These skirts - am I mad?

They look cosy & perfect for winter - but I have a suspicion that on someone (ie me) not model shaped the effect may not be quite the same.... I particularly fancy this one but looking at the reviews probably too long, so maybe this one. this dress looks gorgeous too, but I am very much not a tall willowy teenager....

Maybe the rest of the Poetry customers are too busy living their lives looking fabulous to comment but as a long-term customer myself who has actually bought and worn the clothes, wanted to add my two-pence worth. The Poetry clothes I’ve bought over the last few years are cut well, excellent quality, still going strong & well worth the money IMHO. I wouldn’t describe myself as ‘frumpy’ and don’t think Poetry is either. Ultimately, fashion is personal taste - why don’t you just order them and see for yourself? You can always send them back - Poetry does free returns which is another reason I’m a fan.

I used to wear skirts like that about 20 yrs ago.I was told they were frumpy. The dress is nice but they have nicer dresses.

I really like the second skirt but I think I would wear it with a more fitted jumper, cashmere etc.
I am 5ft 9" size 12 and I think I could carry it ok.
I love the shape of it, I don't find it any 'frumpier' then COS or Toast to be honest. It's a particular aesthetic and I quite like it.
