 🤞

parttimepunk · 08/12/2020 10:58

I'm sitting on my hands trying to resist ordering in the hope that there will be a proper sale soon.

I'm hoping that there will be reductions on the green Ine shirt dress and the gingham cotton cashmere dress. Clearly I have a thing for check dresses as I already have the chalkboard dress and the crinkled cotton check dress Blush

Laska2Meryls · 08/12/2020 11:25

Saurus yes it fantastic quality . and very like the current one they have ( slightly different collar, but actually I like the shape of this one better )I am really happy with it ..

Parttimepunk I dont want to be too enabling, but if you were to buy now, and the things you have go in the sale , because of the extended returns period , you will still be able to get then at the discounted price Wink

I dont have any big wants in a sale ( but then I always say that until I see something discounted !!) I'd order the pumkin stripe Mira jumper though, if it is in the sale, and maybe another wool tencel top in red

I do have the Jamdani scarf and the Emma Aitchison ripple necklace coming and if they go in the sale I will re-order , those

parttimepunk · 08/12/2020 12:46

Fortunately for my bank balance, I'm not in the UK and the postage costs from Toast are prohibitive (€10 delivery and €10 to return). So I have to really really want something before I order. It's hard to resist sometimes though Grin

Saurus72 · 08/12/2020 13:25

@parttimepunk that’s very hard considering Toast sizing is so weird! I got so exasperated with it that the last two dresses I bought (full price) were bought in a Toast shop so I could try on different sizes. All the orders/returns get very wearing!

parttimepunk · 08/12/2020 13:57

It's a pain, but it does help rein in my spending. It means I have to pay very careful attention to the reviews in the Toast site plus the comments and pictures on this thread as that reduces the chance of a mistake. So thank you all - you've probably saved me a fortune in postage !

Laska2Meryls · 08/12/2020 14:23

Japanese check shirt sadly too just too small and not long enough for me . Its a S .. Didn't someone want one and missed out?
If so pm me , id be happy to post it on for what I paid for it.. (and postage). Otherwise it will go back ..

SewingBeeAddict · 08/12/2020 20:06

My order arrived
Chalkboard dress size 12 .
Love it, narrow on the shoulders but that stops it looking little house.
Also its dark grey/ black and the lines are a very pale biscuit. Nothing brown about it at all .
Trailing Leaves dress size 10.
This is an absolutely beautiful drees, much nicer than the pictures show.
Its just cut so well and makes me look way slimmer than I am .
Only thing is its VERY long but fine on me as Im tall.I belted a the front and its lovely and falls so beautifully.
10/10 Toast
Navy nightshirt very nice but not really brushed cotton, its actually nicer .Keeping anyway.Grin

SewingBeeAddict · 08/12/2020 20:08

I went to JL
Had a look at the new KIN stuff.
Mahoosive , all of it .
A really nice raincoat but the size 8 was bigger than even my roomiest of coasts.
